  1. Obama didn’t “collude” with Putin there was nothing secretive about diplomatic overtures and attempt at detente. Trump’s ties to Putin are personal and secretive, often contradictory to what he says in public. And AGAIN note that his people attempted to deny, attack and discredit the source of the story with their usual visceral childish insults before Trump basically admitting it was true. Not a single one of you Trump cultists can muster a word to say in response to that, can you?
  2. What childish logic. You like the Hitler of our time just to do the opposite of the libs. Gme a break You base that on what exactly? Otherwise than just trying to have the opposite beliefs of whatever a liberal says? What exactly is it you think a “real leader” for Ukraine should do? Surrender?
  3. He “joked” about Russia releasing Hilary’s emails right after his team secretly met with Russian delegates in Trump tower to discuss exactly that and the emails were dumped on Wikileaks right after trump’s “joke”. In other words it wasn’t a joke it was Trump being a loudmouth dumbass who can’t even keep his mouth shut about his own schemes.
  4. No, dumbass. Why are you such a dumbass. Pathetic. Republicans cannot get their story straight on Putin. One minute they deny liking him the next minute they’re defending him. Hes a fascist murderous dictator who invades other countries an annexes their territories FFS.
  5. So lets start with premise of the question since convictions are handled by judges and juries not the FBI, DOJ, Obama, the Clintons or whatever other conspiracy nonsense you subscribe to You’re implying that in the thousands of trials across the country the courts were all part of a vast left wing conspiracy
  6. With the MAGAtards on this forum you just always need to provide them fresh reminders of : - their cult leader’s affection for Putin amd authoritarians - how the Trump campaign always denies it whenever the TRUTH comes out with insults, ad/hominem attacks and hyperbole but when it comes to Putin their dipshit leader can’t help but admit to it
  7. Fake news, mor0n. Putin made a throwaway joke that Harris should be prez just for her “infectious laugh”. He was trolling her using a Republican insult that she has a an awful sounding laugh. Of course the MAGAtard sphere distorts that into more of their disinformation even as their beloved cult leader brags about his friendship with Putin.
  8. TL;Dr version While president, Trump sucked up to Putin by secretly sending him a covid test machine for his personal use even though the machines were in high demand in USA. . Then after leaving office Trump kept in touch with Putin, speaking to him on at least 7 different occasions and would have his staff leave the room when he did so. In typical MAGA fashion Trumps campaign first denied the claims with hyperbolic ad-hominem attacks against the source, award-winning reporter Bob Woodward, of Watergate fame. But then the Kremlin admitted it was true and now Trump is refusing to confirm or deny saying only “ if I dud it was a very smart thing” which obviously means it’s true after all. 9. Uh no. The right is the group that know or care what words mean and uses contradictory terms like fascist, corporatist and communist randomly and interchangeably The people behind it routinely say things like ”Education should reflect our Christian heritage” or that immigration should be determined by whether a person “accept[ed] Israel’s God, laws and understanding of history.”
  10. But then they’re the exact opposite when it comes to Democrats like all the mor0ns here who claimed with a straight face that saying trump should have pay for his security is exactly the same as calling for his assassination.
  11. Christian Nationalists isn’t the same thing as Christians you dummy. Christian nationalists are the project 2025 crowd who want the Christian religion officially enshrined as the state religion, superior to other religions and they want the nations laws and customs to be based on Christian religious teachings like mandatory Christian school prayer etc.
  12. Hilarious and what do you think republicans have been doing since time immemorial if jot vilifying. Republican vilification rhetoric as a standard political play all the way back to to the days of McCarthyism and the John Birch Society
  13. Liar. Your lie was just disproven by FACTS and your response is just to repeat the original lie and act as if the facts were never presented. Standard MAGA Operating Procedure.
