I recall...exactly...the weapon pulled on me during the hold-up. Aimed right at my face...hard not to. It was a silver .45 Colt 1911 with a black grip. Stolen from a collector, obviously. Nice gun. No...you can't tell if it is loaded like with a revolver. But the hammer was back...

I have no trouble recalling the weapon that was fired at me as I prepared to remove transport the US ambassador from the compound in Mogadishu. AK 47 it was.

I suspect the 1.2 mil to load two Cadiallacs in a C-17 and fly them across the pond to drive Harper around was more less to do with security as much as show. I don't really like sausages truth to tell. Hope they were good.

Gates has pleaded guilty and I bet his bargain will put more of the focus on Manafort, and then his plea will move things up the ladder yet again. Mueller inches closer to the big boy. I reckon he may be heading for obstruction instead of collusion, which of course we know didn't happen.

How about the idea of an alternate parade as well with a float hosting a big ballon Trump with really small hands. Let's see who draws the most crowds.

A military parade does not showcase one man's ego, but is a display of power to those enemies who only understand the most primitive form of communication, in order to act as a deterrent. Better a parade than a war.
