AOC is a card carrying member of the Democratic Socialists of America, and all the Dem candidates support her central planning power grab, even after her campaign manager said that was the main feature of the Green New Deal, not a bug. Therefore they are running on socialism. Bernie claims to be socialist, Warren is running to the left of Bernie and wants a full blown wealth tax, Biden approves of the Green New Deal and just wants to tweak it a little. Well this time, they are. When Obama was running, it was just hyperbole, now it's matter of fact. Every candidate with a chance of winning is running on socialism, whether they are man enough to admit to it, like Bernie, or not. Warren is running to the left of Bernie now, even though Bernie is an avowed socialist, Biden wants ban all multi bullet magazines and they are all vocal proponents of the Green New Deal. The Democrats have jumped the shark.

No Biden actually said it, you assume incorrectly. If it's rhetoric, it's Biden's rhetoric. Banning magazines with multiple bullets means one bullet only magazines. Biden is running far to the left of Obama in 2020. Clearly you aren't even paying attention.

Obama was far-right compared to these Demohacks running in 2020. If Obama ran in 2020 and ran on his 2008 platform, he would be the furthest on the right of the entire field by a notable margin. Hence why these Demohacks are attacking Biden on his record as Obama's VP. Being slightly less centrist than Clinton in 2008 is not socialist enough to lose the Rust Belt. Background checks are already in place, Biden wants to ban all semi-automatics and any magazine that holds more than one bullet, that's more gun grabbing than even Canada supports. These Democrats are too socialist for Canada, let alone the Rust Belt. They are talking about decriminalizing illegal immigration and then giving those illegals tax payer funded health care while taking away the preferred health care of millions of actual American citizens. Nor did Obama support something as crazy as the Green New Deal. Obama was nowhere near that insane, and the Rust Belt knew it. In 2020, the Democrats have gone further left on several key issues than many socialist countries, and the Rust Belt knows it.

They are taking those voters for granted as we speak, it is happening again, you just wish it wouldn't. Socialism doesn't play in the Rust Belt, and neither does Identity Politics, nor does Gun Grabbing or Free Speech Hating. The Democrats are basically doing everything they can to alienate the Rust Belt, wake up dude. Last time Democrats had twice as much to spend than the Trump Campaign and still lost, this time Trump is going to have more money than them, that doesn't bode well for the Democrats. He is going to be able to spend a lot more in the Rust Belt than he was last time around, and they will have less to spend. You are tunnel visioning on your perception of Trump's weakness, while ignoring the weaknesses of his opposition, which is leading you to faulty analysis.

Many didn't leave, more didn't leave than those who left. There are more people who have left the Democrats than have left the Republicans. You want to believe that Trump appeals only to his base, which you think is smaller than the Republican base before Trump, and he wins no swing voters, but that is simply false on all counts. Trump literally won in 2016, because he stole former Obama voters in key swing states. Reagan Democrats in the Rust Belt FTW. Those are the facts, you simply wish to believe that he is less popular than he actually is.
