  1. All doctors and experts I have heard on the subject have said the risks of getting Covid and the risks of serious illness or death from Covid are far greater than the risk from taking the vaccine. The risk of a bad reaction from the vaccine are extremely low. I have already explained all that and it has been repeated over and over on the media. So I repeat the chances of harm from not taking the vaccine are far greater than the chances of harm from the vaccine. The only chance of getting out of this pandemic in the reasonably near future is if enough people get vaccinated. We should all do our part.
  2. Just saw on the news that 85% of adults in Prince Rupert, BC have been vaccinated and the number of new Covid cases has dropped from a significant number to just 3 cases in a one week period from April 11 to 17th. This comes after the area reported 27 new cases in the previous week, and 72 new cases in the week before that. This is a tremendous success demonstrating the wisdom of getting vaccinated for the safety of everyone in the community.
  3. I gave just the facts which are widely reported by doctors and health experts. Video reports showing the situation in India don't lie. Dr. Alex Wong, infectious diseases physician and researcher is just commenting now on CBC and said the risk from AZ vaccine is far less than not getting vaccinated and catching a Covid variant, which is very contagious. Listen to the experts and get vaccinated asap.
  4. Very rare that anyone was injured or died from the vaccine. One in quarter of a million or one in hundreds of thousands. Your chances of dying from Covid or being seriously harmed from Covid are far greater. Far greater chance of harm from a motor vehicle accident, from illness, cancer, heart attack from taking medications, falling down, bicycle accident, etc. etc. We are doing our duty to protect ourselves and everyone else by getting vaccinated and helping defeat the pandemic. Incidentally, the health care system is collapsing in some places like India and they are cremating people everywhere. I heard on the news today they have learned how a few rare cases get blood clots and it sounds like they are able to treat those people in most cases. If you get a headache, pain in chest, or stomach after being vaccinated, see a doctor and see about being treated for a rare blood clot. But that is highly unlikely. Ontario is in crisis mode with overload of Covid patients and cancer patients in need of life saving surgery are being put on hold. Some people with Covid are starting to die at home because more are opting to stay home instead of going to a hospital, which is not a good idea. Many require oxygen to have a chance to survive.
  5. Life is a continuous series of risks. Many things we do involve risks. Simply going for a walk involves risks. We could get hit by a car when we cross a street. We could have serious illness or disease. Some activities are high risk. Some people like to parachute or climb cliffs for sport. Others like to hike alone. One man was followed by a cougar for nearly an hour this past week but managed to chase it away with a big stick. He was fortunate. Vaccination entails a very small risk, but the risk of not getting vaccinated is many times greater because Covid is extremely contagious and deadly for some people. Even if one survives it, it often causes serious bodily harm to parts of the body. If we don't get vaccinated we are also contributing to the continuation of the pandemic which could kill other people because unless enough people get vaccinated in a community or country, we will not be able to develop herd immunity. So the answer is get vaccinated as soon as possible.
  6. You would be surprised what I know about science. I know a number of things like the big bang and evolution are purely speculation and unproven. Science does not claim to have all the answers and never did make such a claim. When it comes to the origin of the universe, there is absolutely no evidence or proof that God did not create it ten or fifteen thousand years ago, with an apparent age built it. Many of the greatest scientists in history believed in God. They could see the evidence of God's creation all around them and just accepted it.
  7. Jesus said "And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." John 8:32 KJB When I say I already know the truth, I am referring to the basic truth according to the Bible, and because of that, Jesus said I am free. "28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation." Hebrews 9:28 KJB I am not judged and going to hell, but I am on the way to heaven. Jesus promised this. So your claim is contrary to what Jesus said and is false.
