Tolerance and humility are the keys to surviving the swamp unscathed. Add common sense and worldly experience to the mix and you have a recipe (the only recipe IMO) for successful coexistence. What's missing here is experience with bad things and the sure and certain knowledge of what you absolutely don't want. Essentially, this thread is about violence, where it comes from, what spawns it and what distills it into direct action... there are lessons here that have gone unlearned and it could easily be a hundred page thread. And BTW, that thread would never (logically) blame duck hunters from PEI (with semiautomatic Benelli shotguns) for being the cause of anything other than duck soup.

Good luck with that. Note the response above, one of the most obnoxious critters on the forum accuses others of the affliction they nourish daily with small, random drops of blood (like the one you will soon see below). I'm pretty sure that the Robo's, Flybabies, Herbs and Eyeholes here don't actually talk to people IRL the way they routinely do on an anonymous forum.... they'll probably say they do, but they don't. Statistically (and in the absence of alcohol), there's about .3 to .5% of the population that would slap them to the curb if they did... mostly out of a distorted sense of "duty to respond." The sort of "you made me do it" motive that's pretty common in bully circles. it's an interesting dynamic IMO because the physical aspect of it roughly parallels the passive motivation Flybaby has already admitted to.... in other words, "the Fox made me do it"; he tasked me, and but for that tasking I would stop. It's his fault that I do what I do and that I'm the way that I am. From what I've seen of the world, passive aggressive's outnumber legitimate hard cases by a significant amount. Anecdotally I've counted noses during a few access control gigs that I've worked and "notable" passive aggressive's work out to between 5-8% of any given group that I've observed in the wild... again, assuming the absence of alcohol. In truth, .3% is a small number to be sure (it represents the amount of people with a very high likelihood of responding violently)... but when you apply it to the total posting count these critters have amassed between them, you begin to see why I don't believe they actually do the same thing, to the same extent IRL. Statistically, It would be ill advised to do that to the same degree that prevails here (IMO of course). Passive aggressive people normally ply their trade in venues where they feel (mostly) protected from the consequences; abusing retail workers and wait staff comes immediately to mind... as does anonymous internet forums.

Why not invest 20 seconds in a google search before making foolish statements? Better yet, you could haul your butts to other parts of the world that you have lots of opinion (and attitude) about but little in the way of actual knowledge or experience with. There is little in the Koran about prohibitions / cautionary notes on dogs, they're mostly contained in Hadith references (like those below). There's more too but I see it as a waste of time even discussing such things, if you're interested do your own homework. I won't be defending this or rolling with you BTW, it's just that your arrogance and ignorance happened to strike a chord with me today and that's because of a recent discussion with an equally uninformed but opinionated acquaintance. - If a dog licks a container, you should wash it seven times. - Angels do not enter a house in which there are dogs... - Whoever keeps a dog, one Qirat of his good deeds will be deducted every day, except for a dog for farming or herding livestock." Here's an AI interpretation of those Hadith references above... - The statement about washing items licked by dogs underscores the idea that dogs are considered najis (impure). This has led to the understanding that keeping dogs inside the home may compromise the household's cleanliness, particularly in areas designated for prayer. The narration describing the deduction of good deeds for keeping dogs without a valid purpose (i.e., farming or herding) highlights a disincentive for keeping dogs as pets. This can be interpreted as an implicit prohibition on keeping them indoors without necessity. The hadith that mentions angels not entering homes with dogs implies a spiritual prohibition. This suggests that having dogs indoors could create an environment not conducive to spiritual practices, making it a discouraging factor for some Muslims. Here's a bit of perspective on the importance of the Hadith to Shari law: Hadith literature plays a vital role in the identity of Muslim communities. It is a means of preserving the teachings of the Prophet and fostering unity among Muslims by providing shared beliefs and practices. Hadiths are integral to the formation of Sharia (Islamic law). Many laws and ethical guidelines are derived from hadith literature, influencing personal behavior, social interactions, and community regulations.

