  1. There's a scene where they meet, and it's clearly not an attack. It would be a mistake for these two not to have a face-to-face before a final confrontation. The amount of ammo is relative in a show like this. Herchel has unlimited ammo in the season finale last year. Everyone has an assault rile except Carl in last night's episode.
  2. Seth was awesome last night. If people were shocked by his jokes then they probably had no clue who his is.
  3. Dealing with the Governor is a little more pressing at this moment. I've seen preview that indicate that is what will happen next.
  4. I don't know how you can compare Hollywood celebs to posters on a political forum, many who are likely trolling. In the past politics might have been fairer. It's been said that the stuff Reagan and Nixon did would have been considered socialism by today's crop of conservatives. I'm not an expert on US politics but it would appear that the parties are far more polarized making the appearance of a Republican leader at a major Hollywood event even less likely.
  5. That exception proves the rule. You would never see Laura Bush on the Oscars. There are many hollywood actors that are "virulently partisan" They have that right, but don't pretend Hollywood is largely bi-partisan.
  6. Didn't Iran Contra happen in the mid 80's with Reagan? Argo deals with the hostage taking that basically ruined the Carter administration.
  7. Loved last night's episode. Rick, Carl and Michonne are going to do another covert operation in Woodbury. BTW who noticed the crawl during the episode last night that said Rogers is thinking of pulling AMC. I'm glad I'm not with Rogers!!!! Most of the time AMC is a low rate movie channel BUT it has two or three of the best shows on TV right now. Way to make people want to download more programming Rogers!
  8. Like a Republican would be welcome to the Hollywood Love-In. Or would accept an invitation in the first place. That'd be like inviting Michael Moore to speak at a Promise Keeper's Rally.
  9. Like a sucker I watched part of the first Spring Training game. Brandon Morrow gave up 3 hits and a towering bomb to Prince Fielder. There's a reason these games generally aren't televised, because it's essentially live practice. I am looking forward to seeing Melky Cabrera and Jose Reyes in the batter's box. It was nice of J.A. Happ to take Curtis Granderson out for a few months.
  10. Looks like the Secondary School Union is backing down on the ban on Extra-curricular. http://www.thestar.com/yourtoronto/education/2013/02/22/ontario_high_school_teachers_to_resume_extracurriculars.html They finally realize how horrible it looks to tell teachers, who want to volunteer, that they can't.
  11. It's beyond hilarious that Clayton Ruby thinks it's classless for Ford to go after the guy that tried to get him out of office for his legal costs. Especially since, when it was thought that the plantiff's won, Ruby presented Ford with an even larger bill! http://www.thestar.com/news/gta/2013/02/23/clayton_ruby_takes_shot_at_rob_ford_legal_team_over_cost_demands.html I hope Ford takes Madger for every cent he's asking for.
  12. It's kind of redundant because of CTS.
  13. I tempered the Op slightly.
  14. Well I'll assume they're not hiring new civil servants to do this, If they are there would have to be a cost benefit analysis. I grow tired of the argument "We pay into EI, so we have a right to make a claim every year". EI should be used for permanent unemployment, not seasonal workers.
  15. It's meant to be hyperbole. SHEESH!!! Of course not everyone hates Quebec, but there is resentment that they try to protect their language to the point of serious discrimination. Stuff that would never be accepted in English Canada.
  16. It's stuff like this that make a good part of TROC annoyed with Quebec. http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/montreal/story/2013/02/20/montreal-language-pasta-translation.html Hey Chinese Food Restaurant Owner, There are too many non-French words in your menu. Could you change Won Ton and Kung Pow into comparable French words? Thanks! Unflipping Believable! Imagine this happening in English Canada? You can't call that Risotto! It's RICE GAWDAMNIT!!!
  17. $45/month for unlimited is incredible. That Tek Savy? Unlimited caps are only really worthwhile if you're on Netflix and you're downloading everything. Which likely means you don't pay for cable. I personally like the convenience of cable + an HD DVR so I skimp on my internet. I occasionally use Netflix but not enough to justify a huge limit. It's interesting how Broadband has been far surpassed by LTE mobile internet. Eventually that will be the standard. My 4G/LTE phone can get 20+ mbps in areas where LTE is available. Of course mobile internet is exponentially more expensive but I can see that being the future of internet and cable broadband going to way of a dial up modem.
  18. Well your experience is in the minority. Android is obliterating Apple and Windows globally with their devices. I just got a Jelly Bean update for my phone and it even has a simplified version of Android for people that don't think to tinker with their phone. It's the best mobile platform IMHO.
  19. 2/3 in Roll up the Rim. I see this as an accomplishment.

WWWTT, you've been duped. This is a popular urban myth but nothing more.

  20. I guess the desktop computing world just isn't worthwhile for them yet. I know Google is getting into the Video Game Console business with Ouya.
  21. Android would be a perfectly good OS for Desktop computing. I've been told it's pretty much like Linux. They just need the hardware.
  22. I agree with the sentiment that Windows seems like it was created solely for use as a tablet OS. It also seems pretty idiot proof which indicates that it limits the amount of customization allowed. The Surface is a good hybrid of the two. I can see Personal computing going the way of a tablet that can be hooked up to a keyboard and mouse when needed. I'm actually shocked Google doesn't seem to follow suit with an Android Powered laptop. Unless you use a computer for creative design purposes, video editing or lots of work processing, Super phones and tablets do a good portion of what people use the internet for. I rarely see a need to boot up my laptop anymore because my phone accomplishes much of what I can do on the PC. I also use a Desktop computer at work so I don't need to spend a lot of time at home on a computer as well.
  23. For the preview for next week's show Carl says to Rick that he shouldn't be leader anymore. He was in the bushes looking for Ghost Lori when the Governor attacked! They must have been using hollow points, how else would Axel's corpse work as a bullet proof shield?
  24. Really? If you had a doctor or lawyer that didn't have the ability to memorize laws or symptoms because they could easily google them would you be confident in their ability to do their job. Rote Memory is important. Having the ability to access information instantly is convenient and it allows people to learn things but it shouldn't replace one's ability to memorize important facts.
  25. The story in the OP did not me.
