Who thinks we should acknowledge this “every single day”? Show an example of a land acknowledgement that states “we” don’t really belong here? Or do you think every land acknowledgement implies that? If so, there’s not much point in talking to you about the topic. Seems like conspiracy thinking. Where do you go that you see all these land acknowledgements on every holiday? Thats weird. Why is acknowledging what happened equal shame and guilt? Why do you think acknowledging Canada was settled by Europeans, reflecting on it and embracing facts of what happened to indigenous people is an exercise in shame and guilt? Well yeah. The CBC doesn’t do that nearly as much. But mainstream media is owned by very rich right wingers. So to say that they are an example of the “left wing media” overstating climate change is weird.

What makes you think that it doesn’t? The problem with the loudest of conservatives is that they think talking about things like climate change are a leftwing issue. They literally want the CBC to give equal time to conspiracy theories.

But at least your taxes are slightly lower, and rich people’s are significantly lower. NWS staff will have an impossible task to continue its current level of services. Some forecast offices will be so short-staffed that they may be forced to go to part-time services. Not only are there fewer forecasters, there are also fewer electronic technicians, who are responsible for maintaining the critical NEXRAD radars. Our worst nightmare is that weather forecast offices will be so understaffed that there will be needless loss of life.
