Really Argus? So what specific thing that the GOP did or what changes has Trump made, what things has Trump done that irk you so much? There's a laundry-list of things wrong with the Demonrats. They call for the harassment of government officials, they support BLM and Antifa, they support violent rioting/arson/looting and attacks on police, they support every voter-fraud-friendly reform known to man, they let Russians run rampant in Europe and did nothing, they blame terrorist attacks with vans on guns, they let Islamic State grow to the size of a large country and then pretended that they couldn't stop them for 5 years, they blame terrorist attacks with AK-47s on gun laws and AK-47s have always been illegal, they support blatant anti-Semitism and then when there's an attack on Jews they blame Trump, their nominee got caught cheating twice in the 2016 election and they act like Trump was the cheater, they are the biggest misogynist/hypocrites on the planet "all bitches want it from Bill Clinton", they lie about global warming, they lie about covid, they lied about Kavanaugh, they lied about russian collusion..... You want to talk about a bunch of sewer rats with absolutely no redeeming qualities it's the Dems. You've been drinking stupidity straight from CBC's firehose Argus.

I'm kind of shocked that they are talking about putting in a new SCJ myself, but in all fairness, the Demmies are talking about expanding the SC if they get elected which is even more bogus. Soon, every time the US has a new Prez with control of the Senate, they will just add more and more judges. 7, 21, 42, 84.......

How can you possibly work in immigration services and not be aware of this? Ensuring the safety of Canadians is one of the main jobs of that department. We don't even bring people here from Australia without vetting them, and Australia doesn't have a terrorist population that's large enough to overwhelm their government. -
If President Trump is re-elected
WestCanMan replied to Queenmandy85's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Lol. If you recall, Russia was a minor player on the world stage before Obama got elected. They had gone from being a world power down to a country that couldn’t even keep their own shit together. Suddenly when Obama started dressing up as POTUS the Russians were bad-asses again, wandering around pissed drunk and stealing everybody’s lunch money. Obama just stood there with his pants down around his ankles, slack-jawed. He didn’t even have a half-hearted bloviating session. Putin laughed. Then he turned the Demmies into his useful idiots just by spending a couple hundred grand on FB ads. Dems have been dividing the country ever since. On the chess board of life, Putin has 16 queens and the Dems have a few broken pawn chains. He toys with them. He snaps his fingers and they dance like bear cubs. Your comment on China was extremely stupid Argus. You can trot out all the debunked accusations you want about Trump/Russia, but China actually does own the Biden family. All the Chinese have to do is threaten to show some video of what Hunter & Joe were promising the Chinese government back when Hunter was weaseling $1.5B out of the communist bank of China, and Joe is putty in Xi’s hand. Joe already lost a son. He can’t have Hunter rung up on treason charges. How hard do you think it is for a random westerner to just get the communist bank of China to do a $300K deal with them? What about a 1M deal? What about a $1.5B deal? ONE BILLION FIVE HUNDRED MILLION DOLLARS. That’s like a million dollar deal, 1,500 times. Do you think the Communist Bank of China just made some deal that was great for ‘Murica with no strings attached? How is a deal with China mutually beneficial with the Bidens or the US? Why did Joe lie about his knowledge of it if it was ok? It was not ok, and you know it’s not ok. It’s like the definition of what’s not ok for a politician and his family to be doing. Just like Hunter’s $30K/month job at Burisma was not ok. Joe knew it wasn’t ok and that’s why he lied about knowledge of Burisma as well. For you to bring up either topic is like Bill Buckner bragging about game seven of the World Series. -

Ironically, the best reason that I've ever seen for a person to be racist is right in our Charter of Rights and Freedoms. -

