It actually is brilliant, imo. The NDP is forcing Carney to step up to the microphone, hat in hand, and say: "The NDP forced me to do these things on behalf of Canadians." Trudeau managed to really run the show from behind the scenes last time, which was ideal for a little slitherer like him, and whatever concessions Jagmeet may or may not have gotten from him backstage, Trudeau still got to walk to the mic and be the big leader. This was a power move by the NDP, and if they can force Carney to grovel on camera, I think they can win a lot of their support back.

The genesis of this whole war is 6-8 muslim nations descending on Israel, on day 1 of their existence, to carry out the exact same type of genocide that the Pakistanis unleashed on Hindus and Sikhs 8 months earlier, when Pakistan was created through the same type of partitioning as Israel was. All those countries saw Pakistan get away with a genocide in the millions, completely purging the land of religious minorities, and they all forgave Pakistan instantly. The whole theory that any of the muslims who scream about injustices in that region are concerned for "the safety and the lives of women and children" is total BS. Not even one islamic hamas supporter on this planet cares about the deaths of women and children, all they care about is their religion. I can promise you that if 10M people die, but they're all Jews, and Palestinians get to occupy every inch of Israel, the muslim hamas supporters will be happy as clams. I can promise you that if everyone who is currently alive in Israel and Palestine now lives out their full life cycle, but the borders don't change, the muslim hamas supporters will be plotting death and terrorist attacks forever.

It's 2025 and we theoretically just re-elected the LPOC, despite ten years of scandals and the fact that Carney got caught telling multiple huge lies in his few weeks on the campaign trail. It's a good speech, but even if Canadians suddenly agreed to do this, we're still coming in a day late and a dollar short. We're under Trump's heel right now and nothing that we're doing or saying is changing that. By the time we can finally get around to eliminating interprovincial trade barriers and developing new trading partners (and Trump will never let Canada negotiate an auto pact with Japan, Korea or Germany) we'll be bankrupt, and that's IF our government was even trying to do what's bet for Canadians... When was the last time an LPOC gov't did that? Our only hope right now would be if the US media and Dems were going against Trump on this and they're not. They're more worried about the catchy woke BS of the day. America's deteriorating relationship with Canada isn't even on their radar.

I'll say this for Carney: he was elected into the toughest role of any Canadian PM ever... Ordinarily you'd think that following a narcissistic fascist who seems gay and just got dumped by his wife would be an easy task, but Trudeau left this country in sorry shape and headed downhill fast. And that was BEFORE the trade war with the US started. For Carney to halt the downward slide and just maintain the status quo, without ballooning our budget, in the face of Trump's brutal assault on our economy would be an astonishing success, but when you factor in his minority gov't and the need to satisfy one of the NDP, Greens and Bloc... Winston Churchill was the last western leader to be in a tighter spot than Carney is. If Canada doesn't implode or Carney get the boot within 6 months I will be shocked.

India is still building a lot of coal plants as well, but nowhere near what China is doing. These plants are slated to be online for 40-50 years. This mess with the children is caused by the pull factor that the Dems exert on illegal immigrants: "We have free shelter, free medical, free food, sanctuary cities, we'll allow you to vote..." Lots of people come for free stuff. It puts people at risk crossing the desert, crossing the Rio Grande, puts them in debt to human traffickers, lands them in the poorest and most crime-riddled neighbourhoods, and then it's inevitable that sometimes adults get detained and then handling their children becomes a huge issue which there's no real win for. All of the problems that you're talking about stem from the Dems' failed policies, lack of concern for humans, and general uselessness & stupidity.

Left4rds like to ignore the fact that tens of thousands of children come across the border without their parents. The border is a mess. Human trafficking is a mess. It's gonna take some time and some real effort to sort it all out.
