  1. Does that mean Trump supporters are praising Obama as a true American hero?
  2. Find out more with Betsy, Alica, Rosi, and others at the New Yorker.
  3. So you think potential terrorists on the no-fly list should have the right to buy as many AK-15`s and rounds of ammunition they can afford?
  4. The criminal code of Canada: When child becomes human being 223 (1) A child becomes a human being within the meaning of this Act when it has completely proceeded, in a living state, from the body of its mother, whether or not (a) it has breathed; (b) it has an independent circulation; or (c) the navel string is severed.
  5. Just to clarify, while you can buy beer and wine at grocery stores in Quebec they also have regulated hours. In general stores are open longer hours in Ontario than Quebec. There are a few grocery stores in Quebec with extended hours, but I have been in them and the beer section has been locked up. I'm not sure if the same restriction applies to wine. As far as I know the local dépanneur does not lock off the beer coolers, although many of them are closed by 10 or 11pm. The wine selection at any of the dépanneurs I have been in sucks.
  6. Yes, I had the status update posting problem. I tried a day or two ago and had a problem so I forgot about it. I just tried and it didn't work on the home page, but did work on my profile page. Note that I have been able to post status updates since the upgrade and until a day or so ago so this is not just an upgrade issue it is more recent (for me at least).
  7. Happy Halloween everyone.

I am locking my door and turning out the lights, the kids are getting very scary this year.

  8. Well, I was never confused before but after reading that long description I can officially say I am now confused. No, not about my sex, sexual preferences, or sexual identity, but about how complex this whole thing really is. I don't think that 26 letters is enough alphabet soup to describe LGBTxyz....
  9. As we all know, this is an election year in the United States and one of the candidates was very explicit on his stance on abortion. What makes this critical is that the makeup of the Supreme Court can change dramatically during this Presidency. Not only are there expected retirements over the next few years, but Republican members of the Senate Judiciary Committee have been blocking Obama's nominations for the past year and say they will continue to block them until the new Presidency. “The Supreme Court – it’s what it’s all about. Our country is so, just so imperative that we have the right justices, I feel that the justices that I am going to appoint– and I’ve named 20 of them. The justices that I’m going to appoint will be pro-life. They will have a conservative bent.“ - Donald Trump As you can see, Donald Trump intends to appoint pro-life justices and we can logically assume try to overturn the Roe vs. Wade legislation and will have the tools to likely succeed. Roe vs. Wade has been the landmark decision that has provided a woman's right to choose for over 40 years, and moved abortions out of the back alley and into competent professional hands. Many states have anti-abortion laws on the books, and once Roe vs. Wade is overturned, women in those states will lose their right to choose regardless how early on in their pregnancy, regardless if their lives are endangered, and regardless of the health of the fetus. Women will be forced to give birth to babies that will suffer terrible deaths after a few short days even though they were diagnosed early on in the pregnancy with severe defects. This important decision is being kept in the shadows over all the hype of voter fraud, e-mails, etc. This deserves to be a major issue of this campaign.
  10. Does that make you an anti-abortionist? Trump has talked about reversing Roe vs. Wade, and selecting justices based on that criteria.
  11. I'm writing Kim Kardashian in on the ticket.
  12. I can't believe I am writing this. Donald Trump was absolutely right, there is voter fraud occurring, the election is rigged.
  13. Richard Hummel, professor of Chemical Engineering, age 60 using scuba tanks to ogle at female students from underwater.
  14. I do remember a professor ogling his students at UofT Hart House several years ago.
  15. So I take it that adult only hours are no good either.
  16. No so new that she learned those tricks from her Republican predecessor.
  17. No he made all his money by cheating the American taxpayer, his employees, non-documented workers, and outsourcing the rest overseas.
  18. With six bankruptcies, I would say the writing is clearly on the wall. Currently he has 23 accounts in default and 3 in collection, scoring very low in credit worthiness.
  19. She will have to wait for late January to be able to do that.
  20. I wonder if there are the General Petraeus emails, that is the one I though might really blow up.
  21. Have you been watching in the past couple of weeks? Johnson has been bleeding votes to mostly Trump, but some to Clinton as well. I expect he will finish with about 5% or less.
  22. Yes having a real third option did change the results in 1992, but you forgot to mention that Clinton had almost 6 million more votes than the closet rival (Bush Sr.). Contrast that to 2000 where Bush Jr. won with over a half million votes less than Gore, and I think the point is clear that the Republicans are having a hard time reaching a lot of Americans.
  23. There hasn't been as many studies for it's effects on older users. Certainly the body will metabolize it more slowly, so the effects will last longer. Marijuana at any age will impair cognitive abilities, so in older users they will take longer to recover. One of the many therapeutic uses of marijuana is in those suffering from Alzheimers, THC slows the production of beta-amyloid proteins which are key contributors to the progression of Alzheimers.
  24. Trump can thank a whore house in Canada for his fortunes.

      I wouldn't mind owning a whore-house.

      So his sleaziness is genetic.

  25. He did not get off, he is still in custody awaiting a retrial. In my opinion the original sentence of 6 years was too short, consent or not. I don't know the law in Austria, but in Canada a child of 10 can't give consent.