  14. Yet more evidence of Trump’s sleazy grift: the “Swiss” watches he’s selling for up to $100k a piece are cheap poorly made crap under the name of a mystery company, whose supposed business address in Wyoming is a vacant strip mall office that’s also home to several other mystery companies, including where the one associated with his sleazy made in china golden sneakers amd one with a similar name selling “male enhancement honey”. Probably made in china like his other cheap sleazy crap. All the shady companies have the same “organizer”, a Wyoming law firm that brags “ we specialize in creating anonymous LLCs to shield your personal information from public eyes” Gosh sounds exactly like what a honourable Presidential candidate would get himself involved in doesnt it? While we know a lot of MAGAs are sexually insecure and/or inadequate men who definitely would buy “male enhancement honey,” I’m sure many of the suckers buying these trash watches thought they were getting something of value. The rest are probably criminals or Russians or Saudis trying to launder money into Trump’s campaign. Why a remote town in Wyoming? The state laws allow business owners to conceal their identity. Yeah that’s not suspicious at all! As for the “male enhancement honey”: “spokesperson for the honey seller, Vladimir Dmitriev..,” Oh Im sure yet another shady association with another shady Russian is 100% an isolated coincidence just like the dozens of other shady Russian associates Trump and his acolytes have.. “We’ve received direction from our leadership in the US not to engage with any news agencies (specifically CNN) until after November 5th,” which is Election Day.“ Gee I wonder why, Vladimir Trump’s “Swiss” Watches Traced to Derelict Wyoming Strip Mall CNN tracked Trump’s watch to a building in Sheridan, Wyoming—and found strange ties to a “male enhancement honey” company with a similar name. Last month, Donald Trump announced that he was selling limited-edition, gaudy watches ranging from $499 to the bargain price of $100,000, bragging about their Swiss-made precision. But a CNN investigation traced the watches’ origin to a shopping center in remote Sheridan, Wyoming, where TheBestWatchesOnEarth LLC, the company behind the timepieces, is based. There’s no indication that a watch company is located at the building listed at the address, only a daycare. Its neighbors include an H&R Block, a Wendy’s, and a “vape and hemp smoke shop.” CNN couldn’t find the people behind the company either, because the business’s location allows it to legally hide those details from the public. The news network found that knocking on the door of the business’s supposed address didn’t answer those questions. Interestingly, the limited liability corporation behind Trump’s infamous gold sneakers is also based at the address, along with other random businesses. The watch company was registered on July 29, only two months before Trump announced the watch line. A lobbying firm that represents Montenegro’s government is also based at the Wyoming address, along with a company, Kingdom Honey LLC, that sells “male enhancement honey” products that the Food and Drug Administration has warned against consuming. Curiously, that honey venture also goes by TheBestHoneyOnEarth on its online retail store. CNN could not find a direct connection between the honey venture and Trump, although it did reach a spokesperson for Kingdom Honey, who called it “a highly reputable company” but didn’t respond to a list of questions, none of which mentioned Trump. However, the spokesperson told CNN, “We’ve received direction from our leadership in the US not to engage with any news agencies (specifically CNN) until after November 5,” which happens to be Election Day. When CNN followed up by asking if the company had connections to the former president, the response from the company was that it “cannot provide any information or details at this time.” There was one link among the myriad companies based at the address, an “organizer” named Andrew Pierce, who has an office in Sheridan. When CNN contacted it, they were told he spends most of his time at the company’s headquarters in Puerto Rico. Pierce’s business partner, his father, Mark Pierce, did respond to CNN, and told them he had no idea that two of their clients were connected to Trump. The older Pierce, an attorney, also criticized the former president’s track record, telling the network, “If Mr. Trump or anyone in his family were on the same side of the street I was on, I would cross the street.” https://newrepublic.com/post/187289/trumps-swiss-watches-traced-derelict-wyoming-strip-mall?utm_source=flipboard&utm_content=topic%2Fliberal