  8. Trudeau just claimed "scientists say we face an EXISTENTIAL threat". This is an outrageously false statement and extreme fear mongering and alarmism. I seriously doubt many scientists would make a statement like that which means human life will end (due to climate change). Thousands of scientists do not even believe in man-made climate change. They would be shocked that a leader of a developed western country would make a claim that our existence is threatened by climate change. Climate has always changed and is simply a natural process as part of God's creation. Tragic for Canadians that we have political leaders who put the radical climate change agenda above the well being of Canadians and are destroying the prosperity and jobs of Canadians and are not willing to study and read opposing points of view. After the economy and well-being Canadians has been slashed (sacrifice they call it) and at some point they see that China, Russia, and much of the rest of the world is just carrying on as normal and the climate will not be controlled by mankind.
  9. Cut off travel from India now. This should have been done over a year ago along with all air travel from the rest of the world.
  10. I don't know how to turn the italics off. Doesn't seem to be a way. The BC NDP (Marxist leaning) is now imposing travel restrictions on BC citizens and not allowing them to travel from one health region to another for unnecessary travel, whatever that is. They are planning random police roadblocks/check points to question travelers to see what their reason for travel is. This sounds like it may be contrary to the Charter of Rights. But that is how Canadian provincial governments and the federal government operate; they do what they wish without regard to the Charter of Rights, and will only stop if enough political pressure is put on them or someone wins a Charter challenge in a court. This means the existence of Charter rights is somewhat questionable.
  11. Let's be honest; you were the one who said "So lets get specific. We could do this same exercise for many of the immoral actions of God in the bible, but lets stick with slavery. " Stating the the actions of God are immoral is about as demonic and evil a comment as one could make. More likely it demonstrates you have no idea of who God is or what you are talking about.
  12. I have explained my point of view in great length. It is you who responded with two or three sentences and claim I have not understood other perspectives. I can only go by what you say. I have watched an hour or more of actual debate between Stephen Hawking re his God Delusion book and a Christian apologetics professor when they discussed the subject in fairly great depth. If you want you can watch their debate on youtube. I don't agree with all TV evangelists or preachers. You seem to be assuming I agree with everything certain people like Ken Ham and Eric Hovind and Ray Comfort preach. In fact, I don't even recall listening to anything they have said. The mistake you make is assuming every TV evangelist is speaking the absolute truth and is speaking for what I believe. You couldn't be more wrong. Of course there are scammers on religious TV programs just as there are scammers in politics and every other field of life. You won't be able to learn anything if you do not open your mind and accept the fact you may not have all the answers. I don't have all the answers, but I have read and studied things for decades and came to several reasonable conclusions long ago. One basic principle the Bible teaches and it is easily observed is all people are sinners. Romans 3:23 makes this clear. So it is reasonable to assume everyone is under some degree of demonic influence or degree of evil. There is nobody who is perfect whoever walked on earth except God's Son Jesus. The Bible makes it clear, the world is a lost and fallen place because of the Fall of Man through Adam and Eve. I am always open to helping anyone see the truth or pointing them in the right direction if they are open-minded enough. But that is the key. If you have another perspective, I am open to reading it. But what is it based upon. A belief system must have some basis or it could be imaginary or false.
  13. I am not sure why there is no delete key for a posting. I hit the wrong key and a reply to someone came up as a general posting and I can't delete it.
  14. Nobody gives their occupations and education in order to comment on here. You live in some kind of strange alternate reality. I have given you lots of reason to explain my beliefs. You don't seem to accept the most basic reality. Your idea of a world where everyone is entitled to other people's property and wealth is a dark, evil criminal ideology which would lead to destruction and anarchy. A world without law and order , private property rights, and respect for individual rights is a kind of hell. That's the way it is in Communist countries and other brutal dictatorships. Maybe because of an addiction you cannot work or earn a living and think a Socialist type system would take care of you and provide whatever it is you are addicted to. If you were in N. Korea, China, or many other places, they would probably just lock you up or euthanize you. They would have no mercy. Communist systems or hybrid Communist type government-controlled capitalist systems (as China and Russia now) do not have such things as compassion or mercy for individuals. They are still authoritarian systems that do not care for individuals except those in the upper ranks of the party. It is another myth to think they care for the individual. They just eliminate anyone they think is a trouble maker or anyone who doesn't fall in line. Do you drink from morning to night? That might be a big part of the problem. You need to get help. You could start by pouring the liquor supply down the drain right now. God is a clear reality and is demonstrated by the complex and beauty in the creation. His revelation in the written word is demonstrated by the many supernatural events recorded by the many people who observed them. Such as his resurrection. There is still hope but you must make some attempt to get help. Maybe a good local evangelical minister or elder could help.
