  1. The attackers were members of Al Quaeda, whose leaders were in Afghanistan, along with some ten thousand holy warriors who had flocked to their standard. Afghanistan richly deserved to be bombed. And the same degree of freedom people had under ISIS.
  2. Israel's problem is that all around their borders is the land of the barbarians. And the barbarians are religious fanatics who hate Jews. And a not insignificant number of them are more than willing to seek martyrdom by killing a Jew or two. Israelis have had to live with this knowledge since birth, that there are millions of people just salivating at the prospect of somehow getting through or under or over or around the barriers Israel puts on its border so they can kill a Jew and obtain martyrdom. Extreme measures not quite in synch with dainty, delicate Canadian sensibilities have had to be employed. And, of course, Israelis are human. It would be astonishing if many of them didn't hate the Arabs back, and didn't blame them for all manner of problems (rightly so in many cases). It would be statistically impossible that some of them didn't act out of that hatred and do things they shouldn't be doing. But the blame lies with the barbarians. What is this 'free Palestine' of which you speak? Anyone who thinks Palestine will be free if it gains its independence probably thought Rhodesia would be free once it became Zimbabwe. Hamas intends to implement an Islamic state similar to Iran. Do you call that freedom? Nor would this result in peace. They'd arm up with heavy weapons and then attack Israel. You have all the cliche's of the far left. But nobody pays much attention to these nonsensical accusations anymore. You know that some of the people Hamas murdered when they crossed the border were Muslims, right? You know there are Muslim soldiers and police in Israel? That there are Muslims in the Knesset? Just because you far-left kooks have joined together with Muslim immigrants (who despise everything you believe in, by the way) to wave their silly flags in the streets does not in any way support your belief 'the people' agree with you. Most of 'the people' wish you losers would just go and live in the middle east where you'll be happier. If these people were kidnapped and taken to the border of Gaza, then pushed across. How do you think the Gazans would treat them? About like they did the Jews in that peacenik dance festival, I imagine, gleeful slaughter and rape. What Hamas did was because of their religious fanaticism that tells them to kill all Jews.
  3. FAFO I think this is just yet another self-inflicted wound in a long series of self-inflicted wounds the Palestinians have unfortunately chosen to inflict upon themselves. I'm pretty sure the only reason they haven't blown up the penthouses where Hamas leaders are and bombed the shit out of Iran is because the US has forbidden it.
  4. The majority of Gazans are 18 or under. This means all of the under-18s, and those up to about age 30 have gone through a school system whose curriculum was designed and enforced by Hamas. That curriculum teaches that martyrdom is the most noble of all callings, and that the Jews must die as per their religious teachings. Al-Bukhari (3593) and Muslim (2921) narrated from the hadith of Ibn ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) say: “The Jews will fight you and you will prevail over them, then a rock will say: ‘O Muslim, here is a Jew behind me; kill him.’” In Saheeh Muslim (2922), it is narrated from the hadith of Abu Hurayrah that the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “The Hour will not begin until the Muslims fight the Jews and the Muslims will kill them, until a Jew hides behind a rock or a tree, and the rock or tree will say: O Muslim, O slave of Allah, there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him. Except the gharqad (a thorny tree), for it is one of the trees of the Jews.”
  5. I can be wholly against Trudeau and his brainless, dumbass policies and beliefs - like immigration - and also wholly against Trump and his brainless, dumbass policies and beliefs.
