  1. Go cry to Charles. Again.
  2. Wow, try to follow. Perhaps if you take off your hate-goggles you can think more clearly. YOU claimed the 4 day conference "focused" on terrorism, intolerance and bigotry in Islam When I said, "Weird that they would have a conference on something you claim barely exists" To which THE OTHER APOLOGIST said, it was only about an hour they focused on that. Make up your minds. You demand absolute precision, articulateness and explicitness from everyone else in their comments. Practice what you screech.
  3. Knock it off, you surely cannot be this stupid. I didn't deny any effort to reform. I pointed out that they just had a 4 day conference on something YOU claim barely exists in Islam and insist that no one in the world should be concerned about.
  4. You're probably an apologist for Islam who thinks slinging Lying accusations like the above is going to get you somewhere.
  5. Really? Because your fellow apologist said this: You guys should get together and coordinate your lies first.
  6. You cannot be serious about this. It's these kinds of statements that have gotten Dia in trouble here - complete denial that women are killed in Islam. Because nobody is denying that certain things happen in other groups. It's only Islam that you and your fellow apologists completely deny what's going on, demand examples, then go frothing at the mouth rabid with cries of "Islamophobe!!!" "Racist!!!!" when the examples are provided to you. Maybe stop denying and demanding examples, if you don't want examples. And don't tell me you apologists don't deny, because there's an example right above - this apologist claims women are not killed and you and Dia are content to swallow that line of BS with an empty-eyed grin and then say, "Mmmmmmm,,,,, this shyte tastes great!"
  7. So weird that they would have a 4 day conference on something you claim barely exists in Muslim communities. They must be Islamophobes.
  8. Another post where you re-write what is said, giving it your own special warped slant and quibbling about words, all while ignoring and refusing to address the actual point made in the posts. I'm not responding to your insults and warped re-wordings anymore. Go cry to Charles again, while you consistently insult and name-call others.
  9. But there was a few clerics scattered through 3 of those 50 Muslim states who agreed that terrorism was bad, so.....problem solved. Why do you keep harping on it? Having thought about "interpretation" as discussed here, I wonder why Maroacc would assert that there is no interpretations in Islam, when there clearly is. I think the lack of any authoritative source of doctrinal interpretation, instead of inviting democratic and egalitarian interpretations and behaviours, has just given extremists the power of interpretation and the influence to promote their views. It could be that there are "unofficial" hierarchies within Islam - Saudi Arabia clearly leads the rest of the Muslim world in determining what is "islamic doctrine" and its done a very poor job of it. I find it difficult to believe that the majority of Muslims are rejecting what the Saudis are dishing out to them, under the weight of its influence and money. If they were rejecting Saudi interpretations of Islam, they would not be bowing to its influence and taking its money anywhere in the West (or in the world, if it's true that the vast majority of Muslims reject the violent interpretations). I don't see this happening. It's a tough sell to say that the majority of Muslims reject the violent Saudi interpretations - while at the same time, they are enjoying its political influence and accepting its money.
  10. Do you have anything to add to this topic? Or are you just here to quibble about words, like the other apologists for Islam? I'm not discussing Palestinian babies with you, or any babies really, so give it up.
  11. I won't do it because both sides are liars. How much political and religious influence do the Palestinian babies have? I imagine as much influence as Israeli babies have. Only an idiot apologist for Islam would infer that I was talking about the babies in any country. I would tell you to smarten up but it seems your religion frowns on smartening up.
  12. Yes, it is. Islam is not just a religion - it's also a political and social system. The 3 go together. It seems impossible to have just the religion in a country without the political and social fabric of a country also being affected.