In anticipation of the madness to follow I'll offer a final thought on the how of it. As with a host of other endeavours, from carpentry, flying wide body jets, operating heavy equipment, to commercial diving, parachuting, fur trapping and falconry... there is a process of vetting, training, experience, testing and certification. First year medical students don't do bypass surgeries, Air Cadets don't fly wide body jets on transatlantic routes in MNPS airspace, forklift drivers require certification at 5 year intervals, Class A drivers over 60 require a medical every year, airline pilots every 6 months (over 40) to keep a Cat 1 medical... and regardless of age, your job is on the line every 6 months with simulator training. There's also a physiological component here too, if you wear a dress and have a violent online presence it might just pose an employment issue for ya. Get my drift here Flybaby? It's not that hard to do this right...

Yes... a small snippet of logic that somehow managed to prevail in a sea of madness. If only the wind hadn't shifted. This particular thread got me thinking about my time in Kandahar (2009-2010). The total population there was somewhat transient and I'm not sure if anyone ever knew the total population at any given time. Most estimates (as I recall) were in excess of 20,000 on any given day though... but I honestly have no idea. The point is.... everyone was armed to the teeth and yet (with only two examples of abject stupidity not with standing) we didn't put on dresses and deliberately shoot each other with the malice of forethought. Is there any sort of lesson in that or are military people less crazy than the public at large even though they are actually drawn from the public at large? Guess I'll have to think about that a bit... Also, totally lost here are the perceived evils of a semi-automatic rifle with a 5 round magazine. The people treading that path have no idea what can be accomplished with a bolt action rifle and good quality scope in the hands of someone who knows how to use it... or for that matter, a 50lb bow and a quiver full of arrows during recess. Collectively, we need to drop the narratives, give this a bit more thought and connect some of the dots that transcend politics. But we won't... and the reason for that will soon become obvious in the posts below. ..

Almost a pointless as thoughtful, well researched statements like: I keep thinking that experience (especially bad experience) will help illuminate the path ahead. But the only thing it actually illuminates is why progressives are uniquely ill-equipped to connect dots in any sort of cause and effect equation that they don't have direct experience with. They mostly know a thing or two about cars though, so If I suggested that automobiles were the cause of impaired driving they would all laugh. Other than taking these critters to the range or an IPSC event (the safest place you could possibly be in Toronto on a Sunday) I'm at a loss.

It's not. Good Lord.... I'm wondering how to convince the people who deliberately come on here suggesting that it is. Would CAPs work? IT FUC%ING ISN"T... that help? The regulations already exist.... this was a hard three point fail: policing, seizure and storage. Start enforcing existing regulations and stop with the BS narrative that Maple MAGA types think crazy fuc#s who put on makeup and dresses before killing a bunch of kids should have access to guns. Do you seriously think that's true? I haven't looked into the physiology of this, but my take on it is that the gun is more for the post carnage suicide than it is for the carnage itself. If the goal is to kill a bunch of people there are better ways, cheaper ways, easier ways, more effective ways, less likely to get caught ways.... and the time to start addressing all this is now BECAUSE: When those "better ways" come to town I think all these discussions about gun control are going to seem like the good old days and you'll want to ban damn near everything... from pressure cookers to firecrackers, matches to household chemicals, fuel oil to fertilizer, batteries to alarm clocks. Want to talk about the proliferation of drones in the hands of raving fools? There's a thread for ya. If you want to start by banning white vans though I'm all in. If you don't think crazy people drive white vans get a motorcycle, drive it coast to coast; let us know how far you get before changing your mind.

