14th amendment doesn’t have to list ever single possible way you are free from government overreach, just like the first amendment can simply say you have freedom of speech without listing every single thought ams idea you are free to say. And this is only a short list of Republicans creeping fascism. I don’t even think we can call it creeping anymore its more like approaching full gallop. -

But it’s fair to mention that for a half century prior to this highly partisan activist court, the Supreme Court said the 14th amendment DID apply to abortion, interracial marriage, birth control and other private matters that were no business of the state. Now the current conservative judges have ruled that states are free to ban all those things. -

Believing that people shouldn’t go to jail for it isn’t favouring it. I believe people should be allowed to get divorces, that doesn’t mean I “favour” people getting divorced. I believe doctors should be able to amputate limbs when medically necessary. It doesn’t mean I “favour” peoples limps being amputated. I believe pet owners should be able to out down a seriously ill pet, that doesn’t mean I “favour” killing pets. Get it? These lat term abortions only happen under very rare very extreme and very serious situations They are not done for no reason and they are regulated under medical standards not under criminal law, just like other surgeries, amputations and other medical procedures are . Doctors are still subject to criminal sanctions if they recklessly or needlessly perform operations and procedures -

There are so many ways to expose the idiocy of your statement but the simplest one is that 14th amendment protects bodily autonomy to both men and women. And Secondly Einstein, its not a contest. If there happen to be more ways that women’s bodily autonomy can be violated compared to men, - for example forced pregnancy - then they still are entitled to full protection. Both states have the death penalty for murder. You think women need conservative male guardians like you to regulate them under threat of criminal punishment because they lack sufficient intelligence and morals. No. Yet another example of a conservative man knowing nothing women or their bodies. Shocker. Womens periods are APPROXIMATELY every 4 weeks. Therefore a woman who misses her first period could already be 4 weeks pregnant before she even has reason to suspect anything And for many/most women their periods aren’t perfectly regular and it would not be unusual be a week late from time. So a woman or girl could be in Week 5 of a 6 week abortion window before she suspects anything. All so some Christian can his force his religion on other people. Women should not have to constantly take pregnancy tests and then play beat the clock to get an appointment at a clinic that many red states have already made all but impossible to provide timely service due to regulatory harassment. -
