  1. I strongly do not believe that a coalition government would last very long. If Trudeau commited to not running a deficit, maybe. But if you really think it through, I don't think Mulcair and Trudeau could get along sufficiently to form a coalition government.
  2. Wow. Who's runner up and who's winning in that riding?
  3. Like giving money to the Liberals and NDP, they're never going to give it back to you. They'll promise to follow up, but that'd be about it How mature. Resorting to a personal attack
  4. Versus Ontario?
  5. Comments like this baffle me. The economy has finally recovered beceause of due diligence with the 2008 investments and a government that keeps stuff lean so we can pay down our deficit. The other two want to spend $20 billion, plunge us back into deficits for no valid reason (2008 was a global financial crisis). Why? So they can play PM. Vote with your head!
  6. Yes, now that I've researched it....I understand the gravity. Mind you, I hate history, but I'm pretty sure that it's never been taught to me. Plus, I went to one of the top private schools in Vancouver, so perhaps it's because of that. Perhaps the public school system teaches it.
  7. To be fair, I didn't know what Auschwitz was either...
  8. Look at how quickly and aggressively the Conservatives managed to pay down the deficit. As in, actually Google it. You can't pay off that amount of deficit in 1 year. It's impossible. The Cons have spent $84 billion on Infrastructure - the HIGHEST in the history of Canada. The Liberals want to TRIPLE that. Look, I get the point of investing in Infrastructure, but Trudeau is buying votes by whoring the Canadian economy. Most G7 countries are STILL in a deficit when we have finally dug ourselves out of one, without raising taxes. How do you think the liberals and/or the NDP will fund their $20 billion promises. Here's a hint. By raising taxes. I wish people would actually go research stuff instead of spewing off party lines.
  9. Because they needed to recover from the 2008 recession, they dumped in huge spending, and then kept reduced it year after year. I posted about this last night. I strongly believe no other government would have gotten us out of a deficit.
  10. They passed Bill C51 and 24 in 4 years. For how complex those are, I'm surprised you're insinuating the Tories were slow. Do you remember the Liberal majority days?
  11. I know my riding was affected this way. Usually PC, but 308 puts the PC at 53% probability. It's all teeter totter due to the riding changes.
  12. Precisely. Between a 12 year old boy and an angry old man whose party has never run this country, I'll stick with the devil I know.
  13. Agreed. 99% of free trade deals were done under a Conservative government. The liberals are all show and no substance, like Trudeau.
  14. This is sure not the case for me! Between the GST changes and the TFSA, I'm doing much better under Harper
  15. Well, the PC votes are allegedly coming from the NDP...so...
  16. So in your mind, you are saying Canada's screwed financially. Ok, I buy that. It could be a possibility. So at this point, you're going to vote for two parties that want to spend/waste BILLIONS of $. That's poor logic. The whole 6 consecutive deficit argument is getting old. Libs/NDP's do this over and over again. 2008 was not a "bump", it was a HUGE one off.
  17. I highly doubt I would vote Cons if Harper was not in power. Like him or hate him, he is one smart man. He reminds me of Chretian back in the day. I disliked his policy, but he was a damn good politician.
  18. That's an easy one. Democratic vote: Spend more, tax more. Republican vote: Spend more, tax less Uhh....screwed anyways
  19. LOL. This suggestion (not yours, but others) is like saying... MOM, I can't have what I want. So let's change the entire game then so I can have what I want.
  20. Strategic voting has been around forever. If you take into account that the Cons have a higher voter turnout............
  21. What? I'm infinitely against vote splitting, as I have mentioned many times.
  22. Please read up on how our election process works.
  23. Yes, it's a collasal insult to those that fought for our freedom. As I have mentioned, I have voted Lib/NDP/Con in my life. Pick the one that aligns to your value. Maybe I'm just far too old, but I shake my head at posts like this.