  15. NDP leader Jagmeet Singh is on CBC at the moment where he mentioned his favourite line, the " ultra rich". He said some time back that the Communist revolution in Cuba lifted the people up, an obvious support of Communist revolutions. The guy proves himself to be a Communist sympathizer, yet he is a leader of the third political party in Canada. There are countless examples proving Canada is moving toward Marxism or Communism. The "ultra rich" line is a common phrase of Marxists who believe they have a right to other people's property. Canadians are continually being brainwashed into thinking they are entitled to additional social programs from government. Singh is just talking now about some of the things he says they are going to fight for. He continually demands more social programs from government and many Canadians swallow this and believe government, translated taxpayers, must provide them every imaginable program and support that exists. That includes basic guaranteed income, housing, etc. etc. Many do not believe they need to work and earn things for themselves in Canada but they believe that government should take care of them from cradle to grave, like crippled babies they are.
  16. America was fighting to defend freedom in the west in proxy wars in N. Korea, Vietnam, etc. It was your freedom also that they were fighting for during the cold war with Communist USSR. In Iraq they were fighting against ISIS extremists. In Afghanistan, NATO, including Canada, the UK, and U.S.A were fighting Al Qaida jihadist extremists who attacked America on 9-11 and killed over 3,000 people. You need to learn something about world affairs and the ongoing struggle between Communist Russia, China, and the west, as well as radical Islam. The new cold war will be between America and it's allies on one side and Russia and China on the other. That's just the way the world is. You either defend your side or be subdued and taken over in the world. Stop imbibing Communist propaganda for a start.
  17. Yep, the puppets who followed Lenin, Stalin, and Mao murdered tens of millions of people at their orders and leadership.
  18. You know I think your vision is very limited. You need to broaden your knowledge about the universe and include things that are foreign to you in the past, such as how the universe came to be. Many famous scientists believe that God exists and created the universe. It might shake your belief system and trust in left wing liberalism, but the truth is what matters.
  19. Ten famous scientists who believed in God: "Often at times, when you think of Scientists and religion you don't think of them in the same spectrum. However, history shows us that not all scientists are atheist and not all scientists are theist. And it is the same today. Some of the renowned scientists believe in God. Charles Darwin is famous for his work on the theory of evolution. Although later in Charles life he have conflicts in Christianity particularly in regards to "problem of evil". Despite the struggle, in his a letter to John Fordyce, 7th May, 1879 he wrote "I have never been an atheist in the sense of denying the existence of a God." And in 1956, Albert Einstein stated "Science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind" published in Ideas and Opinions. New York: Citadel Press, p. 26. In this article we will look briefly at 10 famous christian scientists that impact the world and the reasons why they believe God exists. 1. Nicholas Copernicus (1473-1543) Copernicus was a famous astronomer who lived and worked in Poland. He was the first scientist to propose the first-ever system based on mathematics that planets revolve around the sun. After studying at several universities in Europe, he was made a Canon of the Roman Catholic Church, in the year of 1497. He presented his innovative system for the first time in 1533, in the Vatican gardens in the presence of Pope Clement VII who not only approved the idea but advised the great scientist to publish it as well. Copernicus mentioned God many times in his treatises and did not find his new system contradicting the Bible in any way. 2. Sir Francis Bacon (1561-1627) Bacon was an English philosopher and was the founder of the scientific method of research that is based purely on inductive reasoning and experimentation. In his work De Interpretatione Naturae Prooemium, he stated that among other things his goal was to serve the church. He opined that atheism was caused by a lack of depth in philosophy, while profundity in philosophy turns the mind of men towards religion. Besides, when the chain of natural phenomena was seen as something unified and duly interconnected, it will definitely lead to Deity and Providence. 