WestCanMan replied to Argus's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
1) Really now. So it's ok to be racist, as long as there's somehow some profit involved? What if the gov't was to determine that there's actually more money to be made by investing that $93M in Korean Canadians, or MexiCanadians, or Jewish Canadians? Should we say screw the blacks and invest the money elsewhere? 2) FYI there wasn't somewhere else to invest the billions that went into the oil sands. In addition to being the largest export commodity we have in this country, oil is a strategic military resource, and almost makes us a useful contributor to NATO. Additionally, whatever oil we don't make we'd be importing from somewhere else (we actually are importing a massive amount of oil, because the Trudeau's have been pumping Saudi oil in their gas stations for three generations now), adding to our trade deficit. There's literally no comparison between tapping into our oil reserves and the racism that our government is engaging in. The connection is laughable. -

1) Wrong again. Most of the kids who died, died from TB, and they weren't safe from it in their homes either. TB was killing everyone, but res schools were a ripe target for that kind of disease. 2) You're lying again. The difference between "their culture and our culture" wasn't "What name do we give our god and how do we pray" so this was nothing like what happens in the middle east. Do you understand that? This was the difference between a culture that was landing on the moon and one that wasn't smelting bronze yet. They didn't even have the fucking wheel. First nations children aren't apes. It wouldn't be ok to leave them in the stone age while the rest of the world moved into the space age. I'm not slighting them.... Just surviving 25,000 years on the frozen prairies was a cray achievement, surviving in the NWT is mind-boggling. But they just had to move on. No one ever said that being a luddite was man's highest calling. It's unfortunate that religion was involved in the way that it was, but FYI, from the early 1600s to the early 1900s religious schools were basically the only schools in the country. Go learn something dialamah. I'm not your tutor. Your blatant ignorance is only matched by your hideous racism. -

No one will accept your sympathies as being sincere when they come hand-in-hand with your ignorant and idiotic assignment of evil intent. Bad things happened in res schools because when people are put in positions of absolute power, like they were in Res Schools, bad things are GOING to happen, always. (1) Not every residential school was run by rapists fwiw, but the impression given is that they all were (2) google "Stanford Prison Experiment" for a brief education on how bad things can go, and how quickly, when people are completely unsupervised in a position of power. Dialamah, if we were having this debate in 1955 would you honestly be arguing in favour of children growing up in igloos and teepees/longhouses, with no understanding of the english language? If you went to visit some first nations people living in the NWT on Jan 12th 1955 and saw how little children were living would that not melt your heart? Wouldn't you want to tell that child "there's a better life for you, with clean clothes and the possibility of being more than just a hunter/gatherer"? I bet you talk about 'the empowerment of women' a lot, and yet you're trying to act as though you'd let little girls be forced by their parents to live in the stone age in the NWT in 2020.... Come on dialamah, you just want to preach, you don't want to make sense. If you really gave a shit about first nations people you'd want to be involved in a healing process, not in a blaming process, and not in a contest to score political points for.... basically no one? Whose side do you think you are helping by casting a fake shadow on the people who set up the residential schools anyways? Are you just helping the people who are racist against whites? Honestly if that's not the case I don't even have a good guess at what side you're on. Obviously you're not just engaging in this debate out of a sense of altruism or you'd have a better understanding of why Res Schools were started, and you'd be focused more on healing than hate-mongering. -

It's not fraud, the system is built that way so that they people in the 5 largest cities don't get to run the whole country. Regional economies are crucial to the overall success of the country and "the popular vote" isn't the perfect option. Literally 1% of the US land mass would run 100% of the country if it was done your way. There would be no such thing as 'campaigning in Wyoming'. Wyoming would STFU and do what they're told by NY, LA, Boston and a few other cities. Because of all the bitching I guess? Honestly we all KNOW how to have an election - you get people to show up at polling stations with ID and vote. The people who know that they can't win don't admit to that though. They say that system is somehow busted, and they have a series of voter-fraud-friendly options that they want to put in place. -

