  1. the only one that lies here is you so...suck it up buttercup LOL
  2. Oh my...confux regurgitates again
  3. BS, as I said earlier, I have family in Yellowknife and they have a lot of EV's and they are doing very well Also, most people do not travel over 600KMs so they are perfect for the average person "EVs accounting for 17% of new car sales in Canada in 2024. " "As of 2023, there were over 500,000 zero-emission vehicles (ZEVs) on Canadian roads, " "in the first three quarters of 2024, there were approximately202,103 new battery-electric vehicles (BEVs) and 68,882 new plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) registered"So you are very much out of touch on EV usage LOL
  4. HA HA HA With guys like you around...I don't need to go to comedy clubs...I only have to read about you conservatives stroking each other HA HA HA
  5. Ford stood up to him alright and damaged Canada and the effort to come to some arrangement with the US. That is what is "not so good" So no, he did not do the right thing...he did not and cannot speak for all the other Provinces. The situation we are in now has nothing to do with Carney.
  6. For sure he ill and does. That should be enough to realize that fanning the fire is not a wise thing to do. While Ford may have thought he was informing and making Americans wiser, Trump takes it as a personal attack. I think what Ford did was very irresponsible (but correct) and if he thought he was not going to realize consequences, he was also very wrong. All the effort that has been expended in this trade war discussion with the Americans may have just been flushed down the drain. Sad thing is that we cannot "distance" ourselves from the US, let alone their crazy leader. Hopefully Carney will discuss this with Trump while in Asia and can smooth it over.
  7. I retort only when I am addressed. I have asked certain posters to stop responding to anything I post but, they do not and, by the way, do it in very insulting and demeaning ways. So, I respond in kind. I would like to participate intelligently and responsibly but when certain posters immediately attack.. well, As I said, I respond in kind.
  8. The problem with that thinking is that the tariffs are not only on Ontario. All of Canada is suffering and now, all of Canada is in limbo. Yup, Trump is certainly the one imposing tariffs but...he is also the one that has the control and what we want. I hope Carney can and will smooth things over but...he should not have had to . Yup, but things time we need to remember who damaged or prolonged the problem and it was certainly not Carney.
  9. How could it possibly be nonsensical??? Ford spent $75 million of Ontario taxpayer money to broadcast advertisements all over the US networks, especially during ALCS baseball games. For sure Trump likes tariffs, everyone, even Americans, know that. The thing though is that he terminated all trade talks with Canada. Tactic or not, it has not done any good for Canada or talks Canada was having. This was a huge mistake by Ford and his government. Who knows how far this has set the talks back. Carney and his team were working on it and now? What? This is all on Fords shoulders.
  10. So, as a result of Fords advertising campaign, it pi$$ed of Trump enough that he cancelled all trade talks with Canada. "Donald Trump says he is ending all trade talks with Canada based on an anti-tariff ad the Ontario government is running featuring former U.S. President Ronald Reagan warning about the economic threats posed by tariffs." https://toronto.citynews.ca/2025/10/23/trump-says-trade-talks-with-canada-terminated-over-ford-government-anti-tariff-ads/ So, a conservative effort fails.... big time. Cannot blame this on Carney
  11. Nope, a reminder "Blah Blah Blah, so much Blah for nothing from a LOSER...not worth reading LOL"
  12. OH NO!!!! More Blather from a LOSER. Is that the best you can do??? What a LOSER you are LOL
  13. Blah Blah Blah, so much Blah for nothing from a LOSER...not worth reading LOL I never cry for self inflicted LOSERS like you...I only laugh LOL
  14. OH NO!!!! More Blather from a LOSER. Keep on Keeping on....cannot get me out of your head and you need to keep responding...I am your addiction and I can play you like a fiddle LOL
  15. I have a tendancy to agree with your concerns about EV's in the Winter. I have family in Yellowknife and asked them if there EV's up there and they said yes, lots of them. They seem to work just fine. They also said the range is severely compromised but they are still being used. I think EV's do have a place with us. Primarily as commuter cars in cities.
  16. Blah Blah Blah, so much Blah for nothing from a LOSER...not worth reading LOL
  17. You are as uninformed as confux. The EV business was never a "key Industry"??? It never got off the ground in Canada. Oh and I only down vote stupid posts and I never run out of those posted by the LOSERS LOL
  18. HA HA HA cannot stand the facts HA HA HA Poor Baby ...hurt feeling again? Here is a fact...All I said was "Then tell confux to alter his thread title. He claimed it was a "Key Industry". Fact: EV's are not a "Key Industry" in Canada. Nothing "cheezy" about that. Even your cohorts agree with that. HA HA HA
  19. HA HA HA Poor baby....hate the reality hammer that beats you on the head. So keep on blubbering and feed your conservative bedfellows LOL
  20. Nash was not the first "small" car maker. There was Crosley and even the King Midget. Nash Rambler was the one vehicle and the ill fated Metropolitan was another. But cheap gas was the reason no other decided to downsize. Then came the oil embargo and then the oil crisis was a big factor in American automotive downsizing. Then came CAFE standards. Japanese quality?? I remember Honda coming over. Zero quality, the joke was that they used Coke cans for the metal in the bodies. Japanese quality was horrible for many years. As for a Canadian market... well, we in Canada do not now or will we ever have enough of a market for manufacturers to ever set up plans exclusively for Canadians. We are too expensive to make cars.
  21. Expect nothing less from a conservative LOSER like you LOL
  22. I don't either but got the impression they did not when Ford made a statement. I think, but am not sure, some got cash up front for construction, others had performance incentives if certain measures were achieved and others got tax incentives.
  23. I think you underestimate the American automotive business in general. Yes, they made some questionable vehicles but, they sold a lot of them based on consumer demand. The imports only came to the US because there was a huge demand and the US manufacturers could not keep up. I think you underestimate the EV sales in the US. As for 39c a gallon...well, stop smokin that stuff if you think that LOL
  24. Then tell confux to alter his thread title. He claimed it was a "Key Industry". LOL And yes, all levels of government have incentivized vehicle manufacturers and battery manufacturers with abject failure. Having said that, did the governments actually give the money or just promise it to them???
  25. When was the EV industry ever a "Key Industry" in Canada??? Especially in the delivery "van" business? GM cannot sell them so, they stop building them. No surprise. Same as Stelantis Compass. They are closing the Canadian plant and moving it to the US. Thing is, the Compass is also not selling either so, the move is show business. It won't open in the US either LOL. They are just pleasing Trump.