3. Johannes Kepler (1571-1630) Kepler was a bright astronomer and mathematician. His early work was on the nature of light, and then he went on to establish a sun-centered planetary system. He was an extremely devout and sincere Lutheran and his treatises astronomy in which he postulated that all heavenly bodies and space symbolized the Trinity. Strangely he was not persecuted for the frank affirmation of his sun-centered system. 4. Galileo Galilei (1564-1642) The great Italian astronomer Galileo published his contentious work concerning the solar system, in 1633. This brought him into serious conflict with the Roman Catholic Church. Later, he was put on trial and was banned from teaching his sun-centered planetary system. In spite of these, Galileo explicitly stated that the Bible can never go wrong, and considered his system a mere alternate version of the Holy Bible. ADVERTISING 5. Rene Descartes (1596-1650) Descartes, the well known French scientist, philosopher, and mathematician have been hailed as the father of contemporary philosophy. His academic studies left him with a deep dissatisfaction of the philosophy, he had studied until then. He was a devout Roman Catholic, and his deep faith lasted till his dying day. He also tried to establish that the reality of God as irrefutable, for without whose existence mankind would be deceived by their experiences as they cannot trust their logical thinking and five senses. This made God the core of his entire philosophy. He also wanted his philosophy to be accepted as part of regular Roman Catholic teaching. Although Descartes was the main figure in the founding of scientific methodology, God was central to his system as he was extremely pious. 6. Blaise Pascal (1623-1662) Blaise Pascal was a French physicist, mathematician, writer, inventor as well as a theologian. He published a mathematical treatise on projective geometry as also laid the foundation for the theory of probability. He also invented a mechanical calculator and laid down the principles of air pressure and vacuum. A devout Roman Catholic, he had a vision of God in 1654 an event that transformed him from a scientist into a theologian and soon published his theological work, titled Lettres Provinciales. Another such work entitled Penses was essentially a justification of Christianity. 7. Isaac Newton (1642-1727) Sir Isaac Newton, the noted English scientist is an acknowledged genius and innovator in the fields of mathematics, mechanics, and optics. He considered numbers and mathematics the core of his entire science which included chemistry too. However, few people know that he was deeply religious and considered numbers as the path to the understanding of God's design for human history as envisaged in the Bible. Newton did substantial work in the field of biblical numerology. To him, physics is a system in which God was indispensable to the completeness of space. According to him, the sun, comets, and planets belonged to the most harmonious system which could continue only with the guidance and authority of an omnipotent and intelligent being. 8. Robert Boyle (1791-1867) Robert Boyle was a founder member of the prestigious Royal Society and his Boyle's Law on gases laid the groundwork on the topic. chemistry. As a pious Protestant, he was extremely interested in the promotion of Christianity overseas, and to this end paid for the translation and publication of the New Testament into Turkish and Irish. According to him, the study of nature was the core of his spiritual duty. He often criticized the atheists of his day. 9. Max Planck (1858-1947) Planck the famous exponent of the quantum theory, revolutionized man's understanding of both the atomic as well as the sub-atomic fields. In a lecture he delivered in 1937, he professed that God is omnipresent and the sanctity of the incomprehensible Godhead is expressed by the godliness of symbols. He thought that atheists gave undue importance to mere symbols. Planck believed in an omniscient omnipotent God, although not a personal divinity. Along with science, religion waged an untiring war against dogmatism, skepticism, superstition, and unbelief with the battle cry of "toward God." 10. Albert Einstein (1879-1955) Albert Einstein is the best known and most highly respected scientist of modern times. He has revolutionized our perceptions of time, space, gravity, as also the way matter is converted into energy through his famous formula E=mc2. He never believed in a personal God, but held that the universe was created. In fact, he wanted to find out just how the universe was created by God. Interestingly, he was quite uninterested in any phenomenon but wanted to know God's thoughts, the rest being mere details. His pithy comment on the uncertainty