The Banana Republic is at it again
WestCanMan replied to Wilber's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Bubber I have a bridge that's high enough to stay above the new water levels from global warming. It's in San Francisco. Just $5M US. Sweet deal. Wanna buy it. -

Climate change is real. Man-made climate change is a joke. -

Some people go bankrupt in every economy. The stock market is still 25% higher than it has ever been. Countries like that little Asian place, China or whatever it's called, are choosing to play ball by Trump's new rules. Climate change, aka the sky is falling, is a joke. Russian collusion is still at 0% proven after more than 2 years of investigation. Yes you need to go on. This is awesome. -
Scheer is a smiley, uncontroversial leader who can challenge Trudeau for votes "in the middle". The voters that have come to their senses. In my opinion the last thing that we need is for Bernier to say something about immigration that gives Trudeau a chance to start virtue signalling. Trudeau will get crucified if the election is about policy or his abysmal track record, but he'll always win a virtue signalling contest.

I find it hard to believe that the Libs are way ahead. This smacks of the 2016 US Presidential polls that had Hillary way up. It's like the pollsters are trying to say "these are the cool kids" to stop voters from taking all of the damning facts seriously. The only people I know who would speak in favour of Trudeau are completely vacuous types who barely even pay attention to politics.

Is that tweet just a hoax? I don't like T Noah but no one would be stupid enough to post that.

Correction, it's only "taxpayer" money. The money that Trudeau has salted away in foreign trust funds isn't going anywhere, and his toady friends will be raking that $1.3 Billion worth of taxpayer money in.

The nation's demise...? Can you quantify that? -
Hilary singing Trump's song on migration

Climate change isn’t the real issue. Shortage of clean water is a bigger issue, and it’s mainly due to overpopulation. When water sources are tapped to the max it takes very little to tip the scales. -

Chicken little's climate theories are causing mass stupidity, or at least gathering the birds of a duller feather. Globalization isn't causing mass migration either. War in Syria and other shithole countries is causing a forced exodus from Arica and the middle east. In the western hemisphere mass migration is a combination of 3 things: the dumpster fire known as socialism in Venezuela, Trump boasting about the strong American economy, and the Democrats' encouragement of illegal immigration and a whole plethora of other idiotic policies. -
Trudeau and his toadies are talking out of both sides of their mouths. They talk like they want the pipeline when they're out west, but when they're in a foreign country they're all about shutting down the oil sands. If your realtor said that they were trying really hard to sell your house, but they're also posting on social media about how your home is a hideous blight on the environment, do you really think they're trying to sell your house? Or if they are, are they doing a good job of it? Do you think they're trying their best?
-
IMO they can deal with anything they want privately, as long as it's not a crime. Crimes are a matter for the police and judicial system. If I commit a crime it's not cool for the rest of Canada if I just have to answer to my mom for it.

Hilary singing Trump's song on migration

Hillary is an idiot. When you're a leader you're supposed to see problems in advance, not just notice them afterwards. The only thing that got her this far is her sickening lust for power and her pathological lying. People complain about Trump's comments about crowd size and the weather at his inauguration, those aren't even material facts and they're not lies either. The Benghazi lies were epic and the whole affair showed her complete lack of competence and awareness. She would have been in way over her head if she was elected. -
https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/montreal/arrest-warrant-imam-sermon-montreal-mosque-hate-jews-1.4209384 This is the extent of what I could find re: muslim leaders trying to suppress hate speech. One imam's personal account of a conversation that he theoretically had with other imams. It's basically just him saying "we are dealing with it privately".

The thing with walls is that once they're up, they do most of the work themselves. It would be exponentially more expensive to continually police every inch of that border 24/7/365 with thousands of humans, dogs, drones, etc, for the length of time that a wall would be up. And you could never stop the large caravans without walls. Tens of thousands of people all rushing the border 24/7 for a few weeks straight.... You'd need a large army to keep that under control. Another thing about stopping groups like that with just raw manpower is that it would also require huge detainment centers, plus staffing for said buildings, food and clothing for people being held there, and huge teams of immigration officials to deal with such a rush of people. It's like putting the toothpaste back in the tube, because once you release them they're just going to turn around and rush the border again. -
Do you know that's the case or are you just making that assumption? And fwiw, I don't really care how much money people pour into our country in support of our industries. The biggest joke in all of this is that people like climate Barbie (aka pro-raw-sewage Barbie) cry about Canadian oil going through our coastal waterways to foreign markets, but they don't care that foreign oil is coming into our country through the exact same waterways.

