Why would me being a fisherman in NB make any difference to how wealth is calculated for a nation? 10 million Canadians rely on food banks? I call BS. Does the existence of tent cities mean we’re not one of the 30 richest nations on the planet? You don’t sound like the type to want to increase government spending. How do we compare to the rest of the G7? What country do you think is the wealthiest in the world?
-
We can assume you’re correct, and are not the dishonest interlocutor that your responses indicate. We’re the 30th wealthiest country on the planet. Where do you think the line is for wealth before a country should get foreign aid? If the wealth were distributed better in Canada, do you think we are wealthy enough that we could get rid of food banks? In other words, is there enough money in Canada to feed our poorest citizens?

Repeat it all you want. You’ll still be wrong. -
Why don’t they ever want to elect a government? I think PP is really happy to be in opposition.
-
Wouldn’t it make more sense that they aren’t mentioned because they didn’t exist?
-
Is everyone here with whom you disagree a troll?
-
As I predicted, PP found someone in a safe seat in Alberta to resign so he could run. https://www.ctvnews.ca/politics/article/conservative-mp-gives-up-seat-for-pierre-poilievre-to-run-in-byelection/

You’re right. That was a bad example. There was trade reaching to India at the time. Why would the bible include names of countries that didn’t exist yet?
-
Pointing out your hypocrisy is not trolling.
-
What’s more likely… that highly respected, longtime contributor and past Mod @Michael Hardner is a troll? Or that you are having trouble justifying your positions and are hiding behind ridiculous accusations?
-
So tell us…. why should indigenous people be overruled by a majority, but not Albertans?
-
So the majority can overrule indigenous people, but the majority in Canada can’t overrule Alberta? Sounds like you have a hypocrisy problem.

Are you drunk or high, or somehow impaired? You said the Constitution has clauses that could be used for a province to separate. I showed how that was completely ignorant. Now you’re saying I said something else when I quoted the Clarity Act on how it has to happen. Go back and read the posts when you sober up. -

No. I quoted the Clarity Act on how it could be done legally. 🤪 …an amendment to the Constitution of Canada would be required for any province to secede from Canada, which in turn would require negotiations involving at least the governments of all of the provinces and the Government of Canada. -
You don’t seem to be able to read.
-
No. Of course they don’t. There would need to be a constitutional amendment, and that would require both houses of government to agree and 7 of 10 provinces with 50% of the population to ratify. So the rest of Canada has the ultimate say. https://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/acts/C-31.8/section-3.html?txthl=terms#:~:text=3 (1) It is recognized, would require negotiations involving at 3 (1) It is recognized that there is no right under the Constitution of Canada to effect the secession of a province from Canada unilaterally and that, therefore, an amendment to the Constitution of Canada would be required for any province to secede from Canada, which in turn would require negotiations involving at least the governments of all of the provinces and the Government of Canada.

You and @blackbird need to go back to grade 10 Social Studies class. I can’t even believe Canadians could be this ignorant! Where did you get the idea that the Constitution allows for secession??? https://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/acts/C-31.8/section-3.html?txthl=terms#:~:text=3 (1) It is recognized, would require negotiations involving at 3 (1) It is recognized that there is no right under the Constitution of Canada to effect the secession of a province from Canada unilaterally and that, therefore, an amendment to the Constitution of Canada would be required for any province to secede from Canada, which in turn would require negotiations involving at least the governments of all of the provinces and the Government of Canada.