You have a childish way of looking at things Marcus: "White people did this to the first nations and it was obviously because they're evil!!!!" Go try living in Alberta from Oct 1 to March 31 in a home with no insulation or central heating and then revisit this topic. I've used an outhouse in the prairie winter many times and I can tell you that you don't read magazines or scroll through FB there. Raise some kids in Canada, with no knowledge of the english language, and obviously no reading and writing skills, and tell them that they have no option to be a part of the modern economy, they'll be hunter gatherers for all their future generations - it's their only option. Would that be fair to your kids Marcus? Shouldn't they get the chance to be accountants, cab drivers, doctors, firemen, plumbers, etc, if they so choose? FYI native children weren't 'targeted' at all. What you think of as 'woke' terminology is actually just 'racist'. Residential schools were not devised as a form of torture. It was supposed to be for their own good. Do you know what the wealthiest people in Britain do? They put their kids in boarding schools, where a large percentage of them gain admission to Ox-'bridge. They don't put them there to be abused, or because they don't love them, they do it because it's what's best for them. Side note: it's also extremely expensive. I'll admit that residential schools were rife with serious problems, but they weren't built on bad intentions, they were just hounded by the failings of individual humans who were put into a position of having too much power over children. That's not a 'white' thing, it's all over the planet. -

Why would I? They give a few billion and get 100X as much back. If they could invest money in Ontario and get it back many times over, should I object to that as well? Oil wasn't always at $50-100/bbl. When it was down around $17, quite a few years back, it almost cost that much to extract it in Alberta. Alberta isn't like some other places where you just put a pipe in the ground and pump oil out. It's an expensive, dangerous, highly-technical process. -

1) Wrong. 2) First nations girls start off with actual, quantifiable monetary advantages over everyone else. 3) Children born with two married parents start off with a head start. That's an actual fact that far outweighs any other factor by a huge margin. 4) There are cultural differences which give people of certain cultures advantages over others. For example indo-Canadians are often comfortable living with large extended families. There are literally no white or black adults who live in the same house with multiple other adults from their extended family when they have a choice. I've been on this earth 52 years now and I have never seen it. That's almost normal for indo-Canadians. Sharing expenses like that is a huge advantage over other cultures where it's not even uncommon for a single mom to live on their own. There are several cultures in this country in which a large percentage of the parents consider a 'passing grade' for their children in school to be over 95%. Not even 5% of "white Canadian families" hold their children to that standard. There are actual reasons why black women or first nations women start off at a disadvantage compared to girls of other cultures, but the notion that 'police/white people are against them' is the cause is just pure, racist bullshit. The African American Family, from Wiki: This 'headstart' that you're talking about isn't the fault of white people Marcus. It's completely racist of you to blame the disadvantages of black girls on some imaginary thing that white people are doing to them. That's completely false. -
Something big did happen before election day. It's called: "The easiest system ever created for voter fraud just went mainstream. It's called mail-in scamming." The Dems can wait 'til after the election to unravel their new plot. They only need 8 real voters and Biden will still 'win' the election. Honestly, there's a reason why the Dems are pushing for mail-in ballots so hard, and it's because they already have a scam working somewhere. Between all the different mail-in systems working around the country, the Dems found a successful way to run their scam.

It's just unbelievable what's going on now. "We can't keep people in jail, during this time of rioting and violence, because of C19. Large groups are banned. Except for the protestors who are also the rioters and looters. So when people are put in jail for rioting and looting, they get out of jail right away, to riot and loot some more. In a mostly peaceful way of course."

I never said that the media weren't covering this story anywhere, or that they wouldn't carry a story like this. This is the exact kind of Trudeau story that will get more coverage than it deserves, because it portrays him as the wokest of wokes. An example of something that CBC or CTV will never say is that "before Trudeau went to work for SNC, SNC was caught bribing another Liberal politician with $2.3M for help winning a bridge contract." CBC covered the SNC bribery story back when it happened, so they're keenly aware of it, but now that Trudeau is also implicated in an SNC scandal mum's the word. In other words, CBC is covering Trudeau's six. There are stories that the CBC will never touch and by watching their 'news' coverage you're condoning and accepting their corruption. -