Nothing would be to ignore it and hope it goes away all by itself. Keeping it in the national discourse is something all by itself. Electing a government like they did in Ontario is also something. al quds day speeches and other hate speeches of that sort will have to be held in basements from now on, where they belong. It was good to see it out in the open though, just to give Canadians a better sense of what we're dealing with.
-
So you think that what was said at the last a-q day rally amounted to no more than "boo"? Do you think that hate rallies should be more common? Do you ever attend hate rallies? Would you go to the next al quds day hate rally?

There were Allah-worshippers before mohammed came along, and there wasn't a problem with Jews at that time. When mohammed was kicked out of Mecca for his violent bigotry, his problem at that time was actually with people who worshipped Allah but were still polytheists, and worshipped lesser gods as well. The problem that will forever sour relations between the Jews and Muslims is that mohammed's army captured a tribe of Jews and beheaded all the men (est. between 500-900) who refused to convert, and then forced the women and children into rape-slavery. he was there at the time. Whether his intent was to attack only that specific tribe of Jews, it's easily interpreted by muslims today as proof that the way to deal with another religion is by genocide, with any means possible. The attack on the Banu Qurayza set a deadly precedent.
-
It doesn't have to call for "the deaths of all Jews" to qualify as hate speech. And you're setting the bar pretty high eyeball. Holding a rally to incite bigotry-inspired violence and killing is an open-ended task that doesn't stop at just a few, or 80,000.
-
How did it grow eyeball? Did someone attack Israel and then end up getting hoisted on their own petard? You're asking other people to tell the truth while you're being deliberately misleading. Israel's land mass went from what, 0.85% to 0.86% of the land in the Arabian peninsula? And now the Palestinian refugees have nowhere to go for the last 70 yrs? Is that your point? Why are you so fixated on that land? Can the Hindus get back some of their land in Pakistan? Can they get their lives back? Can 70,000 women be un-raped now? Your humanitarian streak is focused on a very specific group of people. You don't care about anyone else. That actually seems more like bigotry than humanitarianism.
-
You seem to think that talking about things like "eradicating Israel" and "wiping out Israel" and the fact that "Israel was wiped out" before is ok if you just fall a bit short of actually promoting genocide. It's not as cute as you think. It's actually a really sick little dance that you are doing. You have no clue how evil those events actually were. mohammed himself presided over the beheadings of approximately 800 Jews (the Banu Qurayza - google it) when they refused to convert to islam. Their wives and children were forced into rape-slavery. They have done this to over 100 million people in the 1,400 years since, and they still did things mohammed's way in this decade, in Syria. That is the method by which Israel was wiped from the map. What you are accusing Israel of is a total joke by comparison and it's really pathetic that you would talk about muslim-style eradication.
-
We should have a sign that says "If you're an asshole you're gone" and we should abide by it. But we don't. If we actually did that then there would be no problems.

Zionism and Wahhabism are completely different. To understand zionism, think about how badly muslims would want mecca back if it was taken over by a different culture/religion. Taking back what's actually yours, or something that you at least have some form of credible claim to, isn't as evil as killing people to take what's theirs by right. Zionism used to be really evil, when the land didn't actually belong to the Jews and they were committing war crimes and making deals with evil people to get it back. Zionism has changed into protecting the land that they have now which is far less "evil". It's actually "normal". Just like the Saudis would protect Mecca, and the actual families living in Saudi Arabia. Wahhabism is entirely different. Think more along the lines of what "zionization" would mean. No other belief system, rules of law, or bills/charters of rights would be allowed to exist anywhere. Jewish law would control everything, everywhere around the world, on penalty of death and the enslavement of your children.