Other than continuing down the trail until your political narrative aligns with the need to address underlying cause factors I have nothing for you... I'd suggest that it boils down to the lack of a willing partner though. On the off chance that your question is sincere, I'd urge you to consider how it could be that liberal progressives and the media at large aren't asking the sort of questions I (and many, many others) would ask if we had the platform to ask them? I'm not that smart (there's something you'll agree with right?), but it's not that difficult to conjure up a few coherent questions here. WHERE IS THE MEDIA (ya, I'm shouting)? As opposed to holding "feet to fire," asking tough questions and holding police and politicians to account, they play a supporting role by not demanding those answers in a very loud and very public voice. As more details come to light (and you have to dig for them), I think this will come to be seen as huge policing failure. Many of the questions I have about the NS shooting revolve around this as well. So.... maybe more defunding will help eh? That's not just a sarcastic question BTW... how do you expect the people who actually do want to discuss this rationally get past the stratospheric buffoonery that blocks their path? How do you discuss regulations with people who refuse to acquaint themselves with existing ones whilst simultaneously demanding more rules and less enforcement? How do you discuss a banned gun list with people who don't know the definition of assault rifle and think that's what AR stands for? This is why you don't get rational replies here and these ridiculous threads devolve into the sort of BS on display right here. Why would anyone with expertise in any discipline or any thread topic (whatsoever), bother taking the time to compose a thoughtful post for you to squat your a$$ over? Go do some homework.... And as you walk the trail maybe you could reflect on the two questions I always find myself asking... they used to only apply to security gigs but now (alas) they seem better suited to the current political climate of strong narrative, radical polarization and low information: 1. Before the situation turns to total shi$ - Do you really want what you seem to be asking for? 2. After the situation turns to total shi$ - WTF did you think was going to happen?

In addition to the comments above, I'd also note that according to the regulations you hold dear, want more of, and know nothing about.... they don't have access. It's part of the safe storage regulations... people who don't have (or have lost) a PAL (for what ever reason) are not permitted to have access keys, codes, or combinations for any firearms safely stored on the premises. Further more, a person with a PAL (meaning no RPAL) is restricted in the same manner and according to the same regulations, from direct access to any handguns that may be stored on the premises. Technically, these individuals are, or should be, no different than any other casual visitor to the premises (in terms of access). That's why I don't use anything in the form of keys other than for storage in transport. It's all biometrics and combination codes. There's actually some interesting case law on wives (with no PAL) knowing where the keys to her husband's storage locker are (when they clearly shouldn't have) that have resulted in charges.... this could be a whole thread BTW as it usually involves underhanded questioning techniques and warrantless searches on the part of police. Here's an update on the weapons: Two firearms, a long gun and a modified handgun, were recovered inside the school by the police, RCMP said. Neither weapon was registered to Van Rootselaar, who previously had a firearms license, but expired in 2024. https://www.foxnews.com/world/transgender-ex-student-identified-alleged-suspect-canada-school-mass-shooting-left-least-9-dead A big part of the problem here (IMO) is that you, Herb, and a few others aren't ready for solutions yet and it seems as if more pain is required before you are. You simply want to trade barbs with people on anonymous forums rather than seek solutions. As a result of that, the problems that are problems now will remain problems until you're ready to discuss underlying issues rationally and listen with your ears instead of your mouth. In the mean time, I got nothing else for ya... except more problems on the horizon that (I'm pretty sure) you haven't even thought about yet... they're in a file folder marked pending.

Looks SUSPICIOUSLY like A naked LINK to ME. Since YOU seem TO be MAKING a PHYCOLOGICAL assessment HERE, I'm WONDERING if YOU could SHOW us THE peer REVIEWED journal PUBLICATIONS detailing THE "scientific" METHODOLOGY (by which you arrived at your conclusion). Oooops. Forgot the LMAO part... there ya go.

And somehow they managed to bamboozle entire populations.... not into believing it (many didn't and still don't), but into actually doing it despite that. There was a conspicuous and palpable absence of political (and moral) courage when it was most needed. That's the part that utterly gob smacks me. Woke progressives should have been slammed into the mats on first contact.... and by their own political party. As this tsunami breaks and a light is shone on the evil they defended, the Herbs of the world will curl their little tails between their legs and disavow their own participation in. and defence of, one of the greatest evils ever systemically perpetrated against minor children. Initially, they'll argue that the numbers are small and the greater good prevailed regardless... then crickets. Hopefully the woke police find themselves wearing their own handcuffs but I don't think we'll see that happening. So... I'm willing to settle for the psychologists and surgeons who actually gave evil hands and a face... they should expect the handcuffs to be tighter than normal. https://www.foxnews.com/opinion/liz-peek-trans-fever-over-america-reckoning-damage-done The trans fever is over — and America is reckoning with the damage done

