Where in the post did I make a definitive statement? String of logic of this thread. More Muslims = Multiculturalism = Support for Trudeau = Support for the Vaccine = Death of Canada. That cover it?
-
I really don't think your perception of the situation matches reality.
-
From the Provinces. Not sure where you live but in Ontario they had a vaccine mandate for public indoor activities for a few months. It was taken away in the Early Spring. Public Health Jobs mandated people getting vaccines, still do. Short of federal jobs, I don't believe they've expanded the definition of "vaccinated" beyond the original 2-doses.
-
How did we get on the vaccine? This is a thread about the Islamification of Toronto. ?
-
The Feds can't mandate vaccines for day-to-day activities. Boosters have been largely available for 9 months, yet the original 2-doses is all the Feds require to be vaccinated for international travel etc.
-
That's hysteria. It was actually the conventional vaccines Astrazeneca and J&J that produced more side effects, that's why the mRNA vaccines were used.

I agree in terms of LNG, but not the Tarsands. It's too expensive and OPEC has a competitive advantage to make the oil uncompetitive at their whim. You're fooling yourself if you think the Carbon tax is impoverishing people. It's 11 cents on the price of a litre of gas.

I know it really annoys you to have to cite stuff multiple times, But I have no desire to comb through your anti-vax thread. That's not true. I'm not required to take the fourth shot. And if I do get another shot, it best be for one of the more recent variants. People take the flu shot every year. They don't destroy their immune system.
-
I'm fully aware. Though Colds quickly turn into bacterial infections should the linger.
-
You're full of crap. I've conceded that the Vaccine, in its current form, provides little further protection. But your position that the mRNA vaccine is causing scads of long-term health conditions are not supported by the data. 85% of Canadians have gotten this vaccine, some four times. If it was really that much of an catastrophe we'd notice.

I was only referring to the party, in its current form, Alliance merged with PC. Stephen Harper was born in Toronto. Andrew Scheer was born in Ottawa. Candice Bergen is from Manitoba. But she's only the interim leader. Leaders are often parachuted into Safe ridings. That's why they often represent Western Ridings.

I think Canada has been more responsible than other countries with COVID spending. CERB was made to support people who were forced not to work. No cheques were mailed to every Canadian to stimulate the economy, at least not on a Federal level. I got a few from Ontario. I shudder to think what our Country would look like if the government didn't step in with COVID measures. Marginally raising the price of polluting is designed to encourage people to make better choices regarding energy consumption. The gas price spikes we've been seeing have little to do with taxes and a lot to do with profit taking from oil companies. They have not increased supply to match demand. And watch, if we do go into a recession, prices will plummet. Is that a better situation? In Ontario, taxes have been taken off of Gas and we're still paying north of $1.60. If the Carbon tax was repealed that would only amount to 11¢/litre. Is $1.50/litre a fair price to pay for gas?

From a broader Canadian perspective, I don't think rolling back environmental measures will work. I agree that the Feds are out of touch in regards to COVID restrictions as they current stand. But a year ago, they were inline with where a majority of the population was. Inflation, right now, is much more complex right now than blaming a political party or policy.

I don't believe the CPC have ever had a leader that was born and raised out West.
-
Incorrect. Carleton is an Ottawa burb.
-
Cool Story Bro.
-
This is what these Trucker Fans need to realize. Their act doesn't do anything to gain support in the populous parts of Ontario. You lose the 905, you lose the election, simple as that.
-
Doesn't matter who they voted for. The CPC support is saturated out West. That's why they won the popular vote and still lost the election. A seat won with 70% of the vote counts the same as a seat with 52% of the vote. Winning a Federal Election requires some form of broad based support. That's something Stephen Harper was able to create, for a few years anyway.
-
With the "coalition" with the NDP, JT may be able to ride out this financial issues. He's got 3 years if he needs it. Or, as you mention, he may call a snap election to get PP with his pants down. The NDP will have to play ball though.

Actually cozying up with Anti-Vaxers is what prevents me from voting Conservative. Note my Avatar, I've come around on Dofo. The right in this country are completely isolating themselves.
-
I am speaking for myself. I honestly don't want to live in a Country where your homies are in charge.
-
I would have gotten the vaccine, which I did even though my work didn't mandate it. But I'm just a sheeple right? I have little time for Anti-Vaxxers, and the risks of the vaccine have been way overblown, especially for adults. Again, my opinion but it seems my opinion is the majority here. BTW I've never test positive for COVID but I'm recovering from one wicked cold my son brought home from school. Not pleasant. I would take a Cold vaccine if it was offered.
-
Way to victim blame. The issue is less about her and why Hockey Canada would even do this. Well we know why. You have this/these future NHLers you want to protect.
-
Those truckers were/are idiots. AND they only represented a fraction of the industry. They were complaining about a cross border agreement where you needed to be vaccinated to cross the border as a trucker. Americans Truckers could easily complain about the same thing. Which is ironic because a lot of the funding came from anonymous Right-Wing groups in the US. The unvaccinated still can't cross freely across most border. Now, if I'm being honest, I don't think that's all that necessary anymore, but vaccination might be important for another cold/flu season. We'll see.

Actually the thread is about what's the end-game for replacing him. Hating him doesn't do much unless you change hearts and minds. Angry people with large flags and "F Trudeau" Bumper stickers doesn't win any hearts or minds.
