In many NDP and Liberal minds, First Nations means exactly what it says, they should come first. That is NDP -Liberal ideology. You don't have to believe me. Just listen to the frequent comments by many NDP and Liberal politicians. There is ongoing evidence to show they actually believe FNs should be treated as first class citizens and everyone else as second class citizens. This is not "reconciliation" whatever that is supposed to mean. It is the NDP-Liberal ideology that is perverted. How about treating everyone the same. One law and one justice system the same for all Canadians? Ever thought of that?

Thanks for revealing your lack of empathy for other people and lack of understanding of relevant issues. What I talked about is absolutely related to Canada becoming a failed state and completely out of control. Yes the leaders of Canada are handing our country over to the globalists, the U.N. being a prime example and the ideological perversions of the liberals and left to virtue signal. They are doing more harm than good in their war against what they call is systemic racism, basically a phony issue.

Two years ago, the BC NDP appointed Ellen Turpel-LaFond to lead a special inquiry to look into discrimination against FN in the BC health care system. Turpel-Lafond has claimed she is of Cree native descent for decades and has been awarded the Order of Canada and other recognitions. Was made a judge I believe and fought for FNs. The CBC did an investigation recently and questions her claim of native ancestry. You can Google it and see the evidence the CBC published questioning her ancestry. Her claim is in question. CBC's article shows a newspaper clipping when it shows an old newspaper article that gives the announcement of the birth of her father and he appears to be a non-native. I can't remember the name offhand, but you can Google it. Also they found a baptismal record of her father showing his name and birthdate which corresponds with the news article I believe. I also have reason to believe the health care system in BC in at least one hospital in one case triaged a FN patient coming into the emergency department ahead of my wife. He came in and waited only for about 20 minutes before being treated while we waited for six hours even though he did not appear to be in any pain or urgency and my wife was in pain. Makes me wonder if the appointment of this woman to investigate discrimination of FN in the health care system has resulted in them giving preferential treatment to FN in the emergency department when they are triaging patients. The problem with this there is no way of knowing what the truth is because the ER has the right to triage patients according to their own definition or priority and the information about individual patients would be confidential. So there is no way of questioning it. If they triage people because they are FN ahead of non-FN that is wrong but it is impossible to question because nobody has a right to question how they triage patients.

The B.C. NDP government adopted UNDRIP and have already started changing things to give more power to aboriginals. We don't know what the plan is or the end game. We see the results of the TRC recommendations in many ways. The demands for it's implementation are only beginning by native rights groups and individuals. The TRC, UNDRIP have given encouragement to the extremists and terrorist who are committing criminal acts to try to stop the Coastal Gaslink pipeline project in northwest B.C. All these things only encourage radicals and others into thinking they actually own the country. They actually believe they have the right to approve natural resource development because the TRC and UNDRIP says things like that.

Perhaps there is some truth with the claim that Canada is a post-national state. In many ways we seem to belong to the United Nations. Examples such as open border that welcomes illegal migrants, adoption of UNDRIP by governments in Canada without knowing what it means and how it will impact this country. If you read UNDRIP carefully and read the Truth and Reconciliation Commission report and calls to action you will find it means basically handing Canada over to aboriginals. Trudeau and the left are the leading the war in the world against the phony issue of man-made climate change. This is costing Canadians a lot of money and driving the price up of everything and it may get far worse as they plan to increase the price to $200 per ton for CO2 emissions, which will make the carbon taxes far higher.

I posted under the U.S. page that Biden has done 125 things to reduce the American production of oil and gas and thereby is hurting the consumers. This is one reason why diesel prices have gone up. It is Biden and Democrats crusade against climate change that is driving it up and the fact OPEC cut back on oil production by several hundred million barrels of oil. Biden is making things worse for the U.S. and Canada. Canada suffers incredibly high prices for fuel, energy, food, and everything else and isn't helped by the Biden administration. Trudeau of course is a big part of the problem too. If Trudeau had not killed the northern gateway pepeline and energy east pipeline and done other bad things to the energy industry, we might have much more oil and gas production in Canada. I hope Democrats really take a beating in today's election. It will make it more difficult for Biden to push his agenda through and that's a good thing. Will be watching the election results today and in the coming days.

