Is the mirror broken Herb? You couldn't even hold out for one post. How deep into the toxic sludge of your own posting history would I have to dig in order to find a single nugget of kindness or snippet of information worth the time it took to read? Same deal with this critter and I'll add Flybaby to the list as well. I'll wager that none of you talk to people IRL the way you do on an anonymous forum. I'll also wager that you're going to confidently assert that you do it all the time and routinely put people in their place at the local hardware store. Right? Have to say that I rarely (meaning virtually never) see that sort of thing in the absence of alcohol or anywhere other than the parking lot after closing time. The likely hood of finding three such brave souls on a single forum which has a handful of regular posters is beyond astronomical and would warrant the purchase of a lottery ticket... if I believed it for one second.

ICE Finally Fires Back!
Venandi replied to Nationalist's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
That's not what I was suggesting and the circumstances in this event don't even come close to meeting the parameters I'm talking about. The face coverings have become a necessity. I don't think anyone is suggesting that she didn't know who she was dealing with. Are they? -

You aren't paying attention. This is one of several reasons I don't like face coverings, throw in jeans, sneakers, a baggy t-shirt, coca Cola baseball hat, an ill fitting tactical vest and a rusty white van and there is serious potential for mistakes when dealing with capable individuals who would otherwise immediately comply with instructions from a uniformed officer. This is far from ideal, and I will tell you for the last time that I don't like face coverings and that I resent the fact that LEO have been driven to doing it out of necessity and for their own safety... that's why it's happening. That said I understand it and on balance approve of masking due to conditions set in motion by Democrats, progressives and an abundance of bloody nonsense from people like you. Get a grip. -

Progressives invented doxing; you're now going to live with the fallout and consequences... it's that simple. Act surprised if you wish, blame others if you must, it changes nothing unless next time around Democrats prove to be as eager for accountability and integrity as they have just recently become. We'll see. Had you previously spoken out against the sort of things you now rail against I might have a shred of sympathy for your position... it would be based on the sort of credibility and consistency I find completely lacking so that presents a bit of a problem for you. -
ICE Finally Fires Back!
Venandi replied to Nationalist's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Which runs both ways. There have been repeated warnings about likely (meaning easily predictable) outcomes, backlashes and responses in kind to no avail. Much of what you now rail against was as self inflicted as it was predictable... just like face coverings as a counter to malicious doxing. What did you think would happen? In the face of violent, coordinated and politically motivated attacks against LEO your words and sudden interest in integrity and accountability ring hollow... they only serve to convince people equally opposed to face coverings (that's people like me BTW) that it's a necessary evil designed to counter an even greater one. -

Venandi replied to Nationalist's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Stop the doxing then, if progressives would display the same integrity and decency they demand of others the face coverings wouldn't even be a thing now. You seem surprised... at the beginning of the doxing craze you were warned this would be the predictable result of terrorizing wives and harassing children. As a result I find your manufactured outrage breathtaking... for a group of people who labeled half of the country too stupid to vote in another thread your ability to anticipate outcomes strikes me as sadly lacking. There was no other likely outcome here. Is this the sort of bad behaviour on anonymous forums you referred to above? -
ICE Finally Fires Back!
Venandi replied to Nationalist's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
No, it's the reason. I don't like it either, in fact, I'd take my dislike of the practice one step further and say that I actually resent the fact that people like you made it necessary.... and now complain about it as if you had nothing to do with it becoming SOP. Were you seriously expecting a different counter to doxing? -
ICE Finally Fires Back!
Venandi replied to Nationalist's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Largely due to the disgusting (and cowardly) progressive penchant for doxing... but I think you already know that. There's no reluctance on the part of progressives to picketing agent homes, terrorizing their wives and harassing their children on the way to school. I don't like the face covering aspect of this either (for several reasons actually) but doxing is a powerful argument in its favour and why it's become SOP... rightly so I say. There's a certain irony here, progressives are complaining about the predictable reaction to a cowardly act that they invented, so.... don't snow the Snow Queen and feign shocked surprise." WTF did you think was going to happen?" -

