  1. Yes, he has not delivered on all his election promises. He has however delivered on many of them, and is only just over a year into a four year mandate. Some of the claims out there about not delivering on election promises are just sore losers trying to make hay out of nothing (e.g. 25,000 refugees - it was accomplished by end of Feb'16 but those who spend 99% of their time complaining about it anyway seem to think that the Dec'15 date is the only metric that means anything even though it was not in the platform)
  2. Unemployment when Trudeau took over - 7% Unemployment today - 6.8%
  3. What about the Black Brant incident? True it was confused with a submarine launched ballistic missile, but the fight technology is similar with the big difference being the launch vehicle.
  4. The uranium for the Manhattan project came from a mine near Great Bear Lake in the Northwest Territories, and was then refined in Port Hope Ontario. Plutonium production in a reactor was demonstrated at the Montreal laboratories. All the heavy water used in the Manhattan project came from Trail, British Columbia. Canada was a major contributor to the deciding factor that ended the war in the Pacific theatre. Many Canadians served in the pacific theatre, they were there long before Pearl Harbor and continued right up though the end of the war. You need to spend more time learning about Canada, you might be surprised what you find out. A good overview can be found on the Canadian veterans website.
  5. Trump is the smartest man in the world, he is the most importantest man in the world, he got the hugest majority in world history, everyone adores Trump, the media can't help but continually talk about him - even the Canadian media. ... I also remember another train wreck that even the American media couldn't help but continually talk about from Toronto city hall a few years back.
  6. Yes, there are a lot of place like that. I have in places crossed the 'border', because it was there (a la mountain climber). I didn't actually continue on into the US, but I have walked around the monuments, etc. that define the border. I know one farmer who has a fence behind his house with a gate in it that sits on the border line. The farmer lives in the US, but works fields in Canada (I assume he owns them as well, but it is possible he is just renting them). I assume in this day and age there is some level of monitoring of the border in many of those places, but it might just be the odd camera. More likely there are drone airplanes that are looking for more telltale signs like a car/truck dropping off a bunch of people. Of course there are many rivers and lakes where it is very easy to cross. There are several parks that also cross the border (yes 2 different, but adjoining parks) where you can easily hike/canoe across. The point is that if they do catch you trying to cross without reporting to the local customs house then you will be in big trouble.
  7. Certainly there is a lot in their annual report about government advances and repayment, but then I actually looked at the report to see it. The 2015 report talks about liabilities, and repayments to the government after delivery of aircraft; it also addressed the specific investment made by the Quebec government that year (actually completed in Feb'16, but enough was known to include it in the 2015 annual report). I didn't go back through earlier years to track everything, but then I am not out making a claim one way or the other. I am just pointing out that there is information available.
  8. The fantasy method? Repeating 'extreme screening and vetting' day in and day out demonstrates that Trump has nothing in his kitbag but rhetoric.
  9. It appears the topic of this thread is to talk about what the topic of this thread is. My interpretation is it is about slagging the other guy, or at least one persons perception of that. Regarding border security, my sense of the press conference was there was no discord on that issue from either party. There might be some differences in how they balance between an open society and security, but there is ongoing cooperation on improving border security. Then again, that is just my opinion. Of course I don`t have a hidden agenda trying to slag Canada.
  10. I love the cell phone being used to light up the classified documents, not like a cell phone doesn't have a camera in it and not like a cell phone can be hacked. Also caught the photo's of 'Rick', the guy that carries the nuclear launch codes. Hilary may have been lax with her security, but it seems like Trump is downright criminally negligent.
  11. What value system, I certainly don't share your desire to drop atomic bombs on people.
  12. He wasn't on medication when he did this, he had no meds to be off of.
  13. How do you determine what is wasteful? Don't accuse me of not caring just because I have a different opinion than you.
  14. What makes you think Trump has obligations to the banksters? He has bigger obligations going back decades. Pretending there was nothing in the campaign is also foolish, did you even bother to check? How about these, from among many others? Renaissance Technologies - $15,511,600 McMahon Ventures - $6,002,700 GH Palmer Assoc - $5,005,400 Mountaire Corp - $2,013,500 Houston Texans - $2,010,800 Bernard Marcus Family Foundation - $2,000,000 Cerberus Capital Management -$1,490,170 Electroimpact Inc - $1,005,399 Buckley Muething Capital Management - $1,000,000 Clarium Capital - $1,000,000
  15. Yet somehow you think Trump is different?
  16. Looking at his cabinet, that is a hard statement to believe.
  17. Certainly other religions like Christianity and Judaism have had significant reformation movements over the centuries, and created a lot of schisms within them. There are still many Orthodox and Conservative members of those religions as well as the enlightened reformed ones. Are you saying that reformation must be forced on a religion? What differentiates that from banning religions entirely. Many of us think religion is vile, but we accept and allow freedom for the deluded because we have seen that attempts at banning it have not historically worked. Should we discriminate only against certain religions?
  18. That has nothing to do with foreign aid, that is about our tax policy. We have been catering to the moneyed, vested interests for far too long.
  19. We spend slightly more on foreign aid than we do on our military. Does foreign aid lead to global security, and how does its effectiveness compare to guns? (note I am comparing to military only, not domestic law enforcement, intelligence agencies, etc.).
  20. Bombardier is a publicly traded company, their books are not hidden. They have on-line annual reports going back to 1997 and older paper ones can probably be found if you go to the right library.
  21. That's me, Trump's #1 fan Add that to your profile, along with your admiration of Fox news. You are certainly making an impression.
  22. I noticed that, but at least he caught himself and qualified it by electoral college votes. Ok, so again I ask: What do you suggest?
  23. I think Japan and South Korea are far more threatened by short range missiles from North Korea than Canada - simple geography. In response to this and other missile tests from North Korea, Canada has issued statements of condemnation. What should we be doing?
  24. Welcome to the board, you should put that statement in your profile.
  25. Yes, we know what to expect from Fox news. The most interesting will be late night tonight. Lets hope that Trudeau didn't overdo it to much, to make his articulate responses to the actual questions asked be compared to Trump's usual (we will be the bestest..., we are doing great, great, great, things....)
