  1. I never said the pipes will melt, just the soldered joints that hold them together. I agree that residential fire suppression systems would have little or no effect in that type of firestorm.
  2. Funnily enough we have the same thing in Canada and it's called equalization. Albertans are always b*tching about it. Right wingers are always going on about high taxation levels in California. Maybe they wouldn't be so high if they weren't sending so much money to the rest of the country.
  3. The water boils off and it melts the solder that holds the pipes together.
  4. I don't see Canada cutting off energy supplies to the US. I do see the possibility of applying an export tax to make it more expensive for them. If Trump applies the tariffs to energy then it doesn't matter. Either way, American consumers will pay.
  5. True but in 2023 Canada was 8th in NATO defence spending, less than a billion lower than Poland and almost 10 billion more than Spain which was 9th.
  6. So stop starting them.
  7. Are you saying paying taxes should be voluntary?
  8. Calling people liars is CdnFox's go too.
  9. Things will be even better when they hold all the wealth and pay no taxes. That wasn't a question it was a statement and you made it, not me.
  10. Yes, everyone will be so much better off when all the wealth is held by the top 1% Like I said. Obtuse.
  11. Yes cause living on hand outs from the mega rich is the American way.
  12. No it hasn't, the ratio of human caused and lightening caused is about 50/50. As population increases and global warming causes more severe thunderstorm activity, fires caused by both will continue to increase.
  13. We have a free trade deal that he negotiated. Guess he must be a shitty negotiator. The reason you have such a big trade deficit is because of the amount of energy you buy from us. It is by far our largest export to the US. Are you telling us you don't need it? He doesn't need our dairy? Fine, because we import far more from the US than we export to the US so we can just transfer that quota to the EU, the UK and New Zealand. Who needs you.
  14. Jean Chretien's 91's birthday message
  15. The context was people were starving while the rich were living high. The gap between the rich and the rest of society is compounding. Are you really that thick or just being obtuse because you can't come up with anything else?
  16. Then why are you posting on this topic? The French and Russian revolutions were caused by massive inequities in wealth, Countries that look after all their people don't have revolutions.
  17. Poor people don't have the luxury of indulging in ideology, they are too busy dealing with being poor. I'd ask you the same question.
  18. Here's a number, actually more than one number. https://www.forbes.com/sites/tommybeer/2020/10/08/top-1-of-us-households-hold-15-times-more-wealth-than-bottom-50-combined/
  19. Historically, the major causes of revolutions have been due to huge disparities in wealth, not ideology.
  20. MAGA’s. If you want the Gulf of Mexico, don’t get sweaty about China claiming the South China Sea as territorial waters. There is no difference. BTW , how does it feel to go from leader of the free world to neighbourhood bully? How you have fallen.
  21. The worst shootings have taken place with long guns (Las Vegas) A person with no experience will be hard pressed to hit anything from 20 ft with a hand gun.
  22. Oh bullshit. That's like saying a person with no drivers license running into a crowd with a mini can do as much damage as one driving a truck. If hand guns were as powerful and accurate as long guns, there would be no need for long guns.
  23. Muzzle velocity and accuracy increases with barrel length.