  15. More of a blog than news but contains a few interesting nuggets about upgrades to Canadian Leopard 2A6 currently underway. If you follow the links to the German documentary, around the 29 minute mark there’s even footage of the Canadian Leos with the unmistakable maple leaf emblem being upgraded to the new standard in the KMW factory in Germany. Images at link What’s new in Canada’s upgraded Leopard 2A6MC2 Main Battle Tank? 16 Oct, 2024 - 8:57 Defense News Army 2024 As noted by Jeff2146 on October 15, 2024, the German television network ARD 1 recently aired footage believed to show the first public appearance of Canada’s Leopard 2A6M C2 tanks during a tour of Krauss-Maffei Wegmann (KMW) facilities. The Leopard 2A6M C2 CAN is an upgraded Canadian variant of the German Leopard 2A6 main battle tank, created by converting 20 Leopard 2A6M tanks under a $76 million contract with KMW. This overhaul includes upgrades to optics, fire control systems, and user interfaces, replacing outdated analog technology with modern components to improve their operational lifespan. (Picture source: ARD 1) In February 2023, Canadian Defence Minister Anita Anand stated that Canada plans to replace the Leopard 2 tanks sent to Ukraine, though specific timelines for these acquisitions have not been disclosed. Meanwhile, Canada is preparing to upgrade its remaining Leopard 2 tanks through a Leopard Long Term Support Contract (LTSC), which aims to keep the fleet operational until 2035. Department of National Defence spokesperson Jessica Lamirande explained that the LTSC will include maintenance, upgrades, supply chain management, and technical support. At that time, the contract was estimated between $730 million and $1.09 billion, or approximately $44 million to $64 million per year. Canada released an Advanced Contract Award Notice in August 2022, awarding KMW a sole-source position for the LTSC, with a formal contract published on September 13, 2024, valued at $710,732,013.98. The LTSC encompasses various Leopard 2 models within Canada’s military, including main battle tanks like the 2A4 CAN, 2A4M CAN, 2A6M CAN, and 2A6M C2 CAN, as well as Leopard 2 ARV CAN armored recovery vehicles, Leopard 2 AEV CAN engineering vehicles, and specialized equipment such as the Mine Clearing Roller System (MCRS), Track Width Mine Plow (TWMP), dozer blades, add-on armor, and slat armor. Canada is preparing to upgrade its remaining Leopard 2 tanks through a Leopard Long Term Support Contract (LTSC), which aims to keep the fleet operational until 2035. (Picture source: ARD 1) Maintenance responsibilities will involve systems integration, engineering, configuration and obsolescence management, depot-level inspections, and spare parts supply. The contract also specifies the provision of technical and field service representatives, who will provide in-depth support and guidance for the maintenance processes. Additionally, Canada awarded KMW a separate contract worth $76 million in June 2022 to repair, overhaul, and convert 20 Leopard 2A6M tanks to align with the 2A4M configuration. The modifications include updating optics, fire control systems, and user interfaces with more modern components, as the existing analog technology is considered obsolete. According to available information, the first conversion was completed and accepted by Canada in 2022, establishing a reference model for the rest of the fleet. Conversion work on the remaining 19 tanks began at FFG Canada’s Bathurst facility in spring 2023, with completion expected by the end of 2025. These upgraded tanks will be designated as Leopard 2A6M C2 CAN. The LTSC encompasses various Leopard 2 models within Canada’s military, including main battle tanks like the 2A4 CAN, 2A4M CAN, 2A6M CAN, and 2A6M C2 CAN, as well as Leopard 2 ARV CAN armored recovery vehicles and Leopard 2 AEV CAN engineering vehicles. (Picture source: ARD 1) As reported by Army Recognition in October 2023, modernization efforts for the Leopard 2 fleet are under consideration, with Army Lt. Col. Chloeann Summerfield indicating that further upgrades will cost over $620 million. These enhancements may include improvements to protection, surveillance, target acquisition, firepower, and mobility. Canada expects to issue a request for industry bids by 2028, with the