I don't think the Trials are particularly relevant now. Considering the real trial is the 90% of Canadians who've had at least 1 shot. But a 10,000 sample size is actually quite high, What I was questioning was using the sideeffects reported by less than 2% of the sample size and using those figures to establish a trend. Especially when the placebo group also reported some similar side effects. It's not like authorities are ignoring side-effects. I knew blood clots were a possibility when I got the AZ shot. They actually don't even offer that shot in Canada anymore because it's not as safe as the mRNA shots have been found to be. And this myocarditits thing is a real potential side-effect. I actually think Denmark is smart for not offering it for younger people. But don't confuse the situation now with the situation in 2021. This virus was much more pathogenic then and I do believe the vaccines saved many lives.

https://apnews.com/article/fact-check-study-vaccine-adolescents-897355749269?utm_source=Twitter&utm_medium=APFactCheck&utm_campaign=SocialFlow Side effects were mostly mild and there was no placebo treatment done. If being told you were getting a vaccine where some mild side effects are possible, would the placebo effect not provide some symptoms. Only one case of myopericarditis actually came from this study. Again heart issues are a noted side effects amongst adolescent males. I'll even concede that vaccinating children is pointless right night. But this idea that the vaccine is killing people is unfounded bunk.

Oh a Facebook post with Mark Styen. ?

Exactly. It was still and issue in non flu season. Also, in the Southern US, their flu season is in the middle of the summer where most people stay indoors because it's too hot outside

See this article regarding Delta from last July. https://health.ucdavis.edu/news/headlines/8-things-health-experts-want-you-to-know-about-the-delta-variant/2021/07 With the recency bias of Omicron where the vaccine isn't as important and older people are the vast majority of the fatalities, it's easy to remember the middle of this pandemic where there was a much more realistic chance of a younger people dying from Beta or Delta.
-
I would like to see a cite on that. Still, streams of 60+ people clogging the hospitals are bad for the overall healthcare system. And Alpha, Beta and Delta variants did affect younger people more.
-
Only if you're a crazy conspiracy theorist that assumes governments are looking to control the populace by developing a vaccine. Which many are no longer pushing as hard.
-
Short of a Military coupe, the only way that can be accomplished is through political means. I contend a person like PP won't do much to win hearts and minds where elections are won.
-
I don't think the vaccine is particularly effective against Omicron. But it was very effective against Delta, which saved a lot of people from a bad outcome in late 2021. When you consider vaxxed people that die, you have to consider age and other co-morbitities.

I'm sure they're friendly with those Convoyers you're so fond of.

Rocks! She was commenting on a QAnon (Is that really a thing in Canada?) protest in her city where they tried to tried to put Police Officers under Citizen's Arrest. https://www.blogto.com/city/2022/08/peterborough-mayor-calls-arrested-conspiracy-protestors-fckwads/ More politicians need to be this real.

I'm not saying Hospitalization, but a run of Anti-Biotics. Nothing serious, but also nothing to overlook. I don't think I've had COVID, but this Cold I've had is not particularly pleasant. Which speaks to the idea that COVID isn't anything special anymore.
-
You take the SAEs recorded, which amounts to less than 1% of people who took part in the trial. You compare it to the placebo group (who also experience SAE) and you calculate the difference and declare you have a X% more likely chance of an SAE when taking the COVID vaccine. It's Junk Science. BTW, why isn't the Placebo group Zero? Is it possible these are things that just happen to people in the course of life, and have absolutely NOTHING to do with the Vaccine.

The study indicates you're 4 times more likely to get Cholecystitis when vaccinated? Is that something you're going to run with?
-
Who says anyone is freaked out? Just saying infections associated with a virus can be more serious and require medical intervention.
-
I don't really want to continue to pollute another thread with this Anti-Vax BS but this study in the first thread is a perfect example of using the data to create correlation results vs causation outcomes. The paper lists 86 Adverse reactions for the Vaccine Group vs 64 for the Placebo Group. Hilariously there are more people in the Placebo group that got Myocarditis in this study. Nothing concrete can come of these numbers. Does this study provide absolute proof that you're more likely to get Cholecystitis from an mRNA vaccine because 4 people in this study got it vs 0 in the placebo? That's a stretch. And this study was based on the initial trials. If extrapolated over 85% of the population, are we seeing 4 times the number of people with Cholecystitis in the population?
-
How hard is it to copy and paste you obstinate Anti-Vaxxer? I'm sure you have these precious studies bookmarked for all the forums you post about it on.
-
I'll make the judgement. And if you disagree, there we are. That's how forums work. But where are these peer review studies that prove mRNA vaccines are killing all these people? Where did the 20% of people getting myocarditis dying within 5 years come from?
-
Where's the research for all the claims you're making?

I said your anti-vax thread. What are some of these studies?
-
That's an opinion. But the only real causation-based side effects Anti-Vaxxers can glom onto is Myocarditis which only effects adolescents.
