History re-visited. Same type of hate tactics were used in the 1930's resulted in 6 million innocent lives in Europe. Women and men and children of Jewish origin were rounded up and sent to their death by those who fed and grew on hatred. The only difference is that target has changed from Jews to Muslims. Those who rape then punish them (and I strongly support capital punishment for those who commit violent crimes against defenseless women and children) but only those who commit the crime. Don't spread hate against millions just because a tiny thousand commit a horrible crime. And stop making allegations you cannot prove.

Federal budget was balanced in the usual MANIPULATIVE way by these CONSERVATIVES on the back of venerable people like veterans. They manipulated the numbers, made cuts to venerable citizens, sold assets in order to come up with a positive number just before the election.

Because unlike you I don't categorize them based on the religion or the size of their bank account but rather the size of their hearts and minds. Anyone who qualities by having skills to contribute positively to Canada regardless of religion, skin color, race, national origin, gender, sexual orientation is welcomed. And I don't wish to flood Canada with those you listed or anyone else. Only a reasonable number who can be absorbed well and without putting pressure on our education, health and social systems and in my view that number is about half what we take in now. I think it started when some said that the West, Canada included has the responsibility to do its share and take immigrants from troubled regions since they have created it. And some people denied that the West has anything at all to do with any of these problems and it is their own culture which has created dictators and troubles for them which is against democracy and then I posted with strong evidence that at least in one country and one occasion the west is directly responsible for the mess the world is now since by staging the coup of 1953 they murdered democracy in Iran in its infancy and led to 1979 revolution and as a result a very anti west government and hence now they help Assad in Syria and hence so many refugees...... On you first paragraph, If we do it properly we can screen out the undesirables. We have point system, immigrants go through interviews, may be we can include some written tests too. It is not fair to exclude hundreds of millions of nice people who can effectively contribute to this country just because their countrymen is bad. Not fair. What do you call them? Collateral damage? Not based on my experience. If we allow peasants yes may be but when we select based on education and skills among the educated population the percent difference is not that wide..

Seriously your comment is so flawed. My only conclusion is that you have very limited experience with non-Europeans. Likely you assume them guilty and refuse association. Your comment is completely contrary to my personal experiences. I have met many people of various races and nationalities. I have traveled a lot. Lived in many countries between few weeks to few years. Met many nationalities in the universities and place of work as well. IT IS NOT BLACK AND WHITE AS YOU SEE IT. There are many nice people of European origin and many assholes too. There are many nice people of non-European origin and many assholes too. It is not a race specific or continent specific thing. That said I admit percentage wise the percentage of those adoptable to our culture is higher in Western and Latin Europe than the rest of the world and likely lowest in Asia and Middle East Again it varies where in Asia and middle east. First of all you did not answer my question and that was if you don't hate anyone why you wish to ban 80% of population who are non-Europeans and call them names especially Muslims (refer to your own posts). And you refused to comment when I said I have met many Europeans who also hate Jews and homosexuals and women. And many non-Europeans who are more progressive and advance thinking and respectful than many Europeans. You just refused. The fundamental of your question is incorrect. We want to select pick everyone European or not who are highly skillful and can contribute to Canada and make this country better and who are adopted to our compassionate kind way of life, European or whatever else is there. There are many who hate all that you listed in Europe too. I know that as a fact as I lived there for a few years in childhood as my father was invited by research institutions in France, United Kingdom so I have lived in both places. There are groups of National Front sympathizers in UK for example who were physically attacking Jews and gays and especially colored people too. This was Europe. Not to mention Nazi Germany a few decades before that.

Why you keep on limiting your pick to Europe then? Why you don't say like I do that "I am fine with anyone who is civilized and are assimilated already into a compatible culture and society?? Why? I have posted before that in my life I have met many non-Europeans (in 10 years I spend in various universities, in bars, in communities,....) and made friends with many of them. Many of them are as advanced and civilized if not more than many Europeans. It is not based on race or color or national origin but rather an individual thing.

Well based on his own saying he hates them all not just one of them. This does not include Asians (Chinese, Indians, Japanese......) or Blacks (Africans), or Hispanics (in Central South America not Europe) and yes he has repeatedly shown his hate for middle eastern. Who is we? You are in a group or something? Do you represent some extreme right wing organization or the former regime of Ian Smith? And since when the extreme right recognizes Jews as equals? Didn't they send them to gas chambers not long ago? Did they change their color now because Jews are now powerful and they can't win a war against them? Same for gays.

As I said I am no expert in Haitian politics but it is not Canada's nature to do what US and UK have done frequently that is to overthrow nationalist governments like in Iran and Chile to rob them of their wealth or install their own puppet regimes in order to protect their own self interest. Also and more importantly Haiti is a poor country likely the poorest in this continent so what benefits would a coup bring to Canada?. Does it have oil like Iran did? No. Does it have wealth? No. So Canada's involvement very likely must have been with good intentions going wrong. That is to help the people of Haiti with democracy and overthrow a dictator but didn't work out the way it was planned (I am guessing as I know Canada's reputation as a moderate kind helpful country).

I think Canada's role is debatable. I don't think your source is that credible. It may have hosted the initiation but the actual task of carrying out the coup, not sure Canada played a physical role in it like sending troops. To answer your question if Canada was responsible for creating many starving homeless refugees then yes Canada has to take them.

Canada did this????!!!! Are you re-inventing history. I am no expert in Haitian politics but I think it was US. No? The debate here is not about Iran's development of nuclear weapons which btw, those countries who have it (like US and UK) and those countries who have developed it in Secret (like Israel) are asking Iran not to do what they have done it themselves. But the debate is whether US and UK are responsible for Arab spring (and if they are then they have to take most of the refugees since they created it) and I said based on historic evidence that they are both evil (and I provided two examples, one in middle east) I wouldn't put it beyond them. I also said that they may not be as I admitted to my lack of expertise when it comes to Arab politics.

The Evil US-British alliance of 1953 and their total disregard for democracy and well being of the people of Iran when it comes to their national interest is a clear indicator of how evil the two countries are and that they could be responsible for a lot of evil things happening in the world, I admitted I am no expert in Arab politics but I was saying based on historic evidence of what they did in 1953 (and as another example of total disregard for democracy and the will of people is the CIA sponsored coup in Chile in 1973 which also put the brutal dictator Pinochet in power and overthrow nationalist government of Allende) they are both evil and it is likely that they may be responsible for the mess in Arab world too.