ICE Finally Fires Back!
Venandi replied to Nationalist's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Agreed... I didn't mention it previously because the polarization here is already over the top, but I blame the people inciting these actions and encouraging direct (and provocative) interference by folks who are clearly out of their their element and way beyond their depth. I suspect she was a kind lady who simply got caught up in something that was over her head, I doubt she even recognized that her situation had suddenly shifted to one that demanded caution and compliance. Most of all It saddens me to think that the last thing she (probably) heard was "drive baby drive." There's a stark lesson in this but I fear the people who need it most are the ones least likely to heed it. This is also an objective lesson in reality for keyboard warriors who watch too much TV... things can go badly wrong in a heart beat. When stakes are high and time is short it increases the potential for them in direct proportion. You can call off a dog but not a bullet. I didn't look but there might be some "shoot / don't shoot" simulations on YOUTUBE that would prove instructive for some. If I see any I'll post one later... Cheers -

A day (or so) old but worth watching I think... Please take it for what it's worth though... I'm not ascribing political intent to a 3 second use of force event that occurred under the sort of pressure few will ever experience. This was tragic for all concerned because given the wheel deflection between the time of the draw and the first shot I don't believe she was actually trying to hit him (even though she clearly did). I can't imagine that this will be judged as anything other than justifiable, that said, breaking the video into still photos (over a 3 second period) and ascribing political intent to them seems grossly unfair... and a properly functioning legal assessment won't be doing that. -
LOL, carrot farts from the brave little bunny watching John Wick on NETFIX...

You told me eh? You have no bloody idea "what they likely said" and I bet there's a good reason "they probably don't want to give that info out." Are you defending the notion that someone should have to file an ATIP to obtain the most basic piece of information about a publicly funded trial (announced with great fanfare) as the precursor to a billion dollar national confiscation effort? Put another way, do you think there wouldn't be a huge announcement if they had recovered 1500 AR15s? We would be choking on the pictures right now and you know it. But after 6 weeks there were only 25 rifles recovered, that's five bundles of five, all of them would fit in a smart car and we hear nothing but crickets. If we are going to embark on a major effort like this this shouldn't the press be asking the most basic of questions on our behalf... the sort of questions that any sensible person would ask if they had the platform to ask them? It's the only question of merit in the entire exercise and that was the sole point of doing it. It reminds me of the climate change boondoggle... any child with a hand held calculator could see that the math wasn't working, as a result they had questions that went unanswered and liberal voters actually defended the lack of transparency. Did we learn nothing? Maybe the better question is do you want to pay to do it all over again? I don't and I say that as someone with no banned rifles and no dog in the fight. I simply want to stop spending vast sums on liberal SFIs.
-
FFS... 6 weeks, 25 rifles out of 200,000 and the most basic piece of fuc%$#@ information isn't even available? Who do you think you're fooling?
-
Come on... Isn't that what the entire bloody exercise was about? Isn't it the most basic of questions? Isn't that exactly what a grade 6 student would ask if a grade 6 student had the platform to ask the damn question? Why should an ATIP be required to get the answer to a grade 6 question?

Morel blathering about security clearances from someone who knows full well what being read into the foreign interference file entails. Getting this out of AI was like pulling teeth (or talking to Herb)... after much ado it finally relented and admitted the following. Must have been a liberal that programmed this bitc%... I need a drink now: If Poilievre had received full briefings on the foreign interference file, it would have significantly restricted his ability to speak freely, particularly if the information contained sensitive or classified details. In such cases, individuals with security clearance are often bound by non-disclosure agreements, which prevent them from sharing specific information or even acknowledging its existence in public discourse. This confidentiality can be seen as a form of "muzzling," where the individual is limited in their capacity to engage in political dialogue on certain topics. His choice not to pursue the clearance allows him to maintain a more outspoken stance on the issue, even if it means potentially lacking complete knowledge of the situation.
-
I saw that one... not a revelation. The issue here (as noted above), and what I was actually searching for (the point of the entire very expensive exercise BTW) is the models that were actually collected vs the 2500 rifles on the banned list. If you have a link for that I would very happy to read it... I had no luck finding it. My guess is that it was a dumping ground for clapped out relics people were happy to dump... something akin to an amnesty.

