Meme/Cartoon of the Day
BeaverFever replied to WestCanMan's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Fire draws in air from every direction INWARDS towards the fire. Basically airfloW gently swirling TOWARDS the fire in a circular pattern like a drain. If there are objects (or people) blocking that flow, the largest one can become the path of least resistance for smoke emitting OUTWARDS from the fire If there is a breeze don’t sit on the upwind or downwind end of the fire, sit on the either side, perpendicular to the breeze, ie your shoulders facing the upwind and downwind. If no breeze, some suggest piling rocks or setting up some other obstacle to airflow on the edge of the fire pit where you want the smoke to go and the smoke will tend to flow towards the obstacle -
Canada Victory in Trump Tariff War!

LMAO it is not legal here you dipshit!! Seriously you are absolutely clueless add there no fentanyl problem coming from Canada. The fentanyl lie was a false pretence. He didn’t say what EXACTLY he wanted and he refused to talk to Canada before his unprovoked attack. In fact he said there was nothing Canada could do to stop the tariffs. For the fentanyl problem that doesn’t exist. The news article just repeated Trumps claims which are false and lack specifics on what he wanted from Canada. Trump backed down, he’s not coming back in 30 days So now instead of leaving office as a clown he leaves victorious -

Canada Victory in Trump Tariff War!
BeaverFever replied to godzilla's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
He got NOTHING he wanted which was the tariffs. He never even clearly said what exactly he wanted. Certificate nothing that wasn’t implemented back in December. He said there was NOTHING Canada could do to avoid the tariffs. As I’ve already said elsewhere: 1) Dictator On Day One (DODO)threatened tariffs under false pretences, repeatedly trolled Canada about becoming the 51st state and using “economic force” to annex Canada 2) The drugs and illegal immigrants from Canada are a statistical zero, contrary to FODOs lies 3) DODO’s claim that Canada refused requests to help crackdown on the (nom-existent) fentanyl and human smuggling are a lie He also cited a number of other various lies about Canada as justification most of which HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH TRADE so can’t be solved with Tariffs 4)Canada introduced a $1.3 Billion increase to border security anyway just to appease DODO back IN DECEMBER 5) DODO said there’s nothing Canada can do to avoid tariffs and could never clearly state what exactly he wanted Canada to do or when he would be satisfied 6) Despite refusing to take JTs phone calls or have any communication woth Canadian officials, as soon as we announce countermeasures he call JT twice in one day, described the call as “pretty good” and stopped the trolling and annexation talk. DODO “postponing” his tariffs for “30 days” is just his path of retreat so he can change the subject and move on to something else. He lost. He is not going to revisit this in 30 days. All Canada had to do was offer a few symbolic toke gestures…even though Trump had just said there was nothing Canada could do to avoid his tariffs. The bully tried to take our lunch money, we popped in the nose and now he’s fading away. -
Indeed. The Dictator On Day One’s Stalin-like purge of the civil service is definitely a consequence. He’s following the script authoritarian dictator Orban whom Trump and republicans admire and praise so much.

Canada Victory in Trump Tariff War!

That was announced back in December you dipshit. The only new thing is that some public official is going to have “fentanyl czar added to their title for a little while. You think that was worth destroying the economy for? Just on the weekend Trump was saying there is nothing Canada can do to avoid his tariffs. He said he would increase them if Canada dared to retaliate Now his slinking away with a limp dick after Canada took him to the woodshed -
Canada Victory in Trump Tariff War!

LMAO the fake reality you live in! This is a victory for Canada. Trudeau just re-announced his December border plan with a couple of small tweaks. To stop the imaginary fentanyl that doesn’t exist. Trump retreated from his illegal cash grab and this is his way out. Trump lost bigly -
Canada Victory in Trump Tariff War!

I love it how every time Dictator On Day One shits the bed and fails there’s someone to claim he did it on purpose as part of some genius 4D chess move. DODO’s half baked tariff scheme failed, plain and simple. Trudeau kicked his ass in the span of 72 hours and now thanks to Trump, JT will leave office with a major historic win that will change Canada for the better, hopefully permanently -
Let’s recap the FACTS before the MAGA cultists can get their gaslighting revisionism together 1) Dictator On Day One (DODO)threatened tariffs under false pretences, repeatedly trolled Canada about becoming the 51st state and using “economic force” to annex Canada 2) The drugs and illegal immigrants from Canada are a statistical zero, contrary to FODOs lies 3) DODO’s claim that Canada refused requests to help crackdown on the (nom-existent) fentanyl and human smuggling are a lie He also cited a number of other various lies about Canada as justification most of which HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH TRADE so can’t be solved with Tariffs 4)Canada introduced a $1.3 Billion increase to border security anyway just to appease DODO 5) DODO said there’s nothing Canada can do to avoid tariffs and could never clearly state what exactly he wanted Canada to do or when he would be satisfied 6) Despite refusing to take JTs phone calls or have any communication woth Canadian officials, as soon as we announce countermeasures he call JT twice in one day, described the call as “pretty good” and stopped the trolling and annexation talk. Ontario hits Musk Over Tariffs
BeaverFever replied to herbie's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Total Bullshit, Its obvious to EVERYONE that Dictator On Day One’s fabricated claims about the Canadian border were just a flimsy pretext to impose tariffs. 1) 0.2% of illegal immigrants and drugs are from Canada meanwhile Canada has endured American drugs guns and criminals coming north for generations 2) Canada didn’t refuse any requests to help more because no such requests were ever made. It was Trump who refused Canadas offer for help when we flew down to Mar-aLago and presented a $1.3Bn border plan just to appease him. 3) DODO couldn’t even articulate what exactly he wanted Canada to do or when he would consider the “emergency” over and as recently as Friday said there was nothing Canada could do to avoid the tariffs. As recently as last night he kept inventing new excuses for why he set the tariffs. Apparently it’s because of FALSE claim that we don’t allow US banks in Canada 4)DODO refused to even take Trudeaus call simce inauguration. But now after announcing our countermeasures he called JT TWICE IN ONE DAY, dropped the 51st state trolling crap and described his conversation as “pretty good”. 5) He claimed we owe USA hundreds of billions of dilapidated and the tariffs we’re supposed to make us pay up DODO’s “one month extension” in exchange for a token gesture from Canada is just his excuse to retreat from this whole issue. He knows his followers have the memory of a goldfish and won’t remember any of thi in one months time, especially with Super Bowl just around the corner. The bully came for Canada’s lunch money, we punched him in the nose and now he’s running away And just like Queenston Heights, we’re victorious amd the Americans retreated. Nothing hysterical or reactionary about defending yourself when attacked and our victory speaks for itself. -
Ontario hits Musk Over Tariffs

