Do they not realize that relatively speaking, Caucasians commit way less violent crimes than do coloured people? I'm sure they do. As a matter of fact, I can give you a very good example of why water diversion should NOT be allowed. Currently the Klamath dams in Oregon are planned for demolition. They are because: 1. These dams have all but destroyed the salmon and trout in the river system. 2. California happens to need much more fresh water. In Canada, nobody can "own" the water. Thus there are many small lakes where a single family owns all the land around them, but if one flies a pontoon plane onto the lake, one can fish and stay all one likes. I happen to know a family in just that position. That asinine law in Oregon has caused all sorts of damage. It needs to be revoked.

Do you realize that Greenland is kept afloat financially with tax monies from Denmark? For the most part, Greenland is a drain on the Danish economy. Denmark has a military of roughly 16,000 personnel. Thus if the Russians or Chinese ever decided to take over Greenland, NATO would have to defend it. And while Denmark is a NATO member (an original member BTW), it is somewhat "foggy" with respect to Greenland. Would NATO come to its defence? Are they obliged to do so? So...what's the value of this frozen rock with few inhabitants, a weak economy and a very small military? 2 things: 1. Vast untapped natural resources (oil, gas, minerals). 2. It exists at the western mouth of the Northern Passage. So...can Denmark afford to mine the resources? Apparently not or they would have already. Can they control the Northern Passage? Hardly. By taking over control of Greenland, the USA can work with Canada to secure and control it. However, the USA and Canada currently do not have enough icebreakers to keep the passage clear for tankers and such. On the other hand, both Russia and China have been building icebreakers for this very reason for several years now. Russia also has a major military and navel presence in the north. That passage shortens trips from the west to the east and back by roughly 40% compared to the Panama Canal. Now...my simple minded little person...who would you rather have controlling that Northern Passage? Russia and China? Or the USA and Canada?

Explain this then: The state of Oregon owns the rain? Who can they put in jail when rain falls in Todd Lake?

For as much as this whole thing is childish and legally abhorrent, the sentencing allows Trump's lawyers to appeal and clear the conviction. In the meantime, the Libbies have engaged in a scorched Earth exercise that has created a lot of anger and disgust in them. Not only will the American public react negatively to the Democrats, but they have created a whole host of powerful enemies just waiting for the opportunity to deliver some retribution. I have a feeling the Democrats are going to experience a few years of exposure, embarrassment and a string of indictments. The beauty of it all is, Trump will only have to sit and enjoy the show.