Lol, I don't ONLY look at FB memes, but I don't watch CBC or CTV at all. I skim through Global only to see what they're taking about in my community because I have to find out what they're talking about. Not to be rude, but it's actually this debate. I think that there are lots of people that could use government help, but I also think that there was a point in time when they could have helped themselves but didn't. The whole Liberal/Democratic shtick of 'black people need to be babied' isn't true. Black people are no weaker than any other group of people. Instead of focusing on the bogeyman, they need to do what the asians and the white people do, and that's put the time and money into their children so that they have a real chance at a good life. Make sure that they get good grades, and that they are polite, hard-working, and that's it. It's just that easy. Failing that, it's a roll of the dice. It's not a question of 'who will pony up the dough for the kids that I was to lazy or too stupid to raise properly. That's $93M too much, and it's literally just pandering. The problems that black people here think they face are the same problems that grade 8 kids think that they face: COPS ARE BAD! It's grown up time. -

That's a bunch of bullshit. No one is underserved. Some people get far more out of the system than they put in, some get approximately equal, some get far less out of the system than they put in. But everyone gets the basic services and that's all that's guaranteed. People who want more need to earn it, and everyone has a chance to earn it. People with good attitudes and a strong work ethic can always make a good living here. Dr Lewis is a perfect example of that. She's very visibly black (not someone who has to show you pictures of their paternal grandmother to prove that they're 'black'), she's a child of immigrant parents, and she is one of the most highly-educated and well-respected people in the country. In fact she almost won the leadership of the federal Conservative party. If she can accomplish all that as a woman, and a 'black' person, there's no excuse for anyone else who can't at the very least just graduate high school and get a decent job. It all comes down to the individual kid and their parents. The kids who don't have a chance are the ones who allow themselves to be convinced at a young age that "because they look like Trayvon Martin, some white-supremacist Mexican almost-cop is gonna gun them down for fun". By acting like black people need more help from the system than everyone else you're just re-enforcing the bullshit narrative that the world is against them. Only the Libs and Dems are against them. -

No, whites are like everyone else - they are entitled to the protections of the Constitution and the Charter. Period. Discrimination is never ok. Period. -
It's obvious that you've only ever paid attention to one side of the story though. The CNN side gets regurgitated here in Canada via CTV and CBC. They present all the talking points exactly as presented on CNN. Canadians believe that Trump is a huge liar because it was (falsely) proven thousands of times. He lied about collusion 10,000 times (according to the info that CNN had at the time lol). He lied about the wiretap (nope). He lied about Kavanaugh (nope). People like to dump on Trump for covid. Here's a test. Pretend that covid only killed black people, so it is a hugely racist disease, and evidence that a person didn't actually fight against it was evidence that they were intentionally committing genocide. Sounds harsh, but when you raise the bar of what the stakes actually are to where any inaction is unacceptable, you have zero room for excuses. Only actions count. Let's go. Trump formed the c19 task force on Jan 27. He banned travellers from China and other