I.V.F. and the Liar-in-Chief
Aristides replied to Rebound's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Several states have outlawed abortions on any terms, others have put time restrictions on them that make them just about impossible including outlawing the morning after pill. Some will prosecute doctors who performs them or anyone who assists a woman to get to a place where an abortion can be done legally. Late term abortions are almost non existent unless a woman's life is in danger. Doctors just won't do them regardless if they are legal or not. In Canada where there are no laws regarding abortions doctors won't do them after 24 weeks. This is from the NP, a right wing newspaper https://nationalpost.com/opinion/letters/todays-letters-late-trimester-abortions-are-not-happening-in-canada-without-a-reason I doubt any woman who really wants an abortion is going to wait anywhere near 24 weeks to get one. -

Bullshit, you don’t have to approve of someone’s choice, just their right to choose. You are forcing a woman to carry a baby to term regardless of the circumstances . You are about taking rights away just to justify your own predjudices. -

In my job I had to do extensive physicals every six months that included blood work, drug testing, cardiograms and chest X Rays. I wasn't forced to do it but If didn't like it I could find another line of work. Life is full of consequences. -

No one was forced to get covid shots. You are the one who wants to force your views on people. You would force a 14 year old girl who had been raped to carry a fetus to term while denying a couple the right to have their own eggs and sperm fertilized outside the uterus then inserted back into the woman's uterus to carry out a normal pregnancy. That's insane. -

WTF is it you don't understand about freedom of choice? Pro choice isn't pro abortion, it's about the freedom to choose. Personally I'm not big on abortion but I'm not about to impose my choices on others. IVF should be a choice. -
Goodbye, Tampa Bay...

What a f*cked up country. Who the hell would want to go into disaster relief when they know someone will put them in danger just to play politics. -

And Kamala goes into the belly of the beast, FOX. So much for her avoiding interviews. -
It isn't vague at all " war" by "any means necessary" “terrorize this place” “we’re gonna terrorize you so good, your business is gonna be over mama.” How is that vague and do you think threatening people with physical violence should be legal? As you said, I hope you die isn't the same as I'm going to kill you. This isn't hoping something happens, it's threatening to do it. Do you honestly think she would tell them exactly how she was going to carry out these threats? I'm going to buy an AR and shoot this place up, or I'm going to make a truck bomb and park it out front, or I'm going to come after your family. Do you think those threats should have just been brushed off and not taken seriously? She was convicted by a jury and sentenced by a judge.

She was specific, she threatened the building and the people in it. 'threatened to “terrorize this place” and warned that “we’re gonna terrorize you so good, your business is gonna be over mama.” "Similarly, WILLIAMS stood within inches of a Health Center security officer and threatened “war.” WILLIAMS also stated that she would act by “any means necessary.” Timothy McVeigh, Terry Nichols.

Bullshit, unless you are talking about the sacking of Constantinople by the 4th crusade, 250 years before its fall to the Ottomans. The first crusades were against Arab expansion, not Turks. You do know the difference? As far as Hitler uniting the German people goes, Austria didn’t ask to be united. Chamberlain gifted the Sudetenland on a promise of “peace in our time” which Hitler promptly tore up and gobbled up the rest of Czechoslovakia (not German) He then used Danzig as an excuse while he staged a “Polish” raid on a radio station and used that as an excuse to launch a huge invasion of the whole country while colluding with Stalin to gobble up eastern Poland. Britain and France declared war because they had guaranteed Polish independence. BTW Gdańsk is still Polish and I haven’t heard Germans complaining.

Yes, Trump supporters should absolutely vote on January 5th. A town hall to answer supporters questions and all he did was sway to music for 40 minutes. No wonder people were walking out. -

When you look at two term presidents it is amazing how it ages them. Tough enough in your fifties and sixties let alone your late seventies and eighties. I could never figure why Biden wanted to run again. Ego I guess. -

How much would that save of the trillion dollar deficits you are running? Banks are already saying his policies will be inflationary. He will be like Churchill where they had to cover up a stroke during his last term. He was 79 at the time.
