Another Monster Attacks a School
Aristides replied to gatomontes99's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
You are trying to push responsibility for an armed response onto people who never signed up for it so you can change nothing. How do you think kids will feel when they see their teachers having to pack guns? -

Basically, that is what I said, put the responsibility for your children's safety on teachers and other school personnel so you can keep the status quo. What if teachers don't want to be armed, I doubt they picked it as a career because they wanted to be armed and take responsibility for taking on shooters. Why aren't they entitled to the same safety as the children? You want others to take responsibility so you can do nothing. As usual, your only solution to too many guns is more guns. With 20% more privately owned guns than people, it should be obvious by now that isn't working for you. -

So what exactly do you mean when it comes to not having schools gun free? -

So arm that 60 year old granny who is teaching your kids and make her responsible for their safety so you can maintain the status quo. My point stands. -

Run those proposals by me again because all I remember is you griping about schools being gun free zones. -

You want to ignore them to maintain the status quo. Arm teachers, put more guns in schools, just so nothing else has to change. -

Sure it is. Your country has more guns per capita than any country on earth yet you can't keep your kids safe in their schools. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Estimated_number_of_civilian_guns_per_capita_by_country -

You are from the country that just expresses fake outrage and makes up excuses. -

Maybe you should be asking why you need schools full of guns. I think that cartoon is spot on and obviously hit a sore point. -

Yup, it does hurt. Looking forward to Trump's massive increase in mental health spending. -
The biggest reason to get your kids vaccinated is to protect them from id*ots. I get vaccinated to protect myself from those who won't. One reason we have so many anti vax clowns is because their parents got them vaccinated so they never had to personally deal with these diseases. Their parents and grandparents did.

WTF are you talking about? -
Canada may have to as a last resort. Imposing an export tax on oil would drive gas prices in parts of the US through the roof and make some of their Gulf refineries unprofitable. 150,000 barrels of oil a day from the TransMountain pipeline goes to Washington state refineries, which would really affect gas supplies and prices on the US west coast. Cutting off electricity exports would be very problematic for the US because there is no way they can replace them except in the very long term. A last resort that we don't want to use but possibly necessary if Trump insists on playing hard ball.

The truth hurts I see. Your country is the only one watching its kids die while refusing to do anything about it. But no doubt we will see Trump spend billions to treat people with mental health issues to protect your kids so you don't have to change anything.🤣 -
It clearly states that the Charter of Rights remains in effect and it does not suspend habeas corpus. It must be passed by the House and Senate and an inquiry held and report tabled within a year. It is not martial law.

All countries have issues with mental health, only the US makes it easy for people with mental health issues to get guns. The US is the only first world country where mass shootings in their schools, churches and other public places are a normal occurrence.