At what point do Liberals become embarrassed by this? Since this thread is about predictions, I'll predict that they will continue to defend this program and will stay the course to Crazy Island." This effort took place over a 6 week period, the target was to collect 200 guns (which is roughly 10% of the estimated total in the target area)... they got 25. Apparently it cost about $23,000 in administration and advertising, $40,000 in wages and an undisclosed buyback fee per qualifying rifle. Does anyone actually believe those numbers (especially the wages over a 6 week period)? I don't. There is no list of the actual models collected that I could find.... releasing that list was the easiest part of the entire effort and there was a reason they didn't do it. Makes you wonder where the press is. When I couldn't find anything I asked AI for a CBC report on the results of this effort, here's the reply: It seems I'm unable to retrieve specific reports from the CBC regarding the Cape Breton pilot program for the gun buyback initiative at this time.

I don't like second guessing split second decisions (with a beer in hand) and having the benefit of frame by frame still views of FMV to do it. And I especially don't like the way the analysis of this event has broken down along political lines, probably because I didn't expect it. Otherwise though, I tend to agree with you. The draw began in the first 20% of forward tire rotation as the front wheel was being turned, note the wheel deflection (to the right) and position of the shooter as the first round is fired through the side window. I don't believe she was trying to hit him. I didn't look up the video until after I read about the encounter and saw the statement below... based on the description and statement, the video wasn't what I expected to see. ...rioters began blocking ICE officers and one of these violent rioters weaponized her vehicle, attempting to run over our law enforcement officers in an attempt to kill them — an act of domestic terrorism,” DHS assistant secretary for public affairs Tricia McLaughlin said in a statement. Agreed... that's how I think it will play out too, and I would agree with the outcome should it come to pass. This was tragic, there are no winners here. -
By and large neither are the thugs in Toronto... automatic weapons were banned in 1978. Toronto has a huge problem with handguns illegally imported from the US... not to mention over capacity magazines, drug fuelled gang wars, gang initiation events and pi$$ weak legal consequences for criminals. Anytime a legal gun and licensed owner are involved in a shooting (statistically a rare thing BTW) it's big news... all information is released immediately. That's usually not the case with the criminal use of illegal guns by unlicensed, prohibited, and out on bail (for previous gun offences) perpetrators... I still have questions about the Danforth and NS shootings. Herb won't believe it but Dunning Kruger comes down to knowledge and experience in specific applications rather than overall intelligence... most of the diversions here are tactical, they're deliberate and statistics are deliberately manipulated by smart people engaged in a coordinated I/O effort. Even so, selling the buy back program as a reasonable and measured event would challenge a Fuller Brush Salesman. The Cape Breton trial netted 25 rifles and my guess is that a number of those came from LEO hobbyists who used them for job related proficiency training. An abysmal performance that qualifies for a hard "F" grade... liberals will claim victory and continue anyway. Even the costs were skewed IMO... it was published as about $23,000 for administration and $40,000 in wages (I couldn't find the actual buyback costs). My guess is that it was more than double that.

Much more of this stuff from people on parole for previous firearm offences and under a lifetime possession ban. https://torontosun.com/news/local-news/man-parole-accused-fatal-shooting-student-scarborough-campus Here's another prediction: there's no end in sight, this will continue until liberal voters get as tired of it as I am and come to realize the problem isn't duck hunters from PEI. Bring back grade 9 pattern recognition and predictive analysis: https://www.tps.ca/organizational-chart/specialized-operations-command/detective-operations/investigative-services/homicide/most-wanted/ Ask me again next year, the answer will be the same, just like it was the year previous. Downvote that Flybaby...

The Left's Violent Nature Reimurges
Venandi replied to gatomontes99's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
I fear more of this is on the way, it's cheap, easy, and the results of a successful detonation in a crowded venue are absolutely horrific... throw in drone deployment and easy gets easier still. Time spent arguing about the second amendment and enhanced gun control is simply time wasted. We have already seen event cancellations because (IMO and reading between the lines) deployable countermeasures are running behind an emerging threat that represents a (potential) tipping point which will render screams about gun control moot. Herb, Flybaby and Roboduh will make a lot of noise but they will always and forever be one step behind the emerging threats.- 73 replies

You once referred to naked links (like the OP) as being stupidly gratuitous too. You're evolving here... it's in the wrong direction though.