first upgraded tanks anticipated to be operational by 2030. This modernization aims to align Canadian Leopard 2 configurations with those of NATO allies to enhance interoperability. Financial considerations are a significant factor in the Canadian government’s plans for its tank fleet. Canada’s defense budget is already allocated toward major projects, such as the procurement of F-35 fighter jets, surface combatant ships, and P-8 patrol aircraft, limiting available funds for new tank acquisitions. Although the government announced plans to replace the tanks sent to Ukraine, no further information has been released, and financial constraints may delay this process. Canadian defense analyst Martin Shadwick has highlighted that Canada’s approach to tanks has varied over time, noting that a 2003 decision to retire the Leopard fleet was reversed in favor of lighter vehicles, only to be reinstated when tanks were deployed in Afghanistan. The future of Canada’s tank fleet remains uncertain, and it is unclear whether Canada will acquire new tanks in the immediate future. To address maintenance needs, Canada has increased the use of contracted Field Service Representatives (FSRs) from KMW since 2018, allowing for specialized technician support at Army facilities across the country. Additionally, adjustments to the training and management of Canadian technicians are intended to strengthen maintenance capabilities and ensure sufficient technical support during periods of increased demand. The Canadian Army has emphasized that these changes are part of broader efforts to maintain the operational readiness of the Leopard 2 fleet, with the LTSC anticipated to play a critical role in sustaining the tanks until their projected end-of-service date in 2035. The Leopard 2A6M CAN C2 seems to retain the weaponry of the Leopard 2A6M CAN, which is armed with a Rheinmetall L55 120mm smoothbore gun and two 7.62mm machine guns. (Picture source: ARD 1) Currently, Canada operates 74 Leopard 2 Main Battle Tanks (MBTs) in three main variants: 34 Leopard 2A4 tanks designated for training, 20 upgraded Leopard 2A4M tanks, and 20 Leopard 2A6M tanks. Additionally, 52 older Leopard 1C2 tanks remain in storage. In addition to these tanks, the Canadian Army has around 30 recovery and engineering vehicles, including 5 Buffalo Armoured Engineering Vehicles (AEVs) and 18 Wisent 2 vehicles, as well as 12 BPz-3 Büffel Armoured Recovery Vehicles (ARVs). With 8 tanks donated to Ukraine and 15 Leopard 2A4 tanks now deployed to Eastern Europe as part of NATO’s bolstered presence since the onset of the Ukraine conflict, questions have arisen about the readiness and condition of Canada’s remaining tanks. National Defence spokesperson Dan Le Bouthillier emphasized that Leopard 2 tanks, like other heavy vehicles, require extensive maintenance and inspections. On average, these tanks spend about 30% of their time in maintenance, which includes scheduled inspections. In response to reports that Canada was allegedly cannibalizing certain tanks to maintain others, Le Bouthillier clarified that such practices are only permitted under specific and urgent circumstances, with authorization from local commanders. He noted that no Leopard 2 tanks have been permanently decommissioned to support other units. Canada's defense policy contends with limited defense spending and a complex security environment. In 2023, the defense budget was about 1.38% of GDP, below NATO’s 2% target. However, Canada ranks seventh in NATO for absolute defense spending, with some modest increases in outlays planned. Plans include doubling its NATO Enhanced Presence Battlegroup in Latvia by 2026 and committing more than $1.8 billion in military aid to Ukraine, along with continuing training under Operation Unifier. Currently, Canada operates 34 Leopard 2A4 tanks designated for training, 20 upgraded Leopard 2A4M tanks, and 20 Leopard 2A6M tanks. (Picture source: Canadian MoD) The Leopard 2A6M CAN is a Canadian version of the German Leopard 2A6 main battle tank, deployed in 2007 to address operational needs in Afghanistan. Canada initially assessed its Leopard C2 tanks but determined that they were insufficient for the region's conditions, particularly due to a lack of air conditioning, which impacted crew performance. Consequently, Canada arranged for the German Bundeswehr to loan twenty Leopard 2A6 tanks, which were then modified by KMW to include mine protection and other adjustments to meet Canadian Army requirements. This