  1. For the Nth time, the Niqab discussion has been months in the making, well before Crosby got here.
  2. That there will be no other conditions that will be added into C24 that will allow the government to revoke citizenship.
  3. Well.........................you know that's still arson and illegal right?
  4. Harper did, last night in the French debates.
  5. And people wonder why I don't put up signs
  6. The federal election is always indicative of how stupid people can be. Basically anyone who disagrees with who you vote for is stupid. It drives me nuts, and yes, I do refer to a lot of voters as stupid. But yeah, elections bring out the BEST in people
  7. The point I was trying to make is that you somehow think that Harper deflecting things is bad, but if a member of the party you align yourself with does it, it's ok. Anyways, back to the topic at hand.
  8. Every politician does this. Heck, Wynne was the master of this! A Liberal majority even during a gas plant scandal.
  9. Utopia. Sign me up please!
  10. That's where your opinion and mine differ. I believe we do not adequately deal with our own messes. In light of that, I'd like to see convicted terrorists as far away from this country as possible. - I even hold the view that if they only have a Canadian passport, that we should strip them of that too.
  11. As I said before, let's call a spade a spade. The real purpose behind this is pure politics, plain and simple.
  12. I've already said that the hot line is categorically stupid. It's called 911. However, the Conservatives are putting money towards resolving the very things you mention. No other party is calling out those issues in society. For that, I stand behind this directive. And how do you know that the young people are over the age of consent. There is hardly any, if not no data on this problem.
  13. The problem is that we can't take care of our own mess. One of the convicted terrorists is eligible for parole next year.
  14. My point was that that article you mentioned did not tell me anything that the US government doesn't want to tell me. (e.g. the stuff that would take away from their negotiating power). So why spend the money to put forward such a document when one knows 99.9% of the American public would not go through it. It's a waste of taxpayer money. My stance is...(directed to the government, not you) go negotiate, tell me what you end up getting, and then I'll vote on it. It's the most efficient way to spend taxpayer money, IMHO.
  15. Yeah let's start hurling personal attacks. Lame.
  16. I was not attacking you. You brought up that saying, not me!
  17. My money is on the former. And yes, I did see that last night. We are all political junkies on here
  18. 99% of free trade deals have been done under a Conservative government (federally). Why do people think the Liberals are known for trade?
  19. It's pointless, that's my stance on it. It doesn't offer anything substantial that I didn't know already.
  20. So you're going to vote in someone who has been essentially a failure in life that has been raised by an elitist who has no experience in running a country? That's just sad. If I were in support of Mulcair (and I have voted NDP before), I'd vote for the NDP. Full stop.
  21. Ha! Yeah, we'll see about that. A conservative minority is the most likely outcome. The fool me once, fool me twice comment...yeah, if the Liberals do get in, shame on you.
  22. The objectives are simple. To improve reach by way of free trade agreements (which 99% of all free trade agreements have been done under a Conservative government) and to increase the number of jobs. If certain sectors like the dairy/auto business have to take a hit, so be it. Protectionism never is a positive benefit to the economy long term.
  23. So roll back of the TFSA at around $5000 and the good old Liberal way of financing stuff through debt and the inevitable raise in your taxes is something you're not considering? Perhaps I'm too old now and I remember the Liberal days of promising everything to everyone and then reneging on those words.... "We'll eliminate the GST!" followed by "oops, sorry." Harper has promised the GST cut from 7% to 6%, and said once they balance the budget it'll go to 5%, and he did that. He promised the TFSA, and he did that. He promised to increase it, and he did that. He promised to increase the TFSA wrt inflation, and he did that. If anything, give the NDP a shot, at least they've never held power ,but to vote Liberal, that's just insane. 3 years of deificts, and then a balanced budget by the 4th year? That just means either a huge tax hike or program spending cuts. When you run a deficit, either you have a permanent deficit (how's the US doing btw?) or you raise taxes. Full stop.
  24. In spite of who, Trudeau? If so, wow, just wow.
  25. The Liberals loved it when the vote was split on the right prior to the forming of the CPC. It was like that for a LONG while, so complain all you want, finally the right can stand behind one party.
