I'm going on the assumption that a major news outlet is not just making stuff up. So when Carlson puts in a monologue, then proceeds throughout his hour show to have guests on to support his monologue, I assume that he's looked into things and his guests on his shows aren't just pulling stuff out of their asses. He has senators, legal commentary and everything else on his show to back up his monologue. You can choose to just ignore it, or not believe what he's saying. That's up to you.
