  1. Money pit? Less than 1.2% of GDP is a money pit? Gas Tax rebate and Grocery rebate and GST/HST rebate and other rebates is almost the same and has no real economic benefit compared to that with the European Union.
  2. You are assuming far too much. Foreign student are getting in because they pay....quadruple and often way more to attend. Period. "In 2022/2023, international undergraduate students will pay 429.0% more than Canadian students," from Stats Canada There is no English fluency requirement. Nor is there a housing requirement. There is complaints for sure (even by Canadian students) but abuse, misuse, lied to, Cheated??? Conjecture without evidence. Allow cheating?? Proof of that . Yes, there may be some foreign student cheaters but, there are Canadian student cheaters too. Bottom line, this is not a Canadian government issue, it is a university/college issue as they see easy money.
  3. I reckon Poilievre would and will say anything to get votes and then the reality hammer smacks him upside his head and he gets to know why NATO is important, not just as a military alliance but an economic alliance as well. Poilievre has to start speaking in real terms instead of just being a complainer. he needs credibility and so far he is only a whiner. I do not want to vote for Trudeau or his team but Poilievre has to make me want to vote for him.
  4. Nope, just saying his source is packaged media video from Reddit that had no comment.... a dubious source at best
  5. Proof of otherwise Huh??? Your proof is from a video from packaged media from Reddit?? You source of correct info?
  6. Actually, there was nothing wrong with the way he flipped the pancakes at all, the batter and whoever made it was bad. LOL
  7. Your jekyll and hyde personalities are causing you problems. Sorry for that. Makes it difficult to jump on your bandwagon. To topic, Justin can get better at flipping pancakes but I suspect cdnfux cannot get better, period
  8. Sorry, I try very hard to be civiI. I so do want to be on your side but you sure make it difficult. Take my comment for what it is intended as , not through a haze you may be in. Your obsession with my starting a post is getting very old. I do not need to start a post, others, like you, do it very well and very quickly and I participate. I do not need to post about pancake flipping or some other innocuous headline. Anyway, enjoy your verbal fracas with cdnfux, he picks em to get ya.
  9. Don't get me into your bun fight with the cdnfux. You bit at his BS and now you either have to swallow it or spit it out. In my opinion, any interaction with him/her/it by anyone will only result in his/her/it's insult tirade.
  10. "You people"? Who are you accusing of these things??
  11. Don't hurt your arm patting yourself on the back LOL We all have a crutch to bare.
  12. You are good at chastising others for getting personal and into bun fights and here you are..... getting personal and into a bun fight.
  13. Whoa, I was not telling, I was commiserating and understand your situation with the drink. No bone to pick with you. But understand, it takes 2 to tango and both participants should be noted.
  14. I post when I have something to say and I have. ...unless I run into an !diot and then I defend. I questioned, politely of a poster and it was over until unnecessary interjection by someone. It takes 2 to tango....you can address him too. As for your whiskey, please put it away. You said you would.
  15. Just like a puppy....it takes so little to get you to chase your tail. LOL Keep coming LOL woof woof LOL
  16. My response was to your statement "western powers do not have the metal capacity nor will to wage war over long periods of time". My point was and is that 13 and 20 years at war is "a long period of time" as you seem to agree with. As for pulling out in the middle of the night, I think the pull outs were talked about and quite anticipated. What meant by intense is that the US and Canada et al were not anticipating the determination of the enemy. That they would keep fighting even though things were so against them and as you say "As for fighting an enemy that was determined, more than willing give their lives for an certain outcome sure".
  17. Yup OK ? Offer your opinion to those who care.... there may be one or two but not me LOL
  18. And yet, the indigenous are cheering for the change.
  19. Absurd? It is all over the news. I linked the governments announcement. I could not care less about electric cars or their range or cost, and that is not what my post was about. I said Ontario is at the edge of it's production. there could be brownouts and outages because of the demand. Proposing we buy more electric vehicles and build more housing is straining the system even more and may not handle it. https://thenarwhal.ca/ontario-electricity-grid/ https://www.thestar.com/politics/provincial/2023/06/05/if-the-hot-weather-keeps-up-ontario-is-at-risk-of-power-shortages-this-summer-report-finds.html
  20. Not sure what you mean by "wage war over long periods of time"? Canada was there for 13 years and the US was there for 20 years. What western powers were not able to confront was how intense and what a Holy War was.
  21. Oh, AI is Universal Basic Income. Never run into that acronym used for that. I am an old guy so, it is welfare to me. Absolutely, when free money is offered, people will take it.