  6. Ya think some farmer from rural syria is going to be able to fool a skilled interviewer? Again, a skilled interviewer and a well-written personality test don't come at these things head-on. They are quite capable of getting a good read on what people think - or they wouldn't ever be used by business. Because everyone tries to tell the company what the company wants when taking these tests! And yes, some of them research the tests to figure out how to fool them. And the best liars succeed! But most of our applicants are just not in that class. You think Taxme could fool a personality test, much less a skilled interviewer? And English is his native language! Mmmm. Where would this evidence be found? The government? Not bloody likely! That's not something they would ever want to get out! The media? You may not have noticed but there's not a lot of deep research being conducted by the media these days. And when it is it's not into something that would trigger the woke like how often immigrants commit crimes or how often they go on welfare or how often they're caught lying about their credentials. Even if they're caught up by trying and failing to get their doctor's license or unable to work as a licensed plumber or electrician or architect or whatever, who cares? They're still here. And it's not like their failure is going to get reported to immigration so they can investigate. Plus, they'll likely just work anyway on the side. And most professions don't have a licensing body, which is how so many really awful Indian software guys manage to get hired and produce some really terrible code before they get dumped. But when you say you're not seeing it. Just remember, this is not a topic the mainstream media would be interested in and it's not a topic the government would want known. It's also not a topic the opposition would look into and start complaining about either. They're very pro-immigration too, after all.
  7. Oh, boy. Giving Trudeau credit for objecting to Chinese election interference after how many years of denying it and doing nothing about it and covering it up? And he STILL hasn't done a bloody thing to stop more of the same because he knows it's benefiting him! Mmm, perhaps if we were to enforce our own laws against people coming here and carrying on their own private wars against their real homelands that sort of thing wouldn't happen. But the Sikhs are an important voting block so it's carte blanche for them to do whatever they want here! So India is starting to flex its muscles and take out terrorist organizers in foreign countries much like Israel does, or the US. The US and Israel are famous for murdering plotters who had found a welcoming embrace in foreign countries like Syria or Yemen or Somalia where extradition isn't an option. Let's see. India basically expelled over 40 Canadian diplomats for no reason and our response was to... whine. Oh yeah, that's really showing some balls there, champ. I'm sure we even wrote a stern and indignant letter to them! Much like the ones we sent to China when they had kidnapped Canadians and were violating trade agreements to punish us for arresting one of their princesses.
  8. The largest number controls how things go. Which is why it's really incredibly DUMB to not want to be the largest number. And even DUMBER to think that when the largest number of people are from the third world - which has no lengthy cultural history of democracy or freedom - are in charge they're going to treat us with anything like the respect we treat them. Many of them are like MAGA types, completely uninterested in compromising with others.
  9. Actually, they didn't all die in concentration camps. Sometimes they were just shot dead in their homes or in ditches or wherever the Nazis found them. I was off by a million, too. It was 17 million. The numbers aren't hard to find. And they mostly came from the Germans themselves, who kept very good records. https://www.statista.com/chart/24024/number-of-victims-nazi-regime/ Well, to be honest, yes. Mmmm, not so much. Oh, believe me, I have no doubt if "conservatives" like you were to take over I'd expect a lot of censoring going on - and a lot of exterminations too.
  10. Actually, they have a point. Countries (other than the US) always pay a lot more attention to those nearby. So Japan will pay a lot more attention to Taiwan, Korea, Singapore, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, and of course, China than us. Same for Europe. The French care about what's going on in the UK, Belgium, The Netherlands, Germany, Spain, etc., a lot more than about what's happening in far-off Canada. Virtually all our oil and gas goes to the US. Our food products go into a great, sloshing pool of the same from Brazil, Argentina, Russia, Australia, Ukraine (who knew Ukraine was 5th largest wheat exporter until the war? Canada is 7th btw). But aside from those in the business ordinary people pay little attention to where such stuff comes from. I read that site every day. It knows you're from Canada. So it shows you Canadian stories. If you go to Europe or Africa and go on the site it won't be showing you those same stories. I'd say there was a lot of amazement that boring Canada had such things happening. And even more that an orderly place like this didn't seem capable of doing anything to stop them. It would be like stories of riots and shootouts in the streets in Sweden! Uh, Sweden from twenty years ago. Today, of course, now that they've let in all those Muslims shootouts in the streets and riots are pretty commonplace there. They're even talking about bringing the army in to get control over the Muslim gangs that use hand grenades, RPGs, and other explosives during their daily combat. Say it with me! Diversity is our streeeenngghhhtthhh!
