  1. And if you throw in Ekos in the mix it gets even more nuts.
  2. Let's call a spade a spade. "Zero Tolerance for Barbaric Cultural Practices Act" is simply the Conservative party turning up the heat ahead of the debates tonight.
  3. I'd love to get yours as well as others feedback. I took an extensive look and am quite fairly certain that's one of the more accurate polls. If you see on the top right, they also did update today their #'s. I'm fairly certain it wasn't around in 2011, so that's a downer. (for comparison sake)
  4. You're assuming that is what they would do. I'm not so sure that if I wanted to blow up Canada, I'd be able to find enough people oversees that would have the same cause. Blow up the US maybe, but Canada?
  5. Because they then can't come and leave this country. They would have no right to.
  6. With all the talk on the other side about how it's not fair etc, imagine if a terrorist tried to kill you and your family, would you want them convicted and then thrown out of the country? I for sure know I would!!!
  7. Does anyone know what's going on with the EKOS poll? I would have expected them to public their results yesterday, but still nothing.
  8. What, you mean revoke citizenship? Yes, they already have revoked citizenship from two people. If you mean revoke citizenship to a Canadian who only has a Canadian passport? They are trying. There's one convicted terrorist who was born in Canada, but whose parents are from Pakistan. So they are trying to get his Pakistani passport so they can yank the Canadian one. I'm all for that.
  9. Oh. I think I misinterpreted your statement. In a perfect world, I'd go and jail every terrorist out there who threatens to harm us for life, even if we have to bear the tax $ to do so. The reality is that a convicted terrorist (Toronto 18) is eligible for parole next year. So clearly we can't jail them for life. In that case, my argument is that we kick them out of the country and yank their citizenship, so they can't come back into this country, which is a right AFAIK of any Canadian citizen. If they want to harm us, make it that much more difficult for them to do so - by yanking their passport.
  10. Because why would they? There's no incentive for them to do so. It's not like they're going to go "screw you Canada, I hate you and I'm going to bomb you, oh and hey, please take back my passport as well".
  11. Haahahaha! Political junkies FTW! My understanding of US politics is much worse than my understanding of Canadian politics, but I follow the US presidential election like the way I follow it in Canada. As far as the UK, Middleton is the only thing I focus on
  12. The issue is that we arrest them, but we can't keep them in jail! Like that Toronto 18 bomber who's eligible for parole in 2016. If you make me choose between him roaming free in Canada or to deport his butt, I choose the latter.
  13. Fair point. Would you happen to have the article from Grenier? I can't seem to find it, and it does very much interest me! (I'm a huge political junkie )
  14. I'm not entirely sure. The Australians are examining the idea. There's some UN? law that prevents this though, so not sure how they'll get around this.
  15. I get the idea, but I am against it. I am for the party that wins the most seats in the house is the one that governs.
  16. If you have an issue with this, I suggest you take it up with your MP so the electoral process gets changed.
  17. I suspect you are right. Does anyone have this number? I remember reading this yesterday in some poll!
  18. Why does it seem bizarro? The Conservative party's values are completely against the values of the NDP/Liberals. I would not want Harper in any coalition with the NDP/Liberals as well. The EKOS poll reflected that well!
  19. Yes. Not the entire list, just the list off the top of my head: UK, US, New Zealand, France and (of course) Canada. Australia is passing legislation at the moment as well. In fact, Australia goes one step farther. They're looking at stripping citizenship for only sole Australian passport holders as well!!
  20. Take a look at the methodology. It's rather...interesting. Also, if you see upthread, you can see why that poll was commissioned. Nanos/Forum/Ekos did not predict the BC Premier win recently either. They all predicted a NDP win.
  21. They already do.
  22. He's just going to hand them out to everyone under the sun. Quite literally if you follow his revised immigration policies and how many Syrians he wants to bring in.
  23. I don't think the polls account for that at all. Perhaps this one does, but not the NANOS/EKOS/Forum. http://signal.thestar.com/
