A simple google search will show Hytera also has acquired companies in the US and has subsidiaries in the UK and US as well.
The company in question is a private company not a company owned by Canada.
Sweden has a large degree of how it wants it's culture to be viewed with a functioning media and a large group of people with knowledge of it's culture. First Nations do not have that benefit as history has shown the government tried to stamp it out.
Multiculturalism is best achieved by cultural exchange where each side has a say in the usage of their symbols and ideals as opposed to cultural appropriation where a dominant culture takes a minority culture's practices as it's own without allowing the minority culture any say in the matter.
Claiming that copyright law is important to this discussion ignores the more important points about cultural appropriation.

How do you know what the average jeweler is inspired by? How is a ring or earring cultural appropriation?
You would have to argue those things hold cultural significance to those peoples.
When it comes to cultural appropriation, intent of the appropriator and the balance of power between the two cultures are of importance.
Adding tariffs will do nothing but cause the other guy to do the same as well and next every good from the US will have tariffs. Trudeau should create trade relations with different parties and move away from the US in response.
A tax on foreign ownership means less houses will be constructed since companies are not going to build houses if no one is going to buy them in the end. The focus on foreigners is ignoring the fact that in both Vancouver and Toronto there is a resistance to building apartments buildings and condos by the general population.
If Canada wanted to do lets say longwall mining we would need to bring in foreign workers in order to do it. The example can be extended to any other industry.