Armed with precedent, the floodgates will open now. The amount of harm done here is staggering, hopefully the downstream financial judgements break the bank. It's the only way to send an indelible message to the buffoons who championed this and the medical practitioners who preformed the surgeries. The "letter people" associations who are doxing and abusing these folks need to be held to account as well... no tap outs. From the article: Doctors tell parents all the time that without a sex change, their child is going to commit suicide. How can a parent argue with that? Absolute, palpable evil.... no forgiveness here, these critters need to be broken financially and professionally, no tap outs. Once this gathers momentum and the horror of individual case histories come to light, we won't be hearing word one, not even a single peep from the resident buffoons who defended this with inflamed rhetoric, name calling and insults. Here's an AI prediction based on the legal precedent... GO GET EM: The legal landscape may change significantly as advocates push for reassessments of standards for gender-affirming treatments, particularly for minors. The response from medical associations, like the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, has started to shift, recommending delaying such surgeries until patients are at least 19 years old due to concerns over their safety and effectiveness. These developments indicate a growing legal focus on the rights and welfare of individuals who regret gender-affirming procedures, leading to an increase in litigation against medical practitioners in this domain.

I think much more of this is coming. Well deserved too... they were warned: https://www.foxnews.com/media/detransitioner-warns-massive-wave-lawsuits-coming-after-landmark-2-million-verdict Before long even the Herbs and Roboturds of the world will grow silent. There will be some nastiness and name calling in the short term to be sure (watch below) but soon it will be like residential schools, interning the Japanese, and eugenics... not to many loudmouth fanboys taking bows over that anymore is there Herb?

Common Sense Voting Laws?
Venandi replied to Nationalist's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Listed below is an AI generated summary of occasions when US citizens are required to produce ID.... virtually a carbon copy of those in Canada BTW. - So, which ones would y'all like to see eliminated... and why, or is it just for voting? - If black people are incapable (or unable) to obtain government issued ID (which seems to be the concern here), are you OK with restricting their access to the other venues you think should be retained or, in the interest of consistency, should all requirements listed be withdrawn? 1. Voting Voter ID Laws: Some states require voters to present a form of ID at the polls. This can include a driver's license, state ID, or other approved identification. 2. Travel Domestic Flights: An ID is required for boarding commercial flights within the U.S. This typically includes a government-issued photo ID like a driver's license or passport. International Travel: A passport is necessary along with any required visas. 3. Banking Transactions Opening Accounts: Banks often require ID to open a new account. Large Transactions: Withdrawals or deposits above a certain amount may require identification. 4. Employment Verification Form I-9: When starting a new job, employees must provide ID to verify their identity and eligibility to work in the U.S. 5. Healthcare Services Medical Appointments: Some healthcare providers may ask for ID for registration and insurance verification. 6. Legal Agreements and Contracts Signing Documents: ID may be required when signing legal documents, leases, or financial agreements. 7. Purchasing Age-Restricted Items Alcohol and Tobacco: Government-issued ID is typically required to purchase cigarettes, alcohol, and other age-restricted products. 8. Law Enforcement Encounters Traffic Stops: Drivers must present their driver's license and vehicle registration during traffic stops. I think this was posted earlier but being as it's so utterly racist and factually ignorant it's worth posting again. I stand in awe of the snowflakes depicted here, they actually walk among us and some post right here on the forum. I'm heartened by the fact these creatures represent less than 30% of the adult population but fear they may breed. Any kids Robo? If they don't look like you maybe there's still hope to cling to. -
Common Sense Voting Laws?

Finding a master (in any discipline) is usually a challenge. I see you've capitalized your own particular area of expertise to make it easier for those so inclined to find you... there was no need though, your reputation proceeds you. -

Common Sense Voting Laws?

Do you even know what's going on in your own country? How is it that you can't even get the most basic concept of a drivers license right. How many times have you been warned about this? How many people d you have to kill? https://www.foxnews.com/politics/dot-crackdown-pulls-hundreds-english-illiterate-illegal-immigrant-truckers-off-roads-crashes-mount If you're going to issue CDLs to unqualified illegal aliens wanted for terrorism at least put their names on it.... or is that driver suppression? Is unmatched... -

Common Sense Voting Laws?

Tell me how any of the points mentioned suppress voting. Is Canada a fascist country that suppresses voting then? Do airlines limit black people's right to mobility because they have to present ID to travel? Seems like all ya got is weak sister girly responses...