All GOVERNMENT contracts with US businesses are fair game that’s how trade wars work. But don’t worry breaking news Trump has backed down from his tariff threat so Musk and Americans get a reprieve. -
Ontario hits Musk Over Tariffs

Stop being ridiculous The Premiers and Prime Minister were very clear that they would exclude US businesses from government contracts while tariffs are in effect punishing Canadian businesses. In addition Musk is part of the Trump Administration -
Promises given, promises kept.
BeaverFever replied to betsy's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
What about his promise to release his tax returns? That’s almost 10 years old now And what about his promise to replace Obamacare with some kind of magical health insurance that covers everyone for everything and nobody has to pay for? What about his promise to end the Russian invasion without the first 24 hours of his second term? BTW in English nobody says “promises given” People MAKE promises, they don’t GIVE them. -
It because republicans and their useful id1ots keep licking it. The cult of trump is almost exclusively about licking his butt and little else. I still do have harsh words for Alberta, I get why the First Ministers want to maintain 100% consensus and for a united front for now. I just wish Alberta wouldn’t be so difficult to appease they’ve become the new Quebec except Quebec only wants to be independent while Alberta is a Republican puppet. Nobody forced Alberta to be an American puppet, other than the US oil industry, which owns the Alberta government. True, opposing east-west pipelines hasn’t helped but Alberta has always been a US puppet.
-
And WSJ is a very conservative, very republican news outlet. Meanwhile while this is the too story on virtually every US news outlet, over on FOX News there is not one story about Trump’s tariffs or the trade war even though the website has a section explicitly dedicated to covering Trump’s first 100 days. Instead it’s just red meat stories about wokeness, the suoer bowl amd plane crashes. Jut goes to show the information bubble they try to keep their audience in.

LOL what am I losing exactly? Im not losing anything. And yeah what she did was comparable to a weird sex fetish. Like when Trump licked Putin’s arsehole in Helsinki. I am open to adding an export Tariff on oil if need be. Trudeau said currently the decisions are currently being made with unanimous agreement between the premiers.

Are the Democrats an Actual Cult?
BeaverFever replied to WestCanMan's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
As usual you’re speaking about topics you don’t understand. The 2 traitors got off weren’t innocent guys who were tricked or forced into doing something they didn’t understand. They knowingly signed up to willingly participate in a kidnapping plot. Entrapment laws are strict and complex, they got off on a technicality. When the Toronto 18 Islamists terror cell was busted up some of them also got off on entrapment arguments, it happens sometimes when informants or undercover agents are involved because obviously those agents have to participate in the group to some degree, they can’t just sit in the back writing down what everyone else is saying. The 2 plotters weren’t exonerated as innocent law abiding victims of an evil FBI, criminals get acquitted on technicalities all the time and that’s what happened to those lucky 2. It wasn’t relevant to the other trials because it was specific to their situation which is why it was inadmissible . -
I wonder if it would have been more strategic if Canada had announced all the tariffs for take effect in 3 weeks instead of the small amount starting this coming week . Reason being now when Americans feel economic pain Dictator On Day One will blame Canada and falsely claim his tariffs alone don’t hurt Americans If we had postponed our retaliation for a few weeks would have let the Americans burn under DODO’s tariffs alone and then let them know it’s about to get a lot worse.
-
You don’t know what you’re talking about and neither does DODO and none of your imaginary fabricated claims about drugs in Canada has anything to do with Tariffs. Drugs entering US from Canada are statistically insignificant and Tariffs dont stop those anyway. Trump is using his made up drug claims as a false pretext
-
Licking Trumps arsehole may have been the reason as we know Trump rewards sycophants. But Americans need and want Canadian oil and the US oil industry is rich and powerful so it might not have anything to do with her. Tonight Trudeau said the premiers didn’t agree with bumping up oil (perhaps just for now) because one of the guiding principles of their federal-provincial working group is to not single out or disproportionately affect one province or one industry. Alberta has always been the disloyal province ever since it was captured by Big Oil and we all know the that province will have a field day if their victim narrative is fed. For now the feds want to stay united.

Tariffs on Canadian Goods

America has run huge deficits for most of it’s history, that nothing new, certainly can’t blame it on Ukraine and Israel.
