Did Trudeau Fail His Country On Covid-19
WestCanMan replied to WestCanMan's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
I now [kinda] know someone who knows someone who had c-19. My wife's assistant has a sister who had it. She's 36 and she gets bronchitis every winter, and she has also had pneumonia before on 'more than one occasion' or something like that. I don't remember exactly how she phrased it, but it seems like a regular occurrence for her as well. I just remember came away with the impression that it would be between 3-5 times. I was more focused on the testing info so I didn't harp on this point, more about that later... Anyways, apparently she got really sick with Covid in April. I'm not sure whether she was ever sick enough to stay in the hospital overnight, but she did experience mild 'shortness of breath' (to be exact, I was told that "she felt like she never really got enough air".) End result, she says that her hands and feet are still partially numb to the touch but she still has full use of them. Back to testing - she lives with her husband and 5 kids and none of them ever got sick and they never even got tested, so they never found out whether they ever had it, but they definitely had enough exposure that they either got it and remained asymptomatic or their immune systems were strong enough that the virus never managed to infect them. Seeing as they never got tested, there's obviously not any great deal of 'contact tracing' going on here. It also makes me wonder why her doctor never bother to get them tested. I guess he knew that they weren't in any risk, and maybe they didn't want to bump up the stats? Seems really weird that they didn't need to get tested. I guess they were all just locked down anyways so there was no need. -

Case rates are due to higher testing numbers in the States. Deaths are the only things that really count, and now we're becoming aware of fraudulent death reporting to bump up covid death totals. https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/investigations/2020/04/25/coronavirus-death-toll-hard-track-1-3-death-certificates-wrong/3020778001/ Cause of death has always been inaccurate. -

I've explained the exact same things to you many times but you don't get it. Now aparently you don't even remember. You have no understanding whatsoever of the significance of population density regarding the spread of a pandemic. 1/3 of the population of Ontario rides the NYC subway every day. If you took the population of the entire world and spread it evenly across Jupiter you'd be lucky if 3 people could infect 10 other people in a week. If you take 100,000 people and put them in a skating rink 3 people could infect 100,00 people within 12 hrs. There's no comparing dense populations to lightly-populated areas, at all. The parts of the US that you're calling comparable to Ontario and Quebec aren't comparable at all. There's no scenario where lots of people don't die. You just have to pick and choose who they are. That's life. Do extremely sick/elderly people die from covid right now, or do you destroy the economy and see how many people die from the fallout of that? It's one or the other. Don't be a wimp. This isn't a time for weak decisions. -
These polls are nothing more than the MSM trying hard to downplay the public's perception of this scandal. Do you honestly feel like you never lost any respect for Trudeau through this latest scandal? Do you know a single person whose opinion of the Liberals has actually gone up through this? Even the bottom 1/3 of the gene pool understands that this level of government corruption can't go unpunished.

Dr. Leslyn Lewis is a strong, smart conservative who will do a lot of damage to the hateful and divisive entities in NA like BLM and the Dems.

Correction: because of our extremely low population density We just have to tough it out. It's like a war for the survival of our country, but instead of a bunch of 17-20 yr-olds dying it's 80+. .05% of the population is going to die. Helathy people have a .001% chance of dying from ths. That's life. -

It sounds as though the local police in Portland were keeping control of the mob to the extent that their local government is happy with. -
None of our leaders in Canada 'successfully guided us through this crisis'. They left airports wide open, crowded with passengers from every covid hotspot on earth, they weren't screening passengers, and they told everyone NOT to wear masks. If there was a playbook for intentionally spreading the virus, our dimwits followed it to the letter. We got a huge head start on the rest of the world in covid deaths. As the 39th most populous country on earth, with the 187th-highest pop-density we were 11th in the world in covid deaths. The only thing that saved our bacon was the fact that our country is naturally socially-distanced due to our geography. It didn't save our economy though. In the end we let in so much covid that this year that our entire economy had to be shut down and all of our country's social and sports programs had to be cut completely off. Honestly eyeball, if Bonnie Henry/Dr Tam/Trudeau did the right thing through all of February and half of March, then why isn't it the right thing to do now? Why shouldn't we just have everything in the country wide-open, and allow flights in from New York and New Jersey? It's just completely racist to block travel from there, right? They have such a large ethnic population there, and so many white people who are guilty of slave-ownership via their tainted DNA. Save us eyeball. Petition for open borders and an end to masks.

I'm pretty sure that the only impropriety here was the minor issue of Justing Trudeau not bothering to recuse himself from the obvious decision of award $900M to the We charity to 'do their thing' with. I saw that on the news and I heard it on the radio. I don't know where you get this subversive nonsense from. Facts are not welcome in any discussions about our Dear Leader! Funny thing, the other day Trudeau said that they never used lawyer-client privilege to muzzle JWR during LavScam. She should take that as permission to just let loose now.

I wonder how many of the people who collect paycheques from We are also in groups like Antifa and BLM.