  11. It's more like it goes back to a time when people came here by boat. There was no such thing as birth tourism. Anyone coming here was almost certainly not going home anytime soon. That, obviously has changed. We should change, as well. None of our European peers give out citizenship just because someone is born there. They do it according to who the parents are.
  12. Australia is more careful about who they let in, and prioritizes people with really good English, especially British applicants. A very high proportion of their immigrants are from the UK compared to Canada.
  13. Candidate A hates Jews and thinks homos are disgusting and should all be killed, or at least imprisoned. He also thinks women belong to their fathers or husbands, and must dress modestly. Nor is there anything wrong with beating women who act disrespectfully or dress improperly. He also thinks western women are all whores and he should be able to do anything he wants to them. Candidate B doesn't care about what your religion is, is okay with gays and respects women's rights. Are you going to tell me that it's bigoted to choose Candidate A over Candidate B? Go ahead. Make that case. No. You forget that people with these beliefs feel they're normal. They're nor ashamed of them and see no reason to cover them up. Further, a clever personality test avoids asking direct questions. If done properly, with a series of leading questions on a topic, and then a blunt question elsewhere it can even determine with reasonable accuracy if a person was lying on that subject. We actually hire foreign companies in other countries to do the testing. How good they are is uncertain. Our major source countries have massive cheating and forgery of documents throughout their societies. It's not that hard to pay someone to take a test, or to just buy a phony degree. There's no actual interview with a Canadian government employee to verify anything. We don't generally do any testing. You send in your documentation that says you're an engineer or plumber or whatever, along with some kind of resume and it goes into your file and you get the points. No one interviews you to see if you actually know anything about engineering or plumbing. As for cheating on the tests. Someone with really good English who has done a lot of studying on these can fool them. But how many of our immigrants meet those criteria? In fact, an actual personality test that required decent English skills would screen for language abilities better than a document from a school. It was warmer, and anyone could move there. A lot would move south today if they were allowed to.
  14. I think the major problem with the low birth rate is insecurity. People have kids when they are in a secure relationship and have economic security. Neither is the case for young people now. You rarely walk out of high school and into a union guaranteed job at Ford or Stelco that means your economic income is secure. Instead, you do a series of temporary or gig jobs for low wages while trying to work your way into a job that pays well, has benefits and is somewhat secure. Even if you do get a nice job it's rarely secure these days as compared to the previous generations. Meanwhile, the days when people married at 18 are long gone. Now they're mostly still looking around at 30, or living with someone, but living with isn't married. Until both parties have a high degree of confidence the other is going to stick around for many years they don't want to have kids.
  15. He's already made it clear that he doesn't like those whose cultural baggage would be described as deeply misogynistic by our standards. I agree with him on that. I'd screen through personality tests to look for people who had flexible, adaptable minds, who were more open to accepting Canadian values. And who intended to live their lives here and wanted, actually WANTED to become Canadian and integrate. I would screen OUT anyone who was a fundamental anything - be it Jewish, Islamic, Hindu or Sikh. Those people tend to have very stratified thinking, especially on morals and values. On top of that I'd do was I believe it's Australia? does, and if someone claims they have a particular skill or profession let them have a second interview with a Canadian professional (By Zoom perhaps) so the veracity of their claim could be considered more fully.
