  1. Yeah sure LOL You are far too convinced that one party is dirty and the others are snowy white. But that's OK, having a head in the sand is not unusual. Harper: http://tomduck.ca/posts/2015-10-06_50-reasons-to-dump-harper.html And then there was Mulroney LOL
  2. Or hiding illegal ones the best they can. Just Chinese nationals??? Please do not try and make one party less susceptible than another. If there are votes to be got, they will do what they can to get them. Harper kowtowed to the Chinese just as much as Trudeau and the politicians before them. China was and is too important to the Canadian economy. Bottom line is China (among others) does what it can to influence Canada and its policies. Why anyone is surprised is what is beyond me LOL This was 4 years ago...you telling me no one knew or had an inkling influence peddling was going on? https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/china-india-interference-1.5284473
  3. Encouraged?? Show me a political candidate or party that discourages donations and help from anyone LOL Harper was just as bad but he always played a human rights card (with no consequence) and made it seem righteous.
  4. Please don't be so naive to think it is only the liberals that play this game? Politicians, and Politics in general, live and thrive on the donations and "goodwill" of persons or individuals or groups or organizations that they may have never met. Some politicians are a bit more diligent than others. Others just take... and take.... and take.
  5. What a surprise....NOT!! This has been going on , not just with the Chinese, but with any country, group, organization or company for ever.
  6. I had never even heard the word "rappporteur" before let alone what they do. I guess he will "report" something LOL The thing is though, this whole thing is in the past. Nothing will or can be done about it. Our system of elections is that candidates live and campaign using donations. Where they come from can so easily be hidden or disguised, nothing will ever change as all parties and candidates will lose.
  7. I served Canada in full faith and respect Oath to the monarchy is totally meaningless to me. (BTW, when sworn in to public service or RCMP or parliament, you no longer have to swear to the crown) Canada exists, the crown is a financial burden and a bygone regime, no more no less. They cannot even get along with each other, why would we consider them worth anything LOL
  8. Chuckle Dougie....don't fall over while back peddling LOL So many posts with so much gibberish. Keep on keeping gibberish LOL
  9. Neither do you Dougie LOL What I said was they all fight for and defend Canada. We all know you doubt everything that doesn't have a royal taint LOL
  10. I said "and other Military branch members fought and stood for Canada. " Too bad about your reading reading comprehension problem.
  11. Yaaaaawn ? HM Ceremonial monarchy. Real soldiers and other Military branch members fought and stood for Canada.
  12. I was and am loyal to Canada. I do not recognize the crown or britain as anything but ceremonial. I fully believe that almost every Canadian military person believes the same.
  13. I do not consider you a Canadian veteran as "you have repeatedly claimed you did nothing for Canada but a British whatever, loyal someone in england " By your own words....
  14. No, not all, just a few. And besides, you have repeatedly claimed you did nothing for Canada but a British whatever, loyal someone in england
  15. Elections being influenced by (fill in the blank) is as old as elections themselves. Parties and candidates being bought or influenced by every donation and business or persons wanting something in return is normal. Why is China being singled out? I am quite sure the US has influenced our elections far more than the Chinese. Other countries as well. Every candidate that is running is being influenced in one way or another by someone or some entity. As far as the Chinese are concerned, their influence in Canada is no ones fault but our own. All parties and governments in the pat 590 year has bowed to China to get their business and allowed them to buy Canada. I see our situation as a self inflicted wound.
  16. We are a country of freedoms. Model? Model of what? LOL Not sure how much authority you thought the Senate had but it has never been anything more than ceremonial. Laws are no more than rubber stamped. Yes, the senate do and did suggest changes now and again but, if adopted, they were more to appease the loyalty appointees within the senate. The Senate is nothing within our government, It is a parliamentary holdover with no authority, all show business and pomp and circumstance. The senate can do a lot of things but if the government of the day does not like what the senate says or asks so be it. Really, the senate has no actual power. To me, personally, the senate and all its ancillary costs are a waste of money and time.
  17. We have all the freedoms as any other country. The government can pass any law it puts forth, always has and always will. Do you or did you really think the Senate has anything to do with that?? What makes you think the Senate is anything more than show business? They are nothing more than political gifts for the faithful. A formality that really had no value or, as we all know now, zero influence.
  18. China??? It is the Americans that are making claims. As I said before, China will not say anything, they will not incriminate themselves.
  19. HA HA HA. You actually are blaming one person for destroying science LOL Because you don't agree?? Pretty full of yourself eh? LOL Who are "they"?
  20. Not when the "departments" all have different takes on things.
  21. Pick a fight with you? No, you are not worth the effort. In order for you to insult me, I must first value your opinion.
  22. Sorry, did not mean to question your superiority. I read your posts to me and others and believe you are belligerent as opposed to communicative. You are not worth reading anymore so, see ya. Oh and now, unprovoked insulting as well.
  23. Next time you reply, try doing it without belligerence. We all know where you come from now so, your comments become meaningless.
  24. I apologize for trying to have a discussion with you. You are right about everything. So smart, so knowledgeable, so worldly, so above me and others on this forum. I am humbled. Please do not wast your valuable time with me anymore, it is beneath you.
  25. Your humour seems to have difficulty translating to print. I never said war of convenience, that was one of your buddies. Financing a was is being at war.
