That's all well and good, but who makes these laws? The politicians? And who elects them? Right now 80% of the population of greater Toronto and 72% of greater Vancouver are immigrants and their kids. This number is going to rise precipitously with Trudeau's big increases in immigration. More than half the population of Canada will be immigrants by about 2030. And as we've put no effort at either screening newcomers, most of whom are from the third world, or integrating them, that is going to change our overall values and what laws Canada supports. Maybe because if you invite the third world to Canada then Canada becomes more and more like the third world?

If they had the military power to do anything against us we WOULD all be in trouble. Historically, the Muslims continued to try to invade the West (and everywhere else) until they no longer had the military power to do so. All of that is hugely amplified in a religion where every country still has severe blasphemy laws (sometimes punishable by death if the accused isn't beaten to death or set on fire by a mob before they can be taken away.
-
Untrue. Islam does incorporate elements of both Christianity and Judaism but its views also flow from its warrior prince prophet, who was in the habit of marrying little girls and said it was fine to rape and take as a slave any woman who was an infidel. Basically, any infidel woman is fair game to any Muslim man who can grab her.

I agree. The misogyny in India is something we should be paying a lot more attention to. It's brutal, especially in terms of sexual violence. And we're bringing over a hundred and twenty thousand Indians every year - completely unscreened other than for criminal records. A friend of mine visited India last year with his family. The hotel warned him not to ever take his eyes off his teenage daughter in any crowded place, and in fact, provided (rented) a guard to accompany them when they went to places like markets. A very large guy in a turban and uniform with a club. So what is it doing for women in Canada when we bring over masses of Indians without screening? They might not mob them and grope them in public (then again they might) but are they going to hire them or promote them?

Just what kind of beliefs do you imagine a Palestinian has who has gone through their entire schooling under a curriculum designed by Hamas? A curriculum that glorifies martyrdom above all else, and preaches the need for a worldwide caliphate? You think it's just a few of them with harsh religious based values? Uhm, hanging her from a crane for adultery because she didn't have several male witnesses to back her up?

A percentage of social conservatives want to ban abortion. The majority would settle for it being regulated. You know, like it is in every other Western country from Bosnia to Finland? Go ahead and tell me Swedish women or Icelandic women have no medical rights. I dare you. Only a tiny percentage of them. Let me quote from Douglas Murray, whose article you probably didn't bother to read. Or at least to paraphrase. "People love saying they're against the pope in support of gay rights. That's all well and good, but for once I wish instead of protesting against the pope they'd give a thought to people who don't just want to stop me from marrying but want to through me off a f*cking building". And you're in favour of this, I take it?
-
People like you are under the illusion that the only ones who oppose your drag queen perversions and the need to explain to six year old boys that they could actually be girls are conservative Muslims. That's because the ferocity of the effort by people like you and Hardner to suppress any and all opposition has cowed many ordinary Canadians. The Muslims, being more insular, fear no 'cancellation' within their communities by saying this is dumb. But the majority of parents oppose this. The sane ones not caught up in your flaky far-left sexual fantasies.
-
You have to remember that Hardner is one of those people who don't WANT posts like this, or any other posts that go against his far-left social beliefs. If he had his way such posts would be immediately deleted and anyone who makes them banned. He has fallen victim to the leftist fallacy that says if you suppress any disagreement then the disagreement does not exist.

Actually, if you weren't such an uptight, priggish progressive twat, you'd see what it warned of was religious fanaticism and the behaviour traits which are tied to that. But you're too dull-witted to allow any sort of thought to penetrate your skull that even begins to suggest any given culture or people or religion might be even slightly better or more appropriate for our country than any other. The problems this country finds itself in now are because of smug progressives like you who think welcoming the world won't bring the world's problems here.

Douglas Murray, editor of the Spectator, writing in the National Review, dares to openly state the problem with bringing in large numbers of Muslims and spending no effort to weed out those with bigoted, racist or misogynistic world views. What happens is your country changes. Things which were once open become closed. Ways and styles of behaviour, things you can say and do, will be threatened or changed by angry, religious fundamentalists who, as we all know, are quite willing to resort to violence to get their way. How many? What percentage? No one knows. No one dares to ask. But to quote Brigitte Gabriel, it's not the quiet mass of people who decide on things, it's the loud, angry and determined minority. It was that way in Germany in the 1930s, and in Japan, in Russia then and now. Most want to just get on with their lives. But they're irrelevant. China is the same. Most are peaceful people. But they're irrelevant. And most estimates of the world population say up to a quarter of Muslims could be considered hard core beliefs in a world wide caliphate and an Islamic state. And the more Muslims we allow in without any screening and without any effort at integration, the higher that population will become here. https://www.nationalreview.com/magazine/2023/12/how-mass-immigration-makes-antisemitism-worse/

Should Hamas support rallies in Canada be stopped?
I am Groot replied to blackbird's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Forgot how to counter anything they say, too. Dude, if you just know nothing whatever about the Ottoman Empire or how Israel was created, then just don't talk about it. How hard is that? -

If you don't count the revolts which were put down with incredible bloodshed and slaughter. Or the bloodshed and slaughter done by the Turks because they merely suspected the loyalty of various groups, especially Christians. It's not surprising there's peace in North Korea given anyone who objects to anything gets killed. What did you want them to do? And btw, it was the UN that created Israel, not the Brits. If you don't think there were anti-Jewish pograms throughout the history of the middle east you really aren't conversant with the history there. -
Quebec so far this week: • Synagogue firebombed • Imam says Jews should be exterminated • Pro-Palestinian screams "kike" at Jewish student • Professor calls Jewish student "a whore," says go back to Poland • Two Jewish schools hit with gunfire.