  16. We don't know the exact numbers that would be proper but we certainly know the ones we have are far too high. In fact, Canada's immigration department was warning politicians back six years ago that Canada was reaching its 'absorptive capacity' in terms of immigration. And the numbers of people arriving were about half what they are now. Our 'points-based' system does not screen for compatibility at all. It screens only for skills and education, and it's not very good at that. Since a recent study found half of 'economic' class immigrants faired worse than Canadians on average, even ten years after arrival. And they're the most economically successful immigrants! But the points are derived simply by checking off numbers according to what documents potential immigrants send in. There's no interview. We do little to ascertain whether their documents are real, despite the fact most of our immigrants come from parts of the world where forged documents, especially educational ones are rampant. There's no effort to see if the potential immigrants hates Jews or thinks women who show their ankle should be raped. And doing a sort of personality test on potential immigrants sounds like a good idea to me. They're not perfect but if designed properly with the proper questions you can get an idea as to someone's beliefs and thoughts, even when they try to hide them. As far as what we get for making them spend more time here before they get citizenship. I would say it gives them more time to become Canadians, so that when they vote it's more about what's good for Canada than what's good for the country they come from. Look at Trudeau desperately trying to figure out how to come to a policy on Israel and Gaza given how many angry 'new Canadians' are in his caucus and on the streets and who don't like Jews very much and would just as soon see Israel destroyed. I'd like to see a strong and unbiased study done too, but since our immigration system has not been done like that for fifty years, and is largely a tool for political recruiting by successive governments, I'd say slowing that down would be a good idea just to start.
  17. These are foreign students. They don't get student loans. At least, not from our governments.
  18. No, not really. That certainly exists. Far too many people come here to work having no intention of becoming Canadians. They earn enough to improve their lifestyle back home and then return there, coming back only when they're endangered or need healthcare or education for their kids. And they contribute as little to the taxman as they possibly can, hiding their money overseas. But this is not that. Yes. We could do something about that by, for example, removing automatic citizenship to children born here to birth tourists. Not to mention giving interviews and personality tests to prospective immigrants. But not under this government.
  19. I'm quite happy a guy whose administration murdered sixteen million people in concentration camps lost. Yes. Anyone rational would be. Stalin is dead and not troubling us anymore. You, on the other hand, are a strange and troubled individual who seems lost amid the debris of an uncontrolled internet.
  20. Well, if I had to live in the middle east that would be the only place I'd want to go. It's the only place with honest police, an independent judicial system, and free speech. I know you hate it since it's full of Jews but that wouldn't really bother me.
  21. I hate to interrupt this crying fest, but if we can judge from the study a Scarborough food bank made of its clientele (it operates five food banks) the problem has little to do with our economy. According to their study 95% of their clients were not born in Canada. What's more 72% have only been in Canada a year. And, of course 65% are foreign students. So here's a few ideas to deal with this. First, you start insisting on stringent economic abilities for those who want to study in Canada. They have to show they can support themselves. Second, stop letting in so many goddamn refugees. Third cut back on refugees, foreign students, foreign workers AND immigrants. Presto, housing will suddenly get a lot cheaper! https://toronto.citynews.ca/2023/08/03/new-report-from-scarborough-food-bank-paints-unsettling-picture-of-food-insecurity/
  22. That is a confusing mishmash of statements I don't think this has anything to do with dual citizenship, as such. It has to do with bringing people over and then not holding them to any kind of responsibility or behaviour. We should deport anyone who comes here as soon as they commit a criminal act. But our deportation system is broken, just like our legal system. There are numerous cases of it taking many years to deport someone as they and their government-paid lawyers try one appeal after another, deliberately stretching things out as long as possible. The cost is enormous, but no one seems to care about that. The burden is 100% on the state and 0% on the accused and convicted person. And even if everyone agrees he should be booted out I believe our policy is we don't deport people to war zones. We DID deport people to Syria, Somalia, Haiti and other such places under Harper, but I don't believe we do anymore.
  23. Look up what Islamic law says about female witnesses. It's why rape charges are almost never pressed. A woman who charges a man with rape and has only her word against his fails because a woman's word is only worth half that of a man.
  24. The last time I saw a poll on that, granted, it was several years ago, the children of immigrant Muslims were MORE religious than their parents. Not less.
  25. Sure. But if the argument is "Why should you worry about bringing tens of thousands of men here who think death is the proper punishment for a whore when we have men here who like to grope them or watch them on the internet?" well, then, what can you say to such an argument but laugh in their face?