  13. It seems to be a volatile area for quite a while now: China has always ruled with an iron fist and cares not about human rights when shutting down insurgents. Seems part of it, is the area wants to be an independent Muslim state within China. Neither China, nor Muslim majority countries are reliable sources of information or honest in their international dealings and both are known for iron fist dealings with their own people, including a care-less attitude towards human rights abuses. Should a million Muslims be spied on and harrassed in the name of a crackdown on Islamic terror? Probably not, since China can't be trusted to abide by basic human rights But I do agree with China's stance to have stricter control over Islamic schools and mosques. Much like the Israel-Palestine situation - neither side is completely innocent and neither side is honest, so it's hard for the rest of the world to come to one side or the other without coming to it from a point of bias. Your bias will be towards Islam. I think they're all idiots. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-china-26414014
  14. No, Try to pay attention and quit moving the goalposts. I took this incident and the Pew research to debunk your claim that there are no sects in Islam that endorse terrorism except for actual terrorist organizations. 70 clerics from 3 Islamic nations, that's wonderful. You can conclude whatever your pro-Islam, deluded brain wants to conclude. This thread is about Islam, not the Palestine situation. Only you - with your "white people hating, Islam is fabulous, don't anyone dare say anything bad about my favourite people and religion"" brain would conclude that I applaud killing children, when I'm staying on topic, while you and the other Muslim detract from the conversation by bringing up Israel when there's about 100 threads on Israel/Palestine. You're quite the looney.
  15. Yes, exactly - Palestinians. You said you did not believe any Muslim sect endorses terrorism except for actual terrorist groups. You've also read the Pew research that shows a disturbing number of Muslims living in the West who agree or partially agree with terrorism - so your belief that only terrorists endorse terrorism is based on your own delusions. There are Muslims who endorse terrorism in every sect of Islam, possibly the Ahmadiyya would be the exception, and they are hated by the rest of Islam. And I showed you that she was applauded and celebrated and rewarded by her fellow Muslims. If she was not, then feel free to prove otherwise. But there is no outrage about her release or her reward coming from Muslims in general. In general, she is a hero to Muslims. There was no link. I asked you - because you are so rabid about censoring what is discussed about Islam and Muslim behaviour - what message you think this situation sent to the Muslim world. You know, since words and actions are so important to you and you believe white people are all lemmings who follow any kind of hate speech with no thought......what is the message given here to Muslims? Do you think they will infer that terrorism is wrong to engage in or that it is okay with Islam to engage in terrorism? Or are words and actions suddenly NOT so important when it comes to Muslims?
  16. She was part of this group of terrorists who were rewarded with the trip. https://www.theblaze.com/news/2011/11/15/saudi-king-offers-all-expenses-paid-trip-to-hajj-for-released-palestinian-terrorists After hearing an initial report that "three people were killed" in the bombing, Tamimi stated: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ahlam_Tamimi There is more evidence that Muslims applauded her than that they objected. But feel free to sugar-coat, deny, minimize and excuse all of the above. We all know you will. To you - any website that tells these stories is ANTI-ISLAMIC - that's pretty telling about your pro-Islam agenda. You just admitted that if it doesn't come from a PRO-ISLAMIC website, you will discount and deny anything Muslims do. LOL......YOU expect to see this information on a PRO-ISLAMIC website???? You're even more of an idiot than you seem to be, if you think any pro-Islamic website is going to tell these stories. Of course they're not going to tell these stories. Since words and actions matter so much to you (especially white people's words and actions) - what do you think this situation tells the Muslim world about Islam's stand on terrorism? That it's wrong for Muslims to engage in terrorism and kill innocents? Or that they will be rewarded for terrorism?
  17. What you believe doesn't matter. It's the reality of what is happening that matters. The woman who blew up the pizzeria in Jerusalem (Ahlam Tamimi), killing mostly women and children - she was REWARDED by the keepers of Islam's holiest sites with a trip on a private jet to Mecca, along with other convicted terrorists. If your "belief" was correct - then there should have been outrage both for the fact that she was a terrorist and the reward she got from Islam for the bombing and killing. But there was no outrage from Muslims for either of those things. Not. One. Peep. She was celebrated. She was applauded. She was rewarded. This incident was a moment of truth test for Islam. And it failed. And so does your "belief".
  18. Bingo. It's not a "choice" then, is it.
  19. Oh yes, we've discussed this ad nauseum. The dissimilarities to nuns outweigh the similarities - unless you're an apologist for Islam. Then some pea-brain always has to bring up "But, but, but....NUNS!" when hijabs are discussed.
  20. Same with hijabs and burkas. Somehow, in her mind: Muslim majority countries who beat and kill women who do not comply with covering or miss a strand of hair = nuns. Excuse, deny and minimize. Every. Time.