Since OPEC reduced the world supply of oil by hundreds of millions of barrels, Biden should be taking steps to increase production, not reduce it. It is true the world supply is likely what determines the price, but if OPEC is cutting back, Biden should not be reducing production but he should be greatly increasing production to compensate for what OPEC is doing. Not trying to fight climate change and hurting the American people.

We all know one of Biden's central driving policies to fight climate change. That is obviously what is behind Biden's thinking. He is an old man who embraces the simplistic solutions of Greta Thunberg and radical environmentalists and rejects realty of the need for as much energy production as possible. The same thing is happening in other countries. Europe and the UK is suffering. They are on a mission to reduce or eliminate fossil fuels and are wrecking the economy of the world in that quest. Then why is the price of gas through the roof in America and Canada. In B.C. we pay the highest gas price in north America at about $1.90 or $2.00 per litre? It varies up and down around the two dollar range. That equates to a a very high price per U.S. gallon too. B.C. gets it's gas from Washington State just across the border. Remember the cost of something is primarily determined by supply and demand. Biden has taken many actions that limit the growth of production of oil and gas. That reduces the potential supply. When you reduce the supply you increase the demand which in turn drives the price up. The price in north America for gas is determined by the amount being produced and if the demand outpaces the supply the price goes up. That is exactly what has been happening. The Biden administration openly admits they are on a course to fight climate change and build a "green economy". There is the reason. To claim oil production is near record levels is not reasonable. Obviously it is not meeting the demand or the price would not have increased to high so fast. No, it is Biden's war on climate change and his attempts to reduce gas production that is the problem. You can't have it both ways. The Democrats like the Liberals/NDP in Canda live in an alternate reality. They think they can fight climate change by all their regulations against the energy industry but they are harming the population by driving up the price of energy for home heating and the cost of gas/oil for transportation and everything else. The population is not dumb. Many people know what is going on.

Why are house prices so high in Canada? Maybe you can find out and tell me. Canada has one of the largest geographical areas for a small population in the world. The number of square kilometers per person is huge, yet millions cannot afford a home. There are obviously serious problems in our country at all levels of government that have led to this situation of a small home on a city lot costing over a million dollars in the major cities. That leads to the question is Canada heading in the direction of becoming a "failed state" where few people can afford to buy a home? Yet there are millions of square kilometers of land sitting out there with nothing on them. I am not sure the statement we are a civilized society where people can live in peace together really describes Canada in a full way. It may be a bit of an over simplification and ignore some issues that exist. Compared to many other countries, we are one of the best in the world though. However, depending on the policies of government and depending on a number of factors, we could become a troubled country in the future with far more serious problems. There is no guarantee which direction Canada will go. There are serious potential problems in the world that could have serious effects on Canada. I listed some of the problems in the opening post related to the failing health care system, extreme housing prices, rising crime in some towns and cities where criminals are caught and released constantly, homelessness and people living in tents on the streets, a high number of drug deaths in B.C. per month, etc. Where are the solutions? We also have an aging population and so the question must be asked: how is the government going to pay for old age pensions, CPP, and where will the people get the money to afford to pay the high rent and cost of living as prices rise rapidly? Where will the aging population live? Not everyone has a good job with a good pension plan.

