The Americans don't check what is leaving the country, you don't stop at US customs when you are leaving the US. I don't know that any country you would want to visit does. Only one person is pushing tariffs.

It isn’t Canada’s job to check who and what enters the US but we should be doing a lot more to check who and what enters Canada. Doing so will protect ourselves and make us less of a transit point for contraband entering the US.

He will have to change the law to do that and I don't think you can remove a person's citizenship retroactively, certainly without cause. People should think carefully if they support this. If one US born person's citizenship can be revoked, any one's can. It will be interesting to see what the SCOTUS says if he tries.

You can't deport someone who entered legally unless they overstay or violate their visa or commit a crime. Not even Trump is advocating deporting people who are in the US legally.
