Could be an absolute steal on the Devils part, if Gusev lives up to the hype, VGK is going to be kicking themselves. Could be a bust though too, won't really know until we see Gusev in the NHL. VGK doesn't really have room in their top six though, so I can see why he's more expendable for them than he would be on most teams. Gusev signs for 2 years at $4.5 million AAV. -
How about the Green New Deal? That's would run America right into the ditch. Many of the socialist policies that are common place in other developed nations hold those nations back. The amount of socialism The Squad advocates for is not desirable, and anyone running on such a platform will never become POTUS.
-
I have always conceded that he lies. It's not racist to criticize Baltimore or Elijah Cummings. It's not racist to claim The Squad hates America either, their policies make that quite clear, they might even think they love America, but they are lying to themselves if so. Has nothing to do with them criticizing Trump. Trump takes shots at all the Democrat run cities doing a poor job, regardless of the demographic make up. Not taking aim at major Republican run cities is not a fair criticism, because all the big cities lean and vote Democrat consistently. Besides even if there was, attacking Democrat failures wins him more voters than attacking Republican failures, so why would he not focus on Democrat problems?
-
Wrong. I criticize him all the time, I point when he's lying all the time, but because agree with all your worst critiques, you assume I will justify anything he says. How do you know they weren't just having fun with the chant, and all of them were hyper serious and want her deported? Trump has clarified what he meant on numerous occasions, and it was plain as day in the original tweets, for anyone not trying to twist his words. Trump attacks everyone who attacks him, including Republicans, and white people, not just minorities and women, pretending otherwise is asinine. Attacking congressmen who happen to be minorities and/or women, doesn't mean he's doing it because they are minorities and/or women, derp. Criticizing a decaying city, that isn't majority white, isn't racist against minorities, and criticizing a decaying city that is majority white, isn't racist against whites. The leap of logic to pretend any such statements are racist is beyond ridiculous.

Mexico paying for the wall was hyperbole to sell better border security, no one ever took that part seriously except for rubes. Trump never claimed killing millions of people would fix Afghanistan, he just claimed it would win the war, which is bullshit. He is offering Afghanistan a carrot, while letting them know the stick is ready to come down on them, should they not take the carrot, it's called bluffing for negotiation leverage. He never told any American citizens to go back where they came from, because in the very same sentence he told them to come back and show us how it's done. It's an expression, he wasn't seriously telling anyone to leave or come back. Funny how you only believe the go back part and ignore the come back part though, shows your obvious bias. It wasn't a joke when he criticized a congressman for doing little to help Baltimore and helping run the city into the ground with counter-productive Democrat policies, that was just the truth. Clearly your detector is broken, because TDS prevents you from seeing things clearly. When you stop looking to twist everything Trump says into pure evil or extreme stupidity, his words make a lot more sense.
-
Your reading comprehension is next level garbage. When he says something that makes him look bad, you always assume these kind of statements are Trump telling the truth, while at the same time pretending that you can't believe anything he says in any other scenario. Which is it? Make up your mind. You only take Trump seriously when it's convenient for a hater to take him seriously, and it reveals just how strong your confirmation bias is when you engage in that level of cognitive dissonance.
-
Trump makes a lot of jokes, that Demohacks, media and folks like you take seriously when it makes him look bad. If he says something that makes him look good, he's lying, if he says something that makes him look bad if he's being serious, he is always telling the truth. Anything that makes him look good is a lie, and anything that makes him look bad is the truth, that's TDS in a nutshell. On the one hand you're like, you can't believe anything he says, and then on the other, you pretend a bunch of jokes he made need to be taken hyper seriously and he's being super honest. Make up your mind, which is it? Confirmation bias is a helluva drug.
-
He made a joke. That you took seriously, because taking it seriously makes him look bad, which is the only reason you took it seriously. You are easily fooled by a politicians words, believing the one's who play to your confirmation bias, and always disbelieving the one's who tell you something you don't want to hear, except when believing the words makes them look bad in your eyes, then you all of sudden believe them hook, line and sinker.

