NAFTA negotiations.
paxamericana replied to Thinkinoutsidethebox's topic in Canada / United States Relations
HA! As if Canada will find a larger market with the least amount of tariff than the US. All the other countries you'd be trading with have tariff higher than what we offer, which is free trade. It's okay to be upset at the US but big bro just got to whip everyone into shape every now and then. Try not to take it too personally Canada. You'll come back begging for free trade soon enough. -
The Great Immigration Debate
paxamericana replied to paxamericana's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Actually the Japanese culture is to assimilate not stand out. It's the reverse of what we have here in the US. Over there its considered rude or shameful to be different from everyone else. In fact the first thing i did when i landed at Narita airport is said, sorry I am American...in japanese and then proceeded to ask for directions. They immediate gave me a big smile knowing full well of what i meant. -
I find this to be the most laughable demand by the PRC, to change all mention of Taiwan as a independent foreign nation. Looks like Air Canada is one of the many white flags that Canada is willing to throw up in the face of totalitarianism. Actions like this and the lack of defense spending often give their southern neighbor a most unfavorable impression.

yup, all for corporate profit, here's a novel idea why don't they pay their workers more. Stop giving their profit to the top 1 percent. -
The Great Immigration Debate
paxamericana replied to paxamericana's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Looks like all the globalist liberal elites are complaining about Trump's immigration policy. They're complaining that they'll have to pay Americans more. "But President Donald Trump has cracked down on the program. His administration has accused companies like Infosys of flooding the United States with cheap foreign labor. Trump's policies on immigration have been criticized by several prominent industry leaders, including Google's (GOOGL) Eric Schmidt and Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi. " ""An increase in anti-outsourcing sentiments in certain countries in which we operate, including the United States, United Kingdom, European Union and Australia have led and may in the future lead to the enactment of restrictive legislations," the company said in a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission last week." https://money.cnn.com/2018/07/23/technology/infosys-visas-immigration-warning/index.html -
China surrendering
paxamericana replied to paxamericana's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
The US can bitch about what ever they want and do what ever they want. The rest of the world will just have to live with it. We have the best economy and military force ever. There's been no other force like this, if china wants to compete then fine by us. We're not throwing in the white flag. -

Globalist! -
From my travels to china in the recent past I don't think westerners understand how difficult it is for china to change to a service consumer based industry. They lack viable lending institusion that allow westerner to fully exceed their typical consumption. Many especially the one with money in the older generation are extremely frugal not wanting to spend their lifetime of saving on expensively tariffed goods. While at the same time preferring western products to home made one. This is why they prefer to spend money overseas. Second they lack stable institution that encourages freedom of thought and ideas. Hence they are not very good a innovation. This is a systemic problem and can not be solves overnight let alone in a generation. It will take a complete liberalisation and the embrace of democracy to become innovators. Many that left china to pursue a western education often do not wish to return once they've been injected with freedom. While it is important to not underestimate them we should also not overestimate as well. As for Trump's negotiation tactic on trade we will have to wait and see. I know he is waiting until after the midterms of 2018 before signing on new trade agreements. If the nato summit is anything to prove I think we will be seeing some good results.

You think so? I disagree, I think the US is in a great position to make unilateral demand as Trump has demonstrated. To be fair there are reformist inside of xi's own party who sees the pitfall of his plan. I don't think the Chinese will stop buying american monetary backing especially when they are using it to prevent inflation. If they sell off US greenbacks or stop buying it then their currency would go into free fall causing mass inflation and an even faster deflation like what we saw happen to Russia and Iran. Though this isn't really the goal though, we're just trying to get them to change course. We're not interested in collapsing 1.3 billion people back into chaos and poverty but if its got to be done then Trump's the guy to do it.

Canada should renounce democracy

Oh here's some more evidence of the global elite, this time from bernie man. Liberal elites is what he calls them. ... -
More twitter spat between Trump and Iran. This is scary and hilarious at the same time.

Fair enough, either way the end result of their corporate greed and globalist agenda is what got us here. You are 100 percent correct, the one who wins is the corporation. The global elite are pulling out the gloves for their fight with trump. The same global elite that owns CNN MSNBC NYT Whasington post etc...They don't care what happens, they make just as much money going up as going down. They've been putting America in a managed state of decline since China joined the WTO. Everybody was saying that the rise of China is the second law of thermodynamic, it was natural... we nationalist say nope it ain't. Trump's doing something about it now. The Chinese built their house on a very sandy foundation and they know it. In one fell swoop and we can destroy their entire plan. You'll see. If China keeps this up then they will see all their industrial base leave to other countries with no consumer service economy to replace it.

She's part of the global elite. She much prefer advancing her global agenda even at the cost average americans. Trump's the best feminist around. Look how many feminist he signed up. Look at all the single mother he has employed. He's so humbled that he doesn't want any credit for it, even offering hush money to these people. -
Its part of trump pressure campaign against china. Trying to get them to play by the rules. If not then fine by us. We'll bring back all those industry they are seeking so desparately to steal. Those commodity prices can be leverage to force those industry to move production outside of china. You are only looking at the short term trend. Oh and its not all about trade, they are trying to supplant the us as the next hegemon. Think we'll just sit there and let them do it?

