CBC is Revolting Garbage and Needs to GO
Aristides replied to WestCanMan's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
I watched a CBC segment on that and they went into it extensively. They asked all those questions, it wasn't a puff piece at all and it didn't reflect well on Carney. Did you actually watch it or are you just parroting what your RW sources tell you. -
Peace Arch is the busiest border crossing in BC. February crossings were down over 30% from last year, almost all of them Canadians. US border towns are worried.

Canada-US trade: Another day, more lies from Trump
Aristides replied to Radiorum's topic in Canada / United States Relations
I don’t think people who correct him stay employed very long and a lot of this stuff comes from his underlings like Miller. -

Yes it is but Trump and the truth have never met. -
Liberal Party Takes Lead in Polls
Aristides replied to TreeBeard's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
It's a funny old world. If the Dems had won or even if Trump had kept his big mouth shut, the Conservatives would probably be coasting to a majority. Instead, the dumb fvck threatens Canada and gives the Liberals the biggest gift they have ever had. In my life, I have never seen a party's fortunes change so fast. I'm starting to believe the m0ron actually believes a majority of Canadians want to be Americans. -
Liberal Party Takes Lead in Polls

I’m starting to think dumb ass Trump could hand our next election to the Liberals. Wonder what PP is thinking about that. -

The Liberals will get a bump because they are the only story in town at the moment but it is making the upcoming election far more interesting. -

2% Defense GDP by 2030
Aristides replied to NAME REMOVED's topic in Canada / United States Relations
If you are aware of that, you know they didn't join because of Biden although he probably said the US would have no objection and why would it. Regime change in Russia could be a good thing but the idea that Biden thought he could do it is pretty far fetched. -

Sweden didn't give up 200 years of neutrality because of Biden. They actually reinstated conscription a few years ago. Because of Russia. Finland shares its longest border with Russia and it managing that has been their priority since WW2. They joined because they see Russia as the biggest threat to them, not because of Biden. Even though they are only about 5 million people, they have one of the strongest militaries in Europe. Because of Russia. -

Trump says he wants Keystone built right now but he doesn't need our oil. You can't make this shit up. -

The only thing the Finns have bought from the US is F-35's. They and the Swedes build their own ships and subs. Sweden builds most of its own aircraft (including fighters) they have half a dozen C-130's and a few Gulfstreams for VIP use. They build their own armoured vehicles. Finns do the same for theirs and their MBT's are German Leopards. -

Carney's spending plan would put even Trudeau to shame
Aristides replied to Army Guy's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
I would be fine with separating operating from capital spending on one condition. That there was a schedule to pay each capital project off. Something that no government from either party has done for many decades. -
Your posts could be a lot shorter if you quit making shit up. I have never said that he should lose his citizenship, I merely pointed to a petition that is asking for it. Apparently that upsets you. I have also rightly pointed out that he just used his Canadian citizenship as a tool to get into the US even though that is not grounds to revoke it either. Apparently that upsets you as well. Rather than addressing the petition, you just want to pick a fight. As usual.

His wasn't born with citizenship even though he was entitled through his mother. He did have to apply. I could qualify for British citizenship through my mother but I would have to apply. I've already said more than once that I don't expect him to lose his citizenship. I even doubt it can be revoked. Read much?
