  1. Right, it's progressives who are responsible for the 400 million guns Americans own. It's progressives who are preventing a vote on Bill HR8 in the Senate. ?
  2. You don't want change, so why bother. You won't even discuss proper background checks before people can buy a firearm.
  3. Go ahead and "protect" yourself but you are just protecting yourself from yourself because you are prepared to change nothing.
  4. Not my problem. I guess you will have to live with the body count as you are prepared to do nothing other than add more guns to the 400 million already owned by Americans. More dead kids in the name of freedum. You won't even support real background checks that actually vet people.
  5. The only reason Americans feel the need to carry a firearm is because they are afraid of the world around them. Every post you make just confirms that. Sorry, but I don't want to live in a world like that, no sane person does. Americans are welcome to it.
  6. So what, it's still fear that makes people think they need to carry a firearm.
  7. So where and how did the people your so called good guys shot get their guns? It must be terrible to be so afraid of the world around you that you feel the need to carry a firearm.
  8. Happily living and working in your bunkers thinking they make you free.
  9. And you will pretend they don’t exist. Pathetic.
  10. That's pretty dam dumb, who do you think started the two world wars? One of the reasons for the EU was to never have a repeat. They haven't. How about the Franco Prussian War. The Prussia Austria war, Napoleonic wars, the Seven Years war? The list of former wars between members is almost endless. This is the longest period of peace in European history.
  11. Yes, the SCC ruled the government violated his rights, that has nothing to do with our criminal justice system. If you are a victim of a crime, you cannot sue Crown because they didn't lay charges or you didn't agree with the charges they did lay, nor can you sue a court because of a judges decision, you can only sue the person who hurt you..
  12. No they don't. There is nothing in our criminal justice system that accords rights to victims. Khadr sued the government in a civil case.
  13. Sure we have to look at underlying conditions but you also need to admit, victims have no rights in our system.
  14. I really wonder what it must be like to be a kid in the US right now, wondering if someone is going to walk into their school and hunt them with a rifle. Knowing that adults they look to for protection, will do nothing to stop it because fighting their political and cultural wars are more important to them.
  15. I never said you wanted dead children, I say, you don't care about dead children. If it means having to work with someone who doesn't have your political views, those children are expendable.
  16. I'm not talking about registration, just checks that will keep them from buying a gun in the first place. The US has 40% of the worlds privately owned firearms. They will never have enough to fix anything, only make things worse.
  17. Why does this have to about progressives and conservatives. It is pretty clear our legal system is no longer capable of getting out of its own way. We have people with over 80 convictions that have never seen a day in jail. How long should their victims have to put up with this? Why do we have laws in the first place if they don't mean anything? We are increasingly becoming a society where our actions are dictated by what we believe other people think.
  18. Wow. You really are happy with the status quo. Want to start a pool on the date of the next school massacre? You know its coming. BTW. I posted the loopholes. Page 19, second post.
  19. Well, it won't be you taking the high road. Bill HR8 to fill in the loopholes in the federal background checks was passed by the House a year ago. 3 Republicans were among the sponsors and 8 voted for it. The 50 Republican members of the Senate won't even let it come to a vote.
  20. As I said, those dead kids sure are an inconvenience.
  21. Is it possible for anyone to take the high road, does anyone still know what that means? Or is this just going to be a fight to the death? It's time people started seriously asking themselves that question.
  22. I'll tell you why, all you are concerned about is partisan politics and your culture war, dead kids just inconveniently get in the way.
  23. How do you keep weapons outside the city limits, or even state boundaries? Even someone as dim as you should be able to ask that question.
  24. What exactly is your objection to proper background checks and something like a 10 day waiting period? Why do you want crazies to be able to legally buy guns? What kind of propaganda do you watch that makes indiscriminate killing of kids something you will tolerate by doing nothing?
  25. Cruz is the one playing politics. The man has zero ethics. As long as people like him keep getting elected, the body count will just continue to rise. Children aren't dying because of views, they are dying because of what people like Cruz refuse to do.
