  1. SaskPower? How are they all screwed up?
  2. Agreed. This is not good policy by Carney, in my opinion. But, I’m not a conservative voter. Environmental issues are probably my biggest concern when I vote.
  3. I heard David Frum on YouTube (Hub Canada channel) talking about that as a strength of Canadian politics, not a weakness. Why not steal popular ideas from the opposition if Canadians want to see those policies implemented?
  4. Not ignored. We just disagree. That’s what elections are for; to see whose vision for the country gets to be implemented. Your favoured vision has been a losing one. My favoured vision has also been a losing one, since I never voted Liberal. Although, I think some of the legislation has been better than what the Conservatives would have passed, overall. Carney is way too conservative for me, but I vote on who I think will best represent my riding. Party politics don’t really matter to me as much as the candidate.
  5. What do you think PP should do to turn the tide and appeal to more of the electorate?
  6. Even the NP admits reality…. What do they say about a broken clock? Pierre Poilievre dismisses calls for 'pivot' as Liberals increase lead in polls https://nationalpost.com/news/politics/federal_election/pierre-poilievre-election-strategy-liberal-polls
  7. They closed it down! The migrants were shipped back to the USA. How is that a step in the right direction?
  8. Agreed. Damaging though? Probably not. Weren’t Conservatives against “cancel culture” and wanted people to be free to tell jokes even if they offend? Hmmm…. I guess I was mistaken about conservatives yet again. They actually do think there should be dire consequences for offending jokes!
  9. Conservatives used to love this label. Now they flipped and love that PP is a career politician since he was a little boy and hate Carney’s private sector experience and economic expertise. How did that happen?
  10. And that’s a success to you? 😂
  11. You think it has been a great success then? Where are they all? What happened to the grand plan to bring them there?
  12. Undocumented, or whomever the 30,000 were to be sent there.
  13. U.S. Has Spent $40 Million to Jail About 400 Migrants at Guantánamo What happened? Where are the migrants?
  14. Conservatives- hair on fire over gas price increases and carbon tax Also conservatives - it’s a routine price increase. Oil companies need the money!
  15. I put that duh-head on ignore. According to whom? 338Canada still has a 98% chance of a Lib victory, as of today’s polling.
  16. Did you look it up? 41.2% voted Trump. 47% in Minnesota voted Trump. Your fantasy Canada would be a disaster. Those places are both more conservative/Trumpy than Alberta would be.
  17. Oregon voted 40%+ for Trump. This idea (I get it’s a joke) would be the worst thing that could ever happen to Canada.
  18. Why should we trust your feelings about this?
  19. The CBC is ahead in the polls too. Why is Poilievre chasing such an unpopular policy? Is it to appease the base? Did anyone mention to him that he will need more than his base to win? Especially at a time when Canada’s sovereignty is under attack, it’s not good policy to abolish a Canadian institution. https://www.mediatechdemocracy.com/all-work/canadianinformationecosystem-edzep-gd874 The vast majority (78%) of Canadians would like to see the CBC/Radio-Canada continue if it addresses its major criticisms. Canadians are not aligned on what their major criticisms are of the CBC/Radio-Canada. We asked whether they agreed or disagreed with such criticisms as “it is irrelevant,” “it is too ‘woke,’” or it “doesn’t speak to me or my interests." When asked what they would do with CBC/Radio-Canada’s budget, 57% of respondents would either increase (24%) or maintain (33%) funding. Conservative supporters are the least aligned when it comes to funding, but more prefer to increase/maintain funding (47%) than reduce/eliminate (40%). When asked whether a large public service media organization like the CBC/Radio-Canada is still essential or relevant to Canadians in the digital age, given the rise of social media — 79% of respondents said it was either equally important or more important than before.
  20. No, they don’t take any money from Alberta. The people of Alberta pay more federal taxes because they make more in wages. A worker in BC or Newfoundland pays the same federal rate of tax as an Albertan.
  21. Did you know the US declared that they want to make Canada the 51st state? That seems to be a reasonable assessment.
  22. How well did Trudeau do in the debates prior to each of his election wins? I recall him being average to shitty.