Uh, no it certainly does not. Let's admit that 90%+ of antisemitic incidents are from Muslim immigrants. -
It's all a massive, bloody waste of time and money anyway. The world will NEVER get near being carbon neutral, and neither will we. Not, at least, unless we beggar ourselves to do it, or fusion power gets up and running. The cost is too great. The technological issues are too hard to surmount. People will have a revolution if you try. If you really believe it's possible, or if you think the world is going to burn up, watch a simple presentation by Bjorn Lomborg. They guy is reasonable, smart, and while admitting to global warming and pointing out things we have to solve points out the ridiculous cost and impossibility of present government policies.

I oppose the settlements in West Bank. I think it's stupid, and wasteful in that any real solution will require Israel to remove them all. But the settlements didn't start the Intifadas - prior to which 40% of Palestinians worked in Israel. And let's not think that was in any way behind what Hamas was doing when it sent its savages across the border. And also let's not pretend that if all the settlements were removed and the West Bank and Gaza were given their unconditional independence the first thing they wouldn't do would be acquiring as many heavy weapons as possible while organizing to attack Israel. Nor that even if they didn't, they would be any more free than Syria or Iran, or any more prosperous than Yemen.
-
Nobody gives a shit about Palestinians. Do you see people out in the streets for the hundreds of thousands of people who have died so far in Yemen, and are still dying? Why not? How about the hundreds of thousands who died in Syria and are still dying? Nobody cares. If the Palestinians were being bombarded by Syrians or Iraqis or Jordanians the world would yawn. It's the Jews that are bringing out the anger. The great majority of those demonstrators are Muslims. And they hate Jews.
-
That's pretty simplistic. I'm sure Hamas leaders would be willing to shake the hands of an Israeli PM to get full independence too. Then they'd immediately start building up the largest army they could and then attack Israel and kill as many Jews as they could.

Jesus, read a little history. At least have a glance at Wikipedia. That area was owned/controlled by the Ottoman Empire. That Empire no longer existed after WW1. The British and French took control of the area briefly, for like 20-30 years. The particular area in question was then given to the UN. The UN created the two countries of Israel and Palestine. No one was to be dispossessed from their land. Then all the surrounding Arab states attacked. During the fighting, a lot of Arabs fled (and some were encouraged to flee). Some did not. They now make up about 20% of Israel's population. Some were killed by Hamas during their attack. The Arabs lost. Gaza was taken over by Egypt, though, and Jordan took the West Bank, then annexed it. And that was the situation until the 1967 war when Israel beat another set of Arab armies and took over various pieces of land, including the West Bank and Gaza. The only path to peace I see is for Egypt to take back Gaza and Jordan to take back the West Bank, but they don't want either. They want nothing to do with the Palestinians on them, who they feel would be unlikely to make peaceful citizens. Do you usually rebel by chopping the limbs of children, gang-raping and slitting the throats of women, murdering elderly people and the like? Because if so then f*ck your rebellion.
-
No. If you're a religious fanatic God is all that matters. So what if a few thousand people die? They were killed in a war with the infidel Jews and therefore have gone to heaven. They are to be envied! They are martyrs for Allah! And look at the great publicity their deaths have bought us around the world! Stupid, soft-headed infidel Westerners are crying over them and cursing Israel! Put more children on the front lines! We need more children to die so we can send the video to the West and they'll hate Israel and Jews even more!
-
Well, genius, I want you to try to imagine, assuming you have one, how Canada would react if the natives on those reserves started murdering random Canadians. Doing it a lot. Like, driving across from the reserves, spotting a random white person, and killing them. How do you think our attitude toward the reserves and those on them might change? Think we might try to restrict their movement? Restrict what goes into the reserves that they can use to make weapons with? I mean, it's an exact comparison in that we have hundreds of reserves and there's only two Palestinian territories. But I'm sure you get the idea. Who says this is their own country/

Would this be the 'rest of the world' who voted down a Canadian resolution to condemn the Hamas attack on October 7? Maybe f*ck the rest of the world, then.
-
Yeaaaah, bullshit. The lifestyle of people in the West Bank is largely akin to those in Jordan in most terms, including wealth. It used to be better. And Gaza used to be much better. You know what screwed them over? The Intifadas. That was when their leaders decided it would be a great idea to send people into Israel (much easier to go there then) to run people over in cars, to stab and shoot people on the streets, to put bombs in buses and restaurants and markets. Hundreds of attacks, hundreds of Jews killed. And with every intifada the Israelis tightened security. Then the fences started going up, and then the walls and alarms and guard towers. And guess what? The attacks all but stopped! Let's not forget that there would be no Palestine with or without Israel. The West Bank was grabbed by Jordan soon after the UN announcement of two separate states, then formally annexed. Egypt took Gaza. No Palestinian state. Then Egypt and Jordan lost them in the 1967 war with Israel. And since neither would sign a peace treaty Israel wouldn't give them back. Now they wouldn't take them back. Neither one wants anything to do with the Palestinians. They'll support them publicly but the last thing they want to do is have them in their country. You couldn't pay Jordan enough to take the West Bank back. If the Palestinians stop fighting there will be peace. If the Israelis stop fighting they will all be killed. See the difference?

I would also wager most of them are invented by Hamas. According to Hamas everyone who died is a civilian and half of them are children. Bullshit. Where are the men, hiding behind their women and kids? I don't believe a word that comes out of their lying faces.
