Moral imperatives are the reality of mankind though. You can't ignore them unless you're a monster. If you pretend to ignore them you're just a hypocrite. What makes your life special? If one was to be killed tomorrow in an American military operation and you could choose it to be you or someone else you don't know, what would you choose? What would give you the right to choose?

Trump actions kill 63 Canadians
Marocc replied to godzilla's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Why? That's what America wants. A typical tactic of an abuser. -
Greece, Egypt, Cyprus and France denounce a deal signed by the head of Libya's Government of National Accord (GNA), Fayez al-Sarraj and the president of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. The deal supposedly would give Turkey the authority to carry out operations in the eastern Mediterranean in, which runs afoul on the right of sovereignty of other countries. https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2020/01/mediterranean-countries-call-turkey-gna-deals-void-200109062417867.html

Then you have no problem with terrorists in governments, oppressors of peoples, stealing from your country, breaking international laws or disobeying contracts. You said "you can't have it both ways," when there is a middle way. I don't see an issue. It's okay not to stay 'at home', but one has to be capable of deciding when to stay and when to go. Usually governments get someone capable into the leading position. I guess it's gonna bite US in the ass soon.

What is reality for you? Are you aware how your life and your environment has shaped your mind, your emotional life, your ideals and aspirations? Technically, there is no such thing as an objective reality.

Canadians FEAR Trump...Big Time
Marocc replied to bush_cheney2004's topic in Canada / United States Relations
Let's not exaggerate. The west is bigger than US. (it is part of the problem that the US doesn't always acknowledge that) -
If you're in today's topic, it was a murder rather than excecution. Like the kid at the back of the class... it okay for a country to protect its interests — but not on the expense of other countries. I've never demanded that the US acts. The reason I don't say 'stay home altogether' is that it isn't right to say so. If that's what America chooses to do, please — but all countries should have basic freedom to cooperate with other countries.
-
You can hardly make credible a claim that all wouldn't be a bit better if the US knew when to stay and when to go. I think they need a guardian.
-
You don't appear to have anything but personal insults on offer today.

Oh what a horrible world it is. Sometimes one is just forced to go to war for profit.

State Sponsor. But does the US consider the bombing of Yemen as terrorism? They should and that is done by Saudi Arabia. Does US consider itself to take part in terrorism? They should. How much money have they put onto it though..

Hurt me reading it. If we leave aside how that would hurt people, can you reason why Iran should be the target of this instead of the target being some other country?
-
Those, too, may be called ignorant morons, if one is inclined to use such language. How about for loss? You think only defensive war is justified, right? I think the morals don't vary all that much. Some people simply ignore that voice within that tells them they're wrong. They're so used to ignoring it that it is almost as though it didn't exist. Maybe in time it ceases to exist? According to what moral code are they the 'nicest' people? Morality is a big concept. Not promoting war doesn't make you moral. Yeah, but the land there is good...lots of drugs... That couldn't have been the reason. There are weapons of mass destruction everywhere. I think I asked this before, but what makes you think Iran supports independent groups of terrorists? That 'half' there is just a random guess? None that I ever read. Maybe switch yours? You realise when you isolate the regime, you isolate the people? You can pretend that it helps the people..... But it might come with a high cost. The sanctions to begin with were the worst choice.

The idea is to make you think Trump might go to war. It's all that keeps people in line.

It's obvious you generally are vague. I'm not sure if there is an error in this sentence, if it is simply in an erratic form or if it can only be understood with your prejudices and lies in mind. Do I say, "that's not what I meant"? Doesn't sound like me. "I never said that" on the other hand is what people often say when you say they said something which they didn't say. Appearing dishonest would mean nothing next to you. It isn't because I quoted you saying, ? To which I said It is relevant in deciding whether a government is Muslim or not. when I said After already having stated earlier I declare, your question has been answered. We better read it once more — That's too vague, Here that refers to your question. Vague according to Merriam-Webster is defined as follows: : not clearly expressed : stated in indefinite terms b : not having a precise meaning 2a : not clearly defined, grasped, or understood : indistinct b : not clearly felt or sensed : somewhat subconscious 3 : not thinking or expressing one's thoughts clearly or precisely 4 : lacking expression : vacant 5 : not sharply outlined : hazy I think the two first definitions express clearly what I meant when I said vague. Now, when I wrote I was urging you to make your question more specific.
-
I don't consider it a belief. How many non-Muslims are there? That's too vague. What about it exemplifies..?
-
The Iranian government is Muslim and Muslims don't sell their faith for trade. I doubt they want to make much deals with US anyway. They hardly needed them. What does that mean? Is that a strategy?
-
Yes, in as much as possible. But the IRGC have been known for 'politically incorrect behaviour'. And elsewhere. A thousand might return to their ordinary lives after getting what they wanted.
-
I'm not sure that makes one a war criminal.
-
I might consider it a sanction if you can't send mail wherever you want.
-
You can't explain it. They go hand in hand for a good politician — which is why I agree; he should leave it. It happens all over the world. Btw, a mocking tone is also just another way to try to silence people.

I think you're making it worse. It's much better to have excuses than to have none. Unless you're about to face your problems. A presenter on Iranian state television later claimed, without offering evidence, that the strikes killed "at least 80 terrorist U.S soldiers" 'All is well!' President Donald Trump tweeted shortly after the missile attacks, adding, 'So far, so good' regarding casualties. Someone should write those tweets for him. Adding to the chaos and overall jitters, a Ukrainian airplane with at least 170 people crashed after takeoff just outside Tehran on Wednesday morning, killing all on board, state TV reported. The plane had taken off from Imam Khomeini International Airport and mechanical issues were suspected, the report said. Why is it always a Ukrainian plane? Where do they get the planes? https://www.timesfreepress.com/news/national/international/story/2020/jan/07/iran-state-tv-tehran-fires-iraqi-base-housing-us-troops/512435/
