  1. I imagine for the same reasons Muslim actions don't get discussed to the same degree that Western terror attacks get discussed in Muslim countries. Totally agree with you there. LOL They don't always translate well. I once tried to repeat a Spanish joke to English-only friends (which I thought was hilarious) and it fell flat. Something got lost in the translation.......
  2. OK, I was hoping we could discuss your views rationally, because I agree with you that the West is not blameless. But right off the bat, you deny there are any issues in or with Islam. Disappointing.
  3. Thank you for the thoughtful reply. I feel the same as you with the exception that I don't think that discussing what's going on in Islam right now means that we are all completely unaware or agree with things the West has done. I just feel it should be discussed as its own topic and not used to distract from or justify Islamic terrorism, which is what H. E. does. He's been invited quite a few times to start a topic on it, but chooses instead to keep popping it into unrelated discussions like some kind of rabid whack-a-mole. I hope this makes sense, as I apparently have a very poor grasp of the English language.
  4. You've been invited to start a thread on what you want to discuss many times now, rather than continue to derail every other thread.......if we're "petrified" of anything here, it's having comments deleted by mods for being off-topic. LOL
  5. FYI: I speak, read and write 3 languages.
  6. Both Betsy and I pointed out to you with quotes where Altai said that very thing. You supported her comments by railing about how horrible Western society is and deserving of every terrorist attack that happens, thereby implying that you agree with him/her/them. This is the last time I'm going to address your nonsensical comments.
  7. You're the only one to reply to the question! I'm giving you 1000 bonus points.
  8. **sigh** I'm not advocating ripping up Qurans or burning flags. I'm asking what the implications would be if we start giving books, ideas and beliefs the same human rights we give actual human beings. Because the topic of this thread is that the Quran has been "attacked" and the OP says that people who attack the Quran should be jailed and kept under surveilance.
  9. I understand your point. I've just been wondering how wanting book-ripper-uppers jailed and kept under surveilance and giving books the same rights as human beings would impact other things. For instance, the Hebdo cartoon was viewed as an act of violence towards Muslims and so the killings for drawing it have been justified. Where do you draw the line? Or are you agreeing with Altai and Hot Enough that ripping up a Quran is the same as murdering?
  10. Or it could be a non-violent way of expressing great frustration.
  11. Why do you keep asking people questions about something specific, then when they answer your specific question, you name-call and accuse them of ignoring some other issue that was not even being talked about? You are making no sense, and are completely all over the map. I'll ask the same as Betsy asked you, Are you okay? Because you don't seem to be okay.....
  12. Yes, I saw it. She does that very often - makes some kind of ridiculously insane comment like how great it would be if we could just hack off people's limbs and then when people call her on it, she says Oh I just meant a superficial cut, a scratch, really.
  13. Wonderful! Start your thread! No, I believe it was YOU who wanted to discuss syntax issues. Again, are you on crack? Or just so blindly in love with Islam and so filled with hatred for the West that you can't discuss anything properly?
  14. Are you on crack? Nearly everyone here is on her "ignore list". Why are you?
  15. Here's an idea: Why don't you start a thread about that instead of posting the same comment 147 times on random threads?
  16. Yes, yes....what is this?..... The 147th time you've posted the exact same comment on every thread, no matter what the thread is about. We get it. You think Islam is innocent and peaceful and Western society is the Devil.
  17. I'm just not interested in supporting extreme Islam, as you are. Knock yourself out, sweetie.
  18. Mmmm....actually she did equate them: I understand it's difficult to have reading comprehension when you only see what you want to see and are blindly loyal to extreme Islam. . Are you kidding me? A possible suspect in what? You seriously want a person who rips up a Quran to be held in prison? Good luck with the whole world domination thing......
  19. I feel that equating ripping up a Quran with a mass murderer is illogical. That's why I'm surprised you agree with the premise. Hmmm....let me try again: Altai has said that ripping up a Quran is the equivalent of murdering almost 100 people, as Anders Breivik did. He/She/They do not explain how the two (I had typed the number "2" for brevity, but since you are confused, I will clarify it by typing the word "two") can possibly be likened. I asked for clarification and you replied with some comments about 9/11 and other random unsubstantiated comments. Yes, I am. I think a lot of people are getting very frustrated with Islamic extremeists running around the planet killing people. This has occured almost daily since 9/11. You obviously feel that terrorism by Muslims is completely justified and are here to defend it in every comment you make. I disagree.
  20. Ripping apart a Quran may be "disrespectful" (as would ripping apart a Bible, yes? Or is that different for you?) but it is hardly "discrimination."
  21. I see you agree with Altai that if a person rips up a Quran, they are exactly the same as a mass murderer. You still have not explained how the 2 relate. In fact, your comment has absolutely nothing to do with any of my questions.
  22. Still have yet to see a convincing argument for why the Quran should have the same rights as a human being and special protection afforded it by the law. Still have yet to see how ripping up a book shows a person's "tendency towards violence" and how/why we can/should rehabilitate book-ripper-uppers. (Amazing, too, that Islam's treatment and attitude towards women is defended here ad nauseum as being super-important to their culture, but it is repeatedly denied that the treatment and attitude towards women has anything to do with Islam's "tendencies towards violence" towards females.....) Still have yet to see how ripping up a book = murdering almost a hundred people in cold blood. Sorry, but I need more than just "Altai says so." (Don't you hate it when kafirs don't just shut up and submit?)
  23. I stand corrected. This whole thread is premised on the belief that the Quran is, for some reason, entitled to rights like a human being and that if it is "attacked", then heads should roll - literally. If that belief is wrong, this whole thread is pointless.
  24. And if the Quran was attacked....So what? Human beings have rights and are entitled to respect. Since when do we extend that right to books, ideas or beliefs?
  25. What part of "Public Schools" don't you understand? Public = open to all persons, for the community as a whole, the common interest being Education Schools = Not churches or mosques