Trump wanted people to believe that if he won, it wasn't because of Russian Interference, because he wanted his election to be considered legitimate. Trump was pointing out other alternative parties who could have hacked the DNC, just as easily as Russians could have, and he pointed that out with the visual imagery of a 400lbs dude in his mom's basement, because that is level of sophistication required to pull it off and it's an image that sticks in people's heads. None of that means he was doing it to hide his collusion with Russia, that is preposterous conclusion to jump to. The media is perfectly free to report Schiff's words, and I never claimed otherwise. Just because Schiff says it doesn't mean you should believe it though, anymore than you believe anything Trump says, politicians lie for their own gain, and Schiff had every incentive to lie about Trump committing obstruction of justice and worse. Schiff is one of the biggest partisan hacks in American politics, and was long before Trump came along, acting like he is some trustworthy expert everyone should listen to is ridiculous.
-
Why would you take the word of politician who can hide behind plausible deniability and who it benefits to lie about Trump? Do you automatically trust anyone who paints Trump in a negative light? If you'll recall, before they lost the election, it was the Democrats who were claiming that claims of election interference were just paranoid conspiracy theories from the pro-Trump crowd, and how dare they call the election results into question. Then when they lost, they do a complete 180 and say the only way Trump could have won is by election interference.

America under President Trump

You can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink. America is the shining city on the hill, others are free to follow it's example, or not, blaming America for others distrusting it and not following it's example is pretty silly. If they want to distrust America because they are commies who buy into Anti-American propaganda, America isn't going to change their minds no matter how well they do in any of the areas you highlighted, in fact the better they do, the more haters there will be, it's all jealousy and envy. -

Who cares what Euros suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome think? America should be looking out for it's own interests, not trying to live according to what non-Americans think should be their interests. The anti-American backlash is not based on the actions of America, but based on the media there being Anti-Trump and portraying America under his administration in as bad of a light as possible because they are triggered by him, and the haters eating the obvious propaganda up. Every time a Republican gets elected POTUS, Europe acts like America is on the path to hell, and every time a Democrat gets elected all of a sudden they aren't as anti-American. Don't let the Euro Partisan Hacks fool you, their perception is not reality. -

Enhancing existing wealth protects the vulnerable, America is under no obligation to accept as many refugees as you want them to, Trump doesn't want to be fighting an unnecessary war just to stick it to Assad, and denying migrants who don't come in legally is a good thing. Sounds perfectly moral to me. -

It was self destructing before that, Bernie is such a lightweight. Good to see him getting a taste of his own medicine though, just desserts. -

Nylander in dreads? lol You don't see that everyday. -
Tariffs don't result in more jobs, higher wages, or better working conditions, quite the opposite. Any jobs gained in one sector of the economy, result in even more job loses in other sectors of the economy that have to pay higher prices for goods and services. Also consumers take the hit, and there are far more consumers than their are manufacturing workers by several orders of magnitude, even if their was more manufacturing jobs. The only people tariffs help are producers being sheltered from better competition by tariffs, everyone else pays more while they get all the reward. That doesn't help the poor, it helps the rich, but only a very small subsection of the rich, most of the rich get screwed too.

I don't mind trolling, as long as it's quality trolling. Bad trolling is lame, good trolling can be quite funny. -

Well some Canadians agree, others eat up the CBC propaganda like a starving stoner who just had a pizza delievered. So that would explain that dynamic. -
I don't think they'd be disgusted, because they see the wealth we have now, and don't want to go back to that, just so you can feel that Canada is doing the "right" thing. I can assure you that my grandparents aren't disgusted and have possessions that were made in China, they ain't much for the virtue signaling you project on them, that's a millenial thing. You know who isn't disgusted? The average consumer who loves cheaper products. You want to punish them so you can feel better about "standing up to tyranny", while deluding yourself into thinking only the rich benefit from trade in China, so you can pretend you're doing them a favor when advocating for shooting them in the foot.