Yes, for certain. If people care enough to vote, then vote. If they don't care, then don't vote. It's always been that way. Don't just make fraud on a massive scale entirely easy (and likely) just to satisfy the vast minority of people who don't really give a rip. -

TBH, I don't really care about c19 deaths. The vast majority of those people would have died very soon anyways. It's unfortunate, but it's not on the same level as a 20 yr old dying from Fentanyl, or a 16 yr old being killed by the CHAZ police. Cancer deaths, for instance, occur in ages from 3 to 103. A cancer death has a nearly-equal chance of being a devastating tragedy, or not that big of a deal. If I die of cancer at 103 no one will give a crap, or at least they definitely shouldn't. A C19 death is certain to be far nearer to "not that surprising" than "life-shattering for an entire family". The C-19 deaths aren't like ebola deaths where 6 year olds died all the time. I still remember the pic of the little kid sitting naked, all alone, who theoretically died of ebola later that day. His family theoretically booted him when he got sick. Compare that with an 83 yr old with two or more co-morbidities. Or don't bother, I don't need to hear it. -

Because fraud is several times easier, much harder to track & prove, and thousands of times faster. Most people can figure this one out for themselves before you even have to tell them about it. If you don't understand all that, after it's been spelled out, that's on you. I don't really care. -

At the very worst, what we're seeing now is a spike that's partially due to the rioting and especially the looting. NYC already has a lot of herd immunity from their subway system. -

Nope. And you don't have evidence to prove that it's really necessary, and that it's because of a higher-than-usual death rate. How many people usually die in a day in Texas? How many are dying now? Just find those things out and you'll at least have something. Cool. -

I've dropped thousands of pieces of mail off in a day myself. Could I show up thousands of times in a day at polling stations with two unique pieces of ID every time? Do you know how much harder it would be to vote ten times with two pieces of ID vs dropping off 1,000 fake ballots? Do you get how much easier it is to secretly drop fake ballots in the mail at midnight than to get away with creating & using a bunch of different fake IDs? You have to commit multiple felonies to do the ID voter fraud thing, and you have to do it in the light of day. If you get caught, your scam doesn't work. If you get caught doing the mail scam, what % of your fake votes will still register? 90? 99? 50? That's still a lot of votes. Do you think that the party that lied to the FBI, Congress and the American people and committed fraud and malfeasnace for 3 years about "Russian collusion" wouldn't rig an election using mail-in ballots? That would be extreme stupidity not to cnnect those dots. -

Even if they're doing it, it could be a show. And like I said, maybe people are trying to postpone funerals as long as possible too, so that tey can be held once c19 restrictions are loosened. -

"The Nation" lol. Their logo has a black man on a knee doing the black power symbol in the air. That idiocy aside: The Dems are a scary bunch of people. Their political agitators in Antifa and BLM are at those protests, and whether or not they're officially labelled as terrorist organizations on the books yet, they both operate as terrorist organizations. Who cares if they're getting treated like it? -

Riiiiight. "You" sure could vote for "yourself". You could also be Juan Herdez, an undocumented immigrant from Mexico, and you could vote again. You could also be Juan Hernandes, an undocumented immigrant from Mexico, and you could vote again. You could also be Juan Suarez, an undocumented immigrant from Mexico, and you could vote again. You could also be Juan Jiminez, an undocumented immigrant from Mexico, and you could vote again. You could also be Juan Munos, an undocumented immigrant from Mexico, and you could vote again. You could also be Juanita Herdez, an undocumented immigrant from Mexico, and you could vote again. You could also be Juanita Munos, an undocumented immigrant from Mexico, and you could vote again. If Dems got their way they wouldn't even have to campaign. They could just do some mass mailing campaigns. It's a total joke. With 1 person, and two pieces of ID, fraud gets harder and harder. That's how it should actually work now in these days of technology. Everyone has ID, or if they don't, they should get it if they want to vote. -

1) that's anecdotal, not necessarily legit 2) maybe people are waiting longer than usual to bury people so that they can have proper funerals? -

If less than 1% of the votes come from mail-ins, for members of the military abroad, etc, that's one thing. To say that you'd just make a massive amount of mail-in ballots for an unknown number of illegal immigrants is just a hilarious, farcical, and an ominous suggestion. -

You posted that 58 minutes ago. Yesterday from 58 minutes ago and yesterday from now is still July 16th. https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/us/ There were 314 C-19 deaths in the US yesterday. Is that "almost 1,000"? Where did you get that stat from? You realize that there are 7,700 deaths in the US on an average day, right? https://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/volumes/68/wr/mm6826a5.htm Florida's C-19 deaths yesterday was almost exactly the same as their death rate there from heart disease or cancer - every single day. Seems like a lot, but it's not. -

Difficulty is normal now. Tens of thousands of businesses are closing permanently, millions of people are permanently or temporarily laid off, the Dems and the liberal MSM are encouraging country-wide riots & trying to de-fund the police, and 0.05% of the population died (about double a normal flu season, or 1/3 the number of people who die from medical mistakes each year). Sure, the election will be difficult, but that's better than fraudulent. You can't throw out the validity of the election to satisfy Covid. A more realistic option is delaying the election. -
You were in favour of Trudeau winning iirc.