covid hotspots on Jan 31 (except for returning Americans, and they funnelled into a handful of airports for actual screening), while the WHO was recommending countries didn't do that. There were less than 5 confirmed cases in the US at that point. Does it seem like Trump was protecting black people at that time, or killing them? Protect is the correct answer. Trudeau left flights open from covid hotspots for 45 days after Trump had banned them. Trudeau also told Canadians not to wear masks. Canadian airports didn't screen passengers or quarantine them. Does it seem like Trudeau was trying to kill black people or protect them? Kill is the correct answer. The WHO told everyone on earth not to wear masks or ban travel. Were they trying to kill black people or kill them? Kill is the correct answer. When DeBlasio held a press conference on Feb 9th and told NYers that they should continue to ride the subway and eat in restaurants was he trying to kill or protect? Kill is the correct answer. Was DeBlasio's directive on that day the single-biggest killer of the entire c19 saga? Probably 2nd, after the WHO in my opinion. When Pelosi held a public gathering in Chinatown on Feb 24th and encouraged people to congregate in large groups, kill or protect? Kill is the correct answer. When Cuomo put sick people back into black care homes was he trying to kill people or protect them? Kill is the correct answer. When Trump shut down the entire economy, while there were less than 100 deaths in the whole country, was that to kill or protect? Protect is the correct answer. Just remember that Trump was already focusing on protecting Americans from the virus back when the Dems and CNN were exclusively talking about their primaries and Ukrainian collusion (another hoax). In all the DNC debates there was only one question about c19. Trump was so far ahead of the Dems that it's a joke for them to pipe up now and act like covid crusaders. They had no advice at the beginning, aside from the worst advice possible. Now they act like they would have all aced the test. WRONG. That's disgusting. Here's a full list of WH actions to fight c19. https://www.donaldjtrump.com/media/timeline-the-trump-administrations-decisive-actions-to-combat-the-coronavirus/ If the WH's accomplishment list looked like the Trudeau accomplishment list did on March 15th (ie - nothing done at all) the US would be screwed.
-
I'd like for you to provide some evidence of that. I can back anything I said with cites and evidence, but your criticism of Fox is no more than an anecdote. Find me some examples of Fox lying or omitting, not including the voices of their Dem supporters (eg Juan Williams). I will concede that all of Fox's Dem-talkers lie, they go woth whatever CNN's narrative is.
-
TBH, if Hannity was like CNN, where he was in a position where he had to lie to protect the GOP, I don't know what he would do. All I can say for certain is that he told the truth about collusion, but I'll concede that telling those truths was beneficial for him and what he believes in. Obviously CNN would tell the truth too if it advanced their cause, but that's almost never the case. Maybe there's good reason for that though. Maybe Fox and the GOP are just on the right side of history and CNN and the Dems are pure filth. There's no shortage of evidence of the latter. The Dems push for rioting & lockdowns, they call violent riots which include murder & beatings 'mostly peaceful', they demonize police & they want to defund police, their nominee in the last election was a huge cheater, their electoral reforms are all designed to make election fraud easier, the DNC-controlled cities are all shitholes, they are by far the biggest liars in the history of politics (even compared to our own Liberals), etc. The. Dems. Are. Scum.

