1,500 deaths a week is a lot when the majority of them are 20-35 yr olds. Those people have, on average, 50 years left. That's 75,000 years of life lost per week. When you compare that to covid it's outrageously high. About 2/3 of the people who die of covid in Canada are over 80. They lose maybe a few months each of life expectancy. Most of the rest are over 70. I obviously can't do the math with the scant numbers that I have access to, but 75,000 years is probably the number of years of life lost by about 150,000 covid victims. All of the covid deaths since Jan 2020 (just over 1M) have probably robbed Americans of as many years as Fentanyl takes away in 2 months or less.