principle was God doesn't play dice. His famous saying "Science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind," truly reflects his idea of the nature of God. unquote 10 Famous Scientists Who Believe That God Exists | Science Times I do not know how many or what percentage of scientists today believe in God. I use a search engine to find out a lot of things. There is a common misconception that science and God or science and the Bible are at odds, but this is not correct. A little study will show that science and the Bible can both be believed. There are varying opinions about what constitutes genuine science and what does not. Numbers or percentages of groups are not a determining factor in what is truth. This has been proven over and over in history. Most people once believed the earth was flat. Science has often changed it's theories as new information was discovered. Even in this modern age of the 21st century, a whole lot is not known about things like the Coronavirus and recommendations about how to deal with it is changing frequently. Science clearly does not have all the answers. That might surprise many people who genuinely believe anything that some scientists say must be infallibly true. Facebook
  20. Many scientists believe in God and also believe in genuine science. People can believe in God and legitimate science. Your problem is you have blinders on and can't see the real world, which was not a cosmic accident.
  21. When you say scientists, you mean some scientists. There are thousands of scientists who disagree with the global warming or climate change activists. There is absolutely no proof that man is the cause of climate change or excessive global warming. You will have to do some studying to read the opposing side of the debate if you are going to have an informed opinion. I am not going to post the whole article here because this is not a debate about climate change. We have gone through that before. But if you want to you can read it at this link. A biblical and scientific approach to climate change - creation.com
  22. Of course anyone would oppose dumping plastic in the ocean and would oppose doing other things that harm the environment. There is difference between that and what you and liberals, and environmental radicals are claiming. Big difference between pollution that you can see and know is caused by people and the climate change which has no proof it is caused by man. God did give us intelligence and the responsibility to take of the earth in things that we clearly can control, such as not dumping our plastics and garbage in the oceans and rivers. But you still can't make the leap to claim that we are causing the climate to get too hot. That is a ludicrous claim. Liberals believe it because they have been trained to believe whatever their leaders and the globalist liberals/Marxists tell them. They are not particularly believers in a God who created the earth and everything in it and controls the climate. They distrust man and think like environmentalists who blame man for everything that is happening. If they could they would blame man for using too much oxygen in the air we breath and put a tax on it. I don't trust the Conservative Party. They have gone down the drain and become more like liberals. There is no choice for the voters today. Politics is corrupt and destroying our country.
  23. Man-made climate change is a fraud and scam. The argument in favour of it is very subjective and has never been proven. It can't be proven because it is impossible to replicate in an experiment. It boils down to speculation. People who don't believe in God tend to blame man for everything that happens, including the weather and climate. It is ridiculous. Trudeau, liberals, and left tend to believe man is responsible for everything and believe man can control everything. They live in la la land. They trust the Marxist U.N. and the global liberal elites who pushed this man-made climate change fraud on everyone. But not everyone is buying it. It already has been proven that it is a political scam more than science.
  24. Trudeau attempted to slip 900 million dollars of taxpayer's money to his friends in WE charity. That' almost a billion dollars. That is like a banana republic where dictators are in it for themselves. Could we be heading into being some kind of Communist/Marxist/banana republic dictatorship? Canada is a federation of provinces. Trudeau's way is to dictate to the provinces. Trudeau's imposition of carbon taxes on provinces is a prime example of his way of governing Canada. He operates like some kind of Marxist dictator. A democratic leader would not be dictating things but would be listening to provinces and cooperating with them.
