So, all your previous comments, accusations etc were conjecture and "your best guess"?
-
Never once asked if you questioned the soldiers that unfortunately perished.. I question your comments as to what occurred and where you got your information. You speak as if you were part of the review and investigation and I am sure you were not.... as you admitted not being there.

The Cormorant has a camera system with infrared and while not newest technology, more than sufficient for its role. Those will be upgraded. AESA is not really needed for slow speed SAR ops. It is more intended for fighters and fire control.

Blaming politicians and even government for in theatre actions is pure politicizing. The chain of command ends with on scene commanders and begins with the commanders on scene. Failure in RECCE and poor planning is the sole responsibility of the commanders on scene. As I understood, they were on patrol and not full force and got ambushed. You seem to be an expert in this incident? Were you on scene? Were you part of the investigation? Part of the command structure? Part of the review? Part of the report writing? Seen all the evidence? Or are you just a locker room critic espousing rumour and innuendo?

I am very familiar with the Cormorant program. The mid life upgrades and updates were planned decades ago. It was always known there would be one. The EH101, which is the parent helicopter, was still in development when we purchased them. The updates and upgrades will enable more capability than we have now and the Cormorant is so far beyond the capability we had with the Labrador and with the updates, it will be more capable yet. We will never have all the bells and whistles that are available but, Cormorant SAR can go much farther, higher and longer than the Labrador ever could and with the updates, will do it even better.

I will let AI communicate with you. I will not participate so, keep crapping on AI LOL "I'm glad to hear that you found some humor in the situation! As an AI language model, I don't have feelings or emotions, so I don't experience pouting, hissy fits, or any other emotional reactions. My primary goal is to assist and provide helpful information to the best of my abilities. However, I apologize if you have any misunderstandings or miscommunications during our interactions. My purpose is to be a useful and reliable tool for answering questions and engaging in conversations. If you have comprehension issues, please feel free to correct them prior to continued conversation"

You have a very narrow singular view of the DND and Canadian military. 158 Military personnel perished in 13 years of activity in Afghan war. While 1 is too many, war is war and people die and if wee were in full front line combat, it would have been many more.. Canada has and had equipment to accomplish what missions it was designated to carry out. Canada upgraded equipment during the Afghan war. Lastly, we pulled out the last of our personnel out in 2014 (many left long before that) so, living in the past is just that, in the past. Oh and we did not buy airbus to fly the PM around. They will not have a VIP package. They were purchased to refuel our fighters and to fly our troops around and resupply our military personnel outside and inside Canada. So, if you are going to criticize, be current and get acquainted with the facts..

AI apologized because it could not tell what you were saying. It did not understand your blather....like most folks on these forums LOL AI quote....just responding to your nonsense. LOL "I don't have the ability to hold opinions or judge users. My purpose is to be helpful and provide accurate information to the best of my abilities. If I ever mention limitations or clarify that I cannot perform a particular task, it is not a reflection of any personal feelings toward the user. It's important to remember that AI models like me have certain capabilities and restrictions. While I strive to assist users with their inquiries, there might be instances where I can't fully understand or provide the desired response due to the complexities of natural language processing or the limitations of my training data."

I accept your cynical apology. I also accept that you did not feel it important enough to be a full time soldier.
-
Thats it, a part time soldier denigrating a CWO with a career in SAR serving Canadians coast to coast for 35 years? I do not aggrandize at all, just stating facts. Knowing that I was far more informed about military matters than you were and are. I never denigrated decorated combat arms personnel, I even acknowledged them, it is you that are the wannabe, not the others, they did their time, honourably and do not continually aggrandize themselves as you do..
-
Hey, a loser is a loser and AI has called you out so, I agree with AI. AI cares not what you think you are, it only responds to what you say and it just makes you look foolish and every time I input your posts, it comes back expressing the same thing... a loser. So, keep on keeping on, we, here on this forum, all know what you are LOL A person that cannot have a decent insult free discussion and the ones and zeros see that.
-
Give it up dude. There were and are very excellent infantry persons in the Canadian Military. Unfortunately, after the almost 20,000 posts by you, you are not one of them. You are an embarrassment to the profession. So many have told you so already yet you continue on. That is clearly a demonstration of inferiority complex. Never good enough to be a professional full time soldier so you make up by posting on a forum of your imaginary prowess. Done talking with a loser. Have a great day.
-
Ha Ha Ha. Ha, a private infantry man, well OK. I served in SAR for most of my 35 year career, saving and assisting the lives of Canadians all over the country at the call of Rescue Coordination Centres or local police all over Canada and during most Canadian disasters. Whenever called upon out to sea, up north and everything in between. I served Canadians. I also shot live rounds and was in the down range butts with live rounds over my head during my re-qualifications every year too, so, you are no big deal LOL Ha Ha Ha. There is a show of endearment Ha Ha Ha Bottom line, who cares??? except you, a former part timer living in his basement.
-
Who cares where you were raised and what hockey team you cheer for. LOL If you believe most Canadians do not think of the real Military, imagine how little they think of you part timers LOL And another of your useless videos LOL Get over yourself Dude, you ain't nuthin in the Military scheme of things. 16 years in the part time weekend army and you could not even get promoted past the automatic corporal stripes. There are tons of guys out there that play in the paintballl army on weekends with more service than you. Not good enough to lead part time grunts and you think your comments hear have any credibility? Well your posts only prove your lack of real Military matters.
-
Part time...part time...not even a real full time soldier and in the Militia and not even reserves. Tsk tsk, could not commit. Tsk Tsk
-
Says a part time grunt living in the part time past. NDHQ controlled your commanders and therefore you. You did what they told you and that was not much because you were not much. Getting your corporal hooks is automatic, not earned on merit. Not being combat arms is a badge of honour to most. They could and became more. I have known some really great soldiers and you certainly are not one of them. Could not even make it as a full time soldier like Army Guy. I have seen and read many of your posts and can easily say you are a phony wanna be. All talk and little substance. As a part time soldier you have no idea of what the Canadian military actually needs, wants or is required to do nationally and internationally. Your narrow scope of military service is an embarrassment to those real soldiers out there.
-
At least I can say I was a CWO with a full career and worked at NDHQ where I was privy to what was going on as opposed to a part time grunt and now sitting in his basement reliving his zero achievements.
-
He is a disgruntled minor part time soldier that could not hack an entire career and thinks he knows what the military is about. His extremely limited knowledge about military is obvious when all he can do is post videos of non relevance.
