America under President Trump
Yzermandius19 replied to betsy's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Most of them stayed, the vast majority in fact. Just because CNN lets some of the few anti-Trump Republicans that exist on to their shows to rail against him doesn't mean he has low support with Republicans. He has over 90% Republican support, because he's triggered the Dems into being even crazier than you think he is, and Republicans are recoiling in disgust. -

The Democrats are way more divided than Trump, but all you hear about is Republican division stories, because you live in a media bubble that hates Republicans and Trump especially. Traditional Republicans support him, a few of them leaving is irrelevant, you are pointing to an extreme fringe minority as if that is representative of how Republicans feel about Trump, because the media tricked you into believing the Anti-Trumpers are more prevalent than they really are. Most Republican presidents faced stiffer inner party opposition than Trump, you just want to believe the opposite because it makes Trump look bad. When you have over 90% Republican support, the party is firmly behind you, the Never Trump opposition being a big thing is total fake news. -

Trump has more Republican support than any President in recent history, the presence of extremely feeble primary opposition makes no difference whatsover. The media is biased and likes to pretend the Republicans are divided even when they aren't. And you fall for it, because it makes Trump look bad, when he has less opposition than most Presidents do within their own party, because you are a dolt who believe anything about Trump as long as it paints him in a negative light. -

No I wouldn't. Just because some Liberals turn their back on JT doesn't make it his fault, it depends why they did it. I don't just latch on to anyone who says something negative about JT and act like they are telling the truth, like you do about Trump. I don't have Trudeau Derangement Syndrome, but you do have Trump Derangement Syndrome. Just because some idiots do the same to Trudeau that you are doing to Trump doesn't mean it's a good idea to prop up a politician you hate by grasping at straws to attack them. -

And you look at no news stories that tell the other side of the argument, you live a Trump Hater bubble, and think everything he does is bad, because biased media tells you he is. -

Other Republicans saying so does not make it correct. Since when do quote Pence as an authority about anything? You only believe him when he tells you something you want to hear about Trump, every other time, you dismiss everything he says out of hand. Make up your mind cherry picker. -

Both things are not stupid. You will literally look at any news story and try to make it a negative about Trump. -

Negotiation tactic, your reading comprehension is next level bad. You honestly think that if your imagination is so terrible as to not think of another reason that Trump did something other than Trump is bad, then your idiotic conclusions have to be right. -

The President can declassify anything he wants. Moving the goalposts because your first attack was so transparently stupid. -

Perhaps because it's negotiation tactic. But of course, you always assume the worst about Trump, even when does something good, like trying to put an end to the war in Afghanistan. -

Yeah, cause it's better for to keep fighting a pointless war. Your TDS is showing, you are so triggered you'd rather see America keep fighting wars to prevent Trump from getting credit for ending them. Sad. -

Confirmation bias is a helluva drug. Cognitive dissonance is a common side effect. -

Can't tell people where to live, that's blatantly unconstitutional. Keep digging the grave deeper for yourself Zeitgeist, it's pretty funny. -

You really can't handle that more immigrants want to go to America than Canada, can you? The tides are not turning at all, wishful thinking is a helluva drug. -

Still not enough to bring down Confederation right this minute, but eventually Quebec will be free. -

There won't be a Canader for that much longer, the Eskimo Communists will hang themselves and bring their Fake Country down with them. Vive le Quebec libre! -

Eskimo Communists ain't big on God or the Queen, and they think the country is Confederation and rally around it to "save" the Eskimo's from themselves. -

If they want to vote for some bullsh*t, I can't do anything about it. You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink, and I don't expect them to drink. The reason they aren't drinking has nothing to do with me or the few who agree with me, not trying hard enough to lead them to water, and has everything to do with them not wanting to drink. -

Nah. I ain't changing to go along with the crowd, f*ck the crowd, they don't know sh*t. If they don't share my views, why should I even care? Candidates I like aren't going to start winning elections any time soon, that just the way she goes, get used to it. Stop living in a fantasy world where that's going to change if the fringe outsiders just participated more, because it's not. You simply want to believe that you can change politics if you just try, how extremely naive of you, you can only change it if the rubes agree with you, and if they don't, trying to convince them will give you nothing but a headache. -

When the vast majority of people do not share your views, it doesn't matter how much you get out the vote. No sane person, who would be a great candidate if the only the rubes elected him, will be recruited to pitch ideas that they will never sell the rubes on, what benefit would that be to them?