Canada should renounce democracy
paxamericana replied to paxamericana's topic in Canada / United States Relations
From a historical perspective, Trump is playing the pluto-nationalism card. He's a very rich elite who benefits from globalism but he is not a globalist by any means however. He's just part of the system that was setup by the global elite to reap benefit for them selves while promoting "globalist virtues". Trump is not anti elite, just anti globalist. I suspect that Trump made a deal with the elite cutting their taxes but forcing them to repatriate their money and reinvest in American industry. All the while choking off the cheap supply of immigrant labor that the elites were profiting from. -

She's a globalist. An elitist at that. She doesn't care about working class deplorable. It may also surprise you but rich white people hate poor whites here in the states. A Lot of the rich Obama supporters are like this. But again don't take my word for it. Do your own research. Learn the truth for your self. I know this for a fact because I was part of that rich one percent. I hear them complain about the poor working class everyday at our country club meetings. -
Canada should renounce democracy

The global elites are people like hillary clinton, george bush etc... They believe that a one world order is the means to an end and as long as they make money doing it they don't care if everyday common american suffer. Don't take my word for it. Do your own research and open up your eyes. I'm just sounding the alarm. -

Don't conflate the issue of globalism and automation. Yes automation is a huge disruption to people's lively hood.It affects everyone and not just people in the midwest. Technology is replacing human productivity at a very quick pace. This isn't the issue I'm talking about. The issue is that those global elites are moving jobs to out side the country while flooding our country with cheap immigrant labor at the expense of american workers. We're not even limiting this to industrial jobs where they will be replace by automation, look at the tech industry, you know how many h1b workers our government has hired? There are tons of them in silicone valley. Suppressing the wages of american labor. They obviously promote globalism while lining their pocket books. The global elite don't care about the average american and that's why they lost the election. Trump has done more for the common man than you know. Look at our unemployment rate now, look at our economy now. All of these are due to Trump's economic nationalist policy. -

paxamericana replied to paxamericana's topic in Canada / United States Relations
A globalist eh? Sorry but that heart felt sorrow for the world doesn't resonate much at home with the deplorable that the global elitist left behind. What happen to taking care of the industrial workers of the Midwest who were left behind by your globalist agenda. Globalism failed to deliver for these people. You know why? Because a global economy with national political system will never work. It encourages regional actors to cheat, trying to get ahead at the expense of their neighbors, look at china, Europe, Russia, all trying to adopt non tariff barriers against america. Selling to us at a cheap rate but making it impossible for us to sell back to them. This isn't even mentioning the warring conflict we face. Again, a global economy with national political system would never work. It only encourages cheating. Look at the UN, NATO, WTO all bunch of cheaters taking advantage of the more liberal countries. So why not globalize a political system for the world you say? Do you even know what a global political system would look like? Certainly democracy would not be it. We have enough problem electing a president that half of the country is not happy with. Can you imagine this on a global scale and the kind of conflict that would occur? Why should countries be placed under one generic world order. How do you decide which country immigrant refugee get priority when climate change start affecting us 50 years from now. Are we going to move all of southern america to Canada? Would you be okay with strangers coming to your backyard and displacing your local neighborhood with their own unique culture, religion, and various other form of identity? What if those diversity are against your own traditional value, take fundamental Islam for instance. Are you going to start accepting that women are not allowed to go to school and that they should become property to men, adopt sharia law? Is there such a thing as strength in diversity, I thought it was strength in unity? Remember, even America, a proving ground for you globalist with its melting pot can only be as successful because this melting pot strips all preconceived form of external identity to replace it with a purely unique american cultural identity. Why should I adopt a global identity when my individual identity is unique and deserve just as much value as any other. Would globalism not lead to further isolation and alienation that many of those who commit suicide feel? These issues are real issue that you globalist seem to forget with your lofty ideals. We are sick and tired of the promised dream that never delivered. its time we take back our national identity and put our own people first since the rest of the global elite don't care either way as long as their pocket books are filled with profit from hiring cheap international labor and flooding our country with cheap immigrant labor. I don't care so much that you dislike trump, he has plenty of folly but he's the only one standing up for us, the deplorable, so get it in your head, it won't end with Trump. This populist movement is already spreading. Brexit was the first sign that you globalist should have paid attention to. Italy, Hungary, France you name it are all starting to form their own nationalist movement. We believe in taking care of our own first. Help self before helping others. America is not an empire, we do not need protectorates, we need partners. It's time Canada, Mexico, NATO allies start stepping up. If you globalist want to maintain this alliance then start chipping in your fair share, don't expect America to contribute the greatest blood and treasure. -
Yo our tweeter in chief just warned Iran

Lets be honest here, we've been stealing canadians too, leading to massive a brain drain. We will see how the new negotiation play out.
