Women in Canada have reproductive rights. Which means they can opt for an abortion if they so choose. A church group for instance who has opposing views would be in contradiction of charter rights if they tried to use employment as a lever to thwart those rights.

Except in this case you are applying for government funding. Can you imagine the backlash if Ottawa provided funding to a church group who hired people and then forced them to support their tenets even though they be unconstitutional? One has to cover the bases.