1. I never said there were no-go zones in Canada yet. You missed the point. I said it is happening in cities in Europe. The point is it is happening in places where large populations are built up in certain tight areas. There is nothing to prevent that from happening in Canada in the future as the Muslim population grows larger. Do you have any reason why it is happening in Europe but would not happen here in the future? Of course not, because if the exact same situation develops, that is, a large population of Muslim develops in certain neighbourhoods or concentrations in certain cities, there is no reason to believe it would not happen in Canada as well. You just close your eyes to it and won't accept it as evidence of God being the Creator. It is simple logic. Older immigrants say above 40 or 50 are likely more conservative and not as likely to change to become more militant and extremist. It makes sense that their children when they get into their teens or twenties might take the radical parts of the Quran more seriously and become more ideological and aggressive militants. If you look at the terrorist attacks in France and the UK you will probably find the terrorists are generally in the younger age bracket below 30 or 40. Some who have criminal records and mental problems seem to lean toward becoming radical Islamists. Perhaps they think being a radical will win them favour with Allah and earn them 70 virgins in the next life. In fact I believe there is a prison in England which has many radical Islamists in the prison and it is considered dangerous if you are an inmate there and are not one of them. You will likely find those prisoners are in the younger age bracket.

The problem is Islam itself. Check the article I posted above on no-go zones in Europe. One report says Islamic descendants of immigrants have been found in some cases to become more extremist or terrorist than the parents who immigrated. Reports are that some no-go zones are unable to receive police, fire, ambulance and other services because of the danger from extremists in the no-go zones. They can basically become areas that governments lose control of and become ungovernable.

Yes, the government (Libs and NDP) have figured out ways to exploit and play on people's fears and desires in order to get re-elected. The system is built to exploit people for votes. Even the immigration system is designed to bring in the votes for liberals. Politicians know how to make empty promises to get elected. Much of the west is in the same mess. Who would have believed even 30 years ago that climate change would be the big issue it is and used for votes? Who would have believed that western politicians would be meeting in Egypt now and making promises to compensate the third world for climate change and weather patterns?

I see several serious negatives as a result of bringing in such a huge number of immigrants. 1. Canada is already in a serious housing shortage. Where will these new immigrants be housed and who will pay for it since rent is out of sight. 2. Will bringing in a huge number of immigrants actually cost the taxpayers a fortune to provide income support they will need. 3. How will bringing in a massive number of people from third world Islamic countries impact society? Many people in the third world do not understand our fundamental freedoms like freedom of expression, freedom of the press, freedom of religion and they are used to authorities denying such freedom to people who do not agree with their religion as in Islamic republics. 4. What countries exactly are they planning to bring them from? Will they be coming from failed states like Haiti, Somalia, Uganda, Nigeria, the middle east, Mexico? Will they be people who oppose our system and prefer a Socialist or failing liberal system? Will they be primarily more liberal and left supporters? The list of failures of the Liberal government in almost every area is long. There are many countries where people do not respect human life and have no law and order, such as Haiti, African countries, and other places. We see the rampant shootings in Toronto for years now. 5. How will it affect the already failing health care system? 6. Many cities and towns are already overwhelmed with homeless people living in tents on the streets and rampant crime as a result. The criminal justice system is a revolving door and many criminals are arrested and immediately released back onto the street. This is a major issue in B.C. right now. It would make sense to house these people before bringing in more people. How will this amount of immigration effect this situation? In spite of its critics, the Notwithstanding Clause is part of the Constitution and is therefore perfectly legitimate. What is needed is mandatory or compulsory binding arbitration instead of the strike option in labour disputes, particularly in services considered as essential by the public. But just because a union makes outrageous contract demands does not mean an arbitration board should go halfway between the employer and union demands. We know that would not make any sense at all. All unions will make outrageous, unrealistic demands. They need an arbitration board that will look at all the economic factors and determine what a reasonable contract would look like. But there should be no strikes in essential services such as the education system, fire, police, health care, transportation. etc. Now the bus drivers are getting ready to strike in Ontario. This is an essential service for millions of people who rely on it to go to work, school, shopping, etc.

You just don't accept facts. 3. lslam poses a threat everywhere in the world. As numbers of a group increase, they can also become more militant. It is the core beliefs that do not accept our fundamental freedoms such as freedom of religion, freedom of expression and freedom of the press that should be a concern as well. Islamic republics have laws against blasphemy and the punishment is the death sentence. There is also female genital mutilation in some countries that should also tell you something about it.