  21. Alternatively, you could not read it at all and decide for yourself whether Jews and Christians are nothing but pigs and apes.
  22. The context under which certain practices became entrenched, while interesting, is irrelevant. If it's mostly Muslims practicing FGM today, who started it centuries ago doesn't matter. Centuries ago, all humans lacked medical knowledge, they lacked human rights awareness. This is not the case TODAY. "Christians used to do it centuries ago" may seem like a great excuse and discussion ender to you, but it's not for me. The world has moved on. Islam has not.
  23. No. YOU are the extremist. Muslim men who treat women like garbage and kill them because of that belief - they are the extremists. Why you have difficulty connecting Islamic beliefs about women to how Islamic men treat their own women and women of other cultures, is beyond me. You just keep denying that the religion affects Muslims in any way. It's a shitty religion, it produces way too many shitty people with shitty attitudes. No one has said it's ALL of them. But it is certainly more than you are willing to admit. That's the only difference - you think it's a minority of Islam's followers who ascribe to these views. I think it's more than a minority. But I have never said, ALL Muslims this or that. Please get help for your persecution complex. When you label people like me as "extremists" but make excuses for terrorists "mentally ill", No, Dia YOU are the extremist.
  24. Which is what was said, but you vehemently disagreed that Christians are treated poorly (Haha - interesting choice of word - "poorly" - as in killed and places of worship destroyed) That's the problem - we should be able to discuss attacks against Christians in Egypt without talking about the plight of first nations people in Canada. One doesn't cancel out the other. What you repeatedly fail or refuse to recognize is that just because someone is talking currently about one problem, it doesn't mean they don't recognize or acknowledge other problems in the world. Screeching "Not all Muslims!!!!!!!" every time a certain behaviour particular to Islam is discussed is getting utterly ridiculous - we all get that it's "not ALL Muslims". But this is a common tactic of Islamic apologists, such as yourself. Just admit it, Dia - you do not allow ANY negative discussion of Islam or Muslim behaviour. You are nothing but an Islamic apologist. Therre is nothing they can do that you do not minimize, excuse and deny. Evidenced by your refusal to discuss Christians being attacked in Egypt, your refusal to let anyone else discuss it and your denial that it was even happening. Haha - "poorly"......so rich. Instead of trying to derail the discussion, what if you just said, "Yes, Christians getting attacked in Egypt is a problem. It's partly cultural, it's partly the religion teaching them that Christians and Jews are pigs and apes. It needs to stop." But no....you deny the problem. Then we have to post incidents of it to prove to you that it is a problem - which you deny if you don't like the source. this thread would be a lot shorter and a lot less argumentative, if you would just admit that things are a problem, instead of making us prove it's a problem and then weeks and months later in ann unrelated comment, you will finally admit (almost) that Christians have it really bad in Egypt. Not just that they're treated "poorly" - minimization.
  25. Again, remedial reading courses for you would be beneficial. The title of the thread is This Week in Islam. It's to discuss the increasing problems the world is having with Islam. If you want to discuss Christian behaviour from 500-1000 years ago, this is probably not the thread. Denying the problems in Islam and making excuses for them all is fine if that's your stance - but if you post them here, you're going to be challenged. Fewer and fewer people are buying into your "Islam is a religion of peace" rhetoric. We can all see that it clearly is not a peaceful religion. WHY it's not peaceful is what is being discussed here - is it the religion, is it the culture, is it a combination of factors? That's what we're discussing. You can't seem to get past "Islam is sooooo peaceful and tolerant and accomodating and loving - they love everyone - Jews, Christians, animals. I get it - your sister is Muslim and you take it very personally when the religion and the behaviour of its adherents are discussed. But continual denial of the VOLUME of Islamic violence is getting really old and not supported by the facts of what is happening in the world. You still refuse to acknowledge that it's not the Muslims individually, it's the entire system they adhere to - culture and religion. I feel the same about J-dubs - individually great people - but they support a religious system that is harmful. Islam is the worst at this point in time. Some of us would like to discuss why that is. Several Muslim reformers that I've qouted here many times have said the same - there is something about the religion of Islam that attracts violence, attracts violent people. More so than other religions at this time. Continaully bringing up what Christians did 500-1000 years ago does not change that fact.