If President Trump is re-elected
WestCanMan replied to Queenmandy85's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
I agree that Trump is a huge longshot to win. Not because of the electorate, but because of voter fraud. Somehow the party that got caught cheating TWICE in the last election (in the DNC nomination process and by debate question rigging) managed to convince the majority of the country that they need to adopt the most easily-defrauded electoral system ever for the 2020 election. Mail-in voting isn't new, and the Dems must have perfected a way to game that system or they wouldn't be pushing it so hard. -
I'll concede that this isn't a lie, because you didn't know any better at the time that you wrote it and it's not a serious accusation, but you're wrong here. Hannity obviously knew more than other people because he was giving out accurate info about the witch hunt for the whole time while other people were being consistently wrong (very wrong). Hannity was getting a lot of info from sources, like for example his regular contributors Sarah Carter and John Solomon, which never failed to be correct. If you go back in time and look at the whole collusion story as it evolved, and you look at what Hannity was saying month-by-month compared to what Schiff was saying at those times, Hannity appears to have known more, all along, than Adam Schiff. Period. Actually a lot more. Apparently Schiff had literally everything wrong or he's a liar. The evidence that Schiff claimed to have has still yet to be produced, and the investigators of the case say that they never, at any point, had any. I'll reiterate, Hannity deserves an award, and if not him then Sarah Carter and/or John Solomon.
-
Even this is another lie from you MG. Fox does not lie like CNN does. Not even CBC and CTV lie like CNN does, but Fox News doesn't actually lie. What's happened is that you've heard from various sources, who need Fox's accountability to be shot so that they can spin their fake narratives without being challenged, that "you're an idiot if you watch Fox because al they do is lie haw haw" and so you don't watch, and you don't know the truth. This is the same kind of pre-emptive strike on someone else's credibility that they do to protect people like Biden & Hillary. In case you forgot, Hillary was caught cheating twice in the 2016 election, dead to rights, but when you think of 2016 election cheating, you think of Trump who was never even credibly accused. In Biden's case, the story of Hunter's $30K/mo job came out, and the Dems knew it was indefensible so instead of trying to explain it, they went INSANE about "Trump colluded in the Ukraine!!!!" Remember that Hunter got that job in a country that he had never flown to, where he didn't speak the language, and in a career where he had no previous expertise at all. Including bonuses it was well over $30K/month. The ties between Joe and Burisma were cast in stone. Joe was caught lying about the fact that he KNEW Hunter got that job, just like Joe lied about not knowing that Hunter got $1.5B in business from the communist bank of China when he they flew over there on AF2 together. When you think about crimes in Ukraine you think about "why did Trump ask for some help with the Crowdstrike issue" and not, "Why did the Bidens make off like bandits in Ukraine when Joe was supposedly working there on behalf of the US gov't". (now's a good time to ask yourself, 'why would Trump kick the Russian collusion hornet's nest by asking about Crowdstrike if he knew he was guilty'?) I've recited the litany of CNN lies on every topic known to man over the past 4 years, many times. They're not small lies, or innocent lies where they couldn't have known any better. They're big lies and often blatantly stupid ones like "people are in jail for Russian collusion" or "Trump referred to immigrants as animals" or "Trump's anti-Semitism was at least partly to blame for the killings in Pennsylvania". All 100%, easy to spot, certifiable bullshit. No one needed inside information to know that those comments were patently false. Almost every single person who ever heard those words spoken KNEW that they were false instantly, but they've been conditioned to believe that Trump is evil incarnate, so it feels really good to hear things like that. It also feels really good to spread those lies, especially when you get the head nod from a professor or a girl that you want to boink. Then CNN 'lies' by omission, by letting guests come on the show and tell blatant lies, or by airing people's blatant lies without stripping them of credibility, like AOC's "They were forcing women to drink out of toilets!" Honest to god, everyone in NA knew she was lying, or she would have just recorded the truth on her cell phone video. Failing that, there would be a serious investigation into it. There was no investigation, and AOC was never made to walk back that hideous claim though. CNN aired the original comment and then they let it stand. Their dirtiest trick of all though, the thing that makes them evil, is spinning tragedies into political points. Eg, when Omar Mateen killed 50 people in the Pulse nightclub. Those 50 people who laid there screaming and dying in a massive pool of blood deserved to have their accuser named for exactly who and what he was. CNN had no right to shift the blame for their deaths in order to score their own political points. If you and your best friend get killed by some random dude, I'm sure you want your actual killer to go to jail and not just someone of my choosing. We both know for absolute certain that guns laws didn't kill the guys in Pulse, because the gun that Mateen used was illegal in the US before Mateen was born. "Republican hate" wasn't to blame, because there's only one group of people that shout allah's name when they kill large groups of people. Yet CNN knowingly spun that tragedy into an attack on gun laws and Republicans and a bunch of total fuckin' idiots gobbled that crap up and regurgitated it far and wide. People should have been livid that CNN lied to them like that but they were happy for the advice - "here's how to use this tragedy against the GOP toadies, now rush off and do our bidding." WHEN THE ACCUSATION OF RUSSIAN COLLUSION CAME OUT - Fox News didn't instantly say it was all lies, they instantly started reporting on what THE ACTUAL FACTS WERE, AT THE TIME THAT THEY CAME OUT. Every week Schiff came out and said: "We've got the goods now, Trump is on the verge of impeachment" but he lied every time. Hannity followed the facts and he nailed that story ONE HUNDRED PERCENT. McCabe prediction - 100%. Strzok prediction - 100%. FISA court lying prediction - 100%. Etc, etc, etc. Now CNN's pre-emptive attack has switched temporarily from Trump to Hannity. "NOBODY LOOK AT HANNITY'S RECORD ON RUSSIAN COLLUSION!!!! PAY ATTENTION TO THE FACT THAT WE'RE DISCREDITING HIM!!!!!!!" Dude you KNOW CNN lied for 3 years about collusion and everything else. You know Hannity got that all 100% correct. Hannity scored all the touchdowns, he won the game fair and square. Man up and admit it.
