UHC is the worst civil rights violation in history

I don't think many Canadians would dispute that our system has come under stress lately but you will look hard to find any that would want to get rid of it. They want it fixed, not abolished. Yes BC has been sending some people to the US for cancer treatments but the important thing is the government is picking up the bill, not the patient. -

If you say so but the fact remains, health care is a provincial jurisdiction and some things vary from province to province. -
Again, I'm not asserting anything. Judges are saying some of Trumps actions are unconstitutional. How would I know? If you believe in your constitution and rule of law you should be concerned if they turn out to be correct. He is ruling by executive order without reference to Congress and using bogus emergency excuses to do it. What other limits are there? Don't you know how your own system is supposed to work? You want him to be able to either ignore court orders or purge the judges making them.

Looks like Nova Scotia has a problem Looks like Nova Scotia has a problem. One thing many Americans don't understand is that even though we have universal health care through federal legislation and the feds do provide some funding, it is a provincial responsibility to provide it. -
I'm not asserting anything, your courts are. You have a system, if you think a ruling is wrong, you appeal it to a higher court. You either believe in it or not. You want him to give him unlimited power. He is already ignoring congress, the last limit on his power are the courts and you want to get rid of that.

For some things like joints yes but for potentially terminal ailments like cancer they do very well. -

Bullshit. Three years I took my wife to emergency because she was having memory and mobility problems. A CT scan that night showed something in her brain. She was kept overnight and the next morning transported to a neurological unit in another hospital where an MRI confirmed a tumour. She was operated on the next week to remove the tumour. Unfortunately they couldn't remove it all because of the location and it turned out to be glioblastoma which is terminal. This was in the middle of COVID when hospitals were already maxed out. But hey, you saw it on X so it must be true. -

No, that's what you mean. The executive, congress and supreme court are all equal. The checks and balances you Yanks like to brag about. You don't believe in that at all, you want all the power in the hands of the executive. The chief justice just told Trump that going after lower courts is not on, you follow the process like every other president in history.

The first 16 are scheduled to be delivered before Trump is gone. We don't know if Trump will be gone, I expect him to try and stay. Even if Trump is gone by then, can we trust Americans not to elect another Trump. If we do decide to add a second fighter I'm not qualified to determine which is the better choice. I think it would be a good idea for us to get involved in one of the European 6 Gen projects. Hopefully we would have something useful to contribute other than just money.
