For sure Europe manufactures but they also import form China, India, Taiwan. I agree with wages not keeping up but, that is not new and yet, we survived. The reason we don't make or manufacture in Canada is exactly why we are in the the problem we are in. While our minimum wage has been kept low...other wages have not and we have out priced ourselves and we demand cheaper products so...manufacture has moved out of Canada. As for our agriculture, well, our climate ensures we only grow for a few months and harvest for one month and the rest of the time, we must import.