deployment aimed to enhance vehicle protection and provide a more suitable platform for Canadian forces in Afghanistan's demanding operational environment. The Leopard 2A6M CAN includes several modifications unique to this variant. Enhancements consist of a mine protection package to reinforce the tank's underside, specific communications and anti-IED jamming equipment mounted on the turret, and stand-off slat armor for additional defense. An air conditioning unit and cooling vests were later added to reduce heat strain on the crew, alongside Saab Barracuda camouflage mats to decrease heat absorption by 50 percent. The initial twenty tanks were on loan from Germany, configured with MG3 machine guns, while subsequent tanks, procured from the Netherlands, were integrated with C6 GPMGs for consistency with Canadian forces. Upon returning to Canada in 2011, features like ECM boxes and slat armor were removed, yet the Canadian Army retained and continues to modify these tanks. In terms of specifications, the Leopard 2A6M CAN is equipped with a 1,500-horsepower MTU diesel engine and RENK transmission, enabling a top speed of 68 km/h and a range of 550 km on roads. It is armed with a Rheinmetall L55 120mm smoothbore gun, with a wide range of elevation, and two 7.62mm machine guns. The tank, weighing 62.3 tons in combat, can traverse obstacles up to 1.1 meters high and 3 meters wide. Other features include modular and composite armor, NBC protection, and options for additional modular armor. These characteristics contribute to the tank’s operational capabilities in various combat scenarios. 16. Mitch McConnell unloads on 'narcissist' Trump as 'despicable human being': new biography Republican Sen. Mitch McConnell called Donald Trump a "narcissist" and a "despicable human being," among other things, according to an upcoming biography. … "Mitch McConnell said after the 2020 election that then-President Donald Trump was 'stupid as well as being ill-tempered,' a 'despicable human being' and a 'narcissist,' according to excerpts from a new biography of the Senate Republican leader that will be released this month," according to the report. "McConnell made the remarks in private as part of a series of personal oral histories that he made available to Michael Tackett, deputy Washington bureau chief of The Associated Press. Tackett’s book, 'The Price of Power,' draws from almost three decades of McConnell’s recorded diaries and from years of interviews with the normally reticent Kentucky Republican." https://www.rawstory.com/mcconnell-trump-narcissist/?utm_source=flipboard&utm_content=topic%2Fliberal
  17. Why so I can prove how many orders of magnitude greater my intellect is compared to you? Believing in chemtrails nonsense is a metaphor for stupidity amd gullibility
  18. Yeah we get healthcare for life while Americans 65 and over do have a medicare program, only Medicare Part A (basic hospitalization coverage) is “free” and there are limits to the services covered and the amount covered. If they want more coverage than that under Medicare then they have to pay premiums ir obtain private insurance.
  19. *sigh* FFS its not JUST my personal opinion thats how the program is generally described by Canadians not just me. Do you understand? Do you right wing trolls really have to hijack and politicize EVERY SINGLE conversation for your partisan attacks? Like even someone’s question about pensions is not too mundane for your trolling? You can’t measure how much they paid to OAS, how much for the coast guard, how much for the post office etc. All you say is they paid more in taxes generally speaking. . But most citizens even upper/middle class ones receive more in public services than they pay in taxes. That’s the whole point of public services. I get it. In YOUR personal opinion no publicly funded service should be called equitable because some people pay more taxes than others. That’s not the lone or even prevailing interpretation of the word equitable.
  20. It’s a reply that makes fun of your baseless factless claim. Look at your low iq meltdown “oh you lefty liberal leftist liberal youre stoopid!” LMAO
  21. Why you’re the resident bullshitter on this forum
  22. As a fox news personality he supported every republican candidate except John McCain, including Trump up until the J6 insurrection. Trump would even call Geraldo at his house to talk.
  23. So you just wanted to prove you have zero evidence to back your claim for the loch ness monster